Key Fob help

2018 Big Horn

So first My key fob lock button didn’t work, but the unlock button/proximity did. The truck keeps randomly unlocking itself when I get near it without me pressing anything(I’ll hear it rapidly unlocking itself 3 times in a row). I replaced the battery and it still does it. If I remove the fob battery completely, the issue stops. I have a spare that’s the manual key but rather use fob/auto start sometimes. Anyone had this happen before? Shit is weird

Short and sweet:

F150 - 2.7 reliable I’m told, first owner lease, Sport edition so interior and decal is cool imo, good APR estimate though it’s only pre qualification.

2020 Ram - skeptical at first but first owner was in Ontario & did oil changes in good time, done a couple undercoatings/rust proofing as recent as last year, trans fluid changed then too. 2nd owner was a ministry🤔but anyway it’s V6 8 speed

2018 Ram - oil changes done legit every 5k sometimes 3k miles, 5.7 hemi, looks decent some things I’d change maybe but estimated payment is lowest/best APR somehow

First truck need some input - PO don’t be bias with the 150

UPDATE: went with the 18’ Ram. 5.7 is just unbeatable imo. Once a dodge charger owner so I missed the anyway plus got a great rate in budget. The ford was a pinch close to going home but I didn’t feel it, sport interior was pretty good though. Thanks to all that commented.

Wastegate/Drivetrain

2014 BMW 428i N20, Stage 2. Getting P1290 – Turbocharger Wastegate Stop Not Learned with a drivetrain malfunction and CEL. Car still drives normal-ish meaning no smoke or major noises, just a lag under heavy throttle. I had a loose wastegate actuator/linkage tightened a couple years ago and it went away but now it’s back. Anyone had this end up being an actuator/relearn/linkage issue instead of a new turbo?

Last week my main mechanic couldn’t get code cleared after retightening so he said I should go to dealer. Dealer is backed up obviously so I went to another shop in meantime for second opinion. They quoted me $5700 for turbo replacement….

They did provide the codes 123401 & 123412.
