Gonna eat this bad boy in the tub. Hard boiled egg with a dab of mayo, elote seasoning and two kinds of Tapatio, pickled garlic, pickled okra, pickled jalapeño… and a little slab of cheddar to take the edge off 🤤
Edit for anyone who is confused: this is half of the pan of fried rice. Weighed to be sure it was exactly half. Total recipe makes TWO servings of rice. This plate, in this picture is 545 calories :)
Fried rice and bibigo chicken dumplings are a great dinner for when you are really needing that stretched stomach feeling of full.
1 cup cooked white rice: ~205
2 eggs: ~140
2 oz cabbage: ~14
1.8 oz onion: ~20
1.7 oz carrots: ~20
1.5 oz bell pepper: ~12
2 oz shelled edamame: ~68
Garlic: ~10
Soy sauce: ~10-20
Sesame oil- 40 (optional and not included in count)
Spray oil: negligible to ~10
Cook the rice earlier because cold rice works best. High heat and a quick spray of (for me avocado) oil. Sauté onion and carrot first for a couple min, add the rest of the veggies and cook while stirring until soft but not soggy. Push them over and crack/scramble the eggs. Add the rice. Mix. Add the sauce of 2 tablespoons soy and up to 1 teaspoon sesame oil (I also tossed in some apple cider vinegar cause I like the tang) and that makes 2 servings. 1 serving is what you see in the pic. Total pan is 500-515
The bibigo chicken dumplings are 250 cal for the entire tray plus 25 for the sauce. I’m pretty sure someone here put me on to them. I’ve never posted cause this sub intimidates me, I hope y’all like it!
The crazy part is that I totally forgot it happened until something reminded me.
(I hope this part doesn’t count as breaking the dream
sharing rule. I just want to share how it happened!) I was talking to to strangers and I touched the beautiful not-meant-to-be-touched wall behind them saying “it doesn’t matter. It’s fake, I’m dreaming so I can do whatever I want.”
Then I realized it actually was a dreams and I could do whatever I wanted! So I started making deliberate choices… so cool!
Strangely though, it still felt like choices someone would only make in a dream, almost like the choices weren’t under my control idk how to explain it I’m still just a baby 😂
Then my cat woke me up and I was so so bummed.
I think my recent VR purchase is what made the difference and it’s interesting to think about the connection. In the dream I was able to recognize it as “fake” because it felt similar to playing VR games.
Anyway, just wanted to share cause I’ve never had that experience even with trying all the things that are supposed to work and I’m super excited about it. Maybe VR was a key I didn’t expect. Hopefully it will happen again!
She is an independent woman too, let me tell ya. Sometimes I’ll reach to pet her and she will juke me like she doesn’t even know me. On the bed she likes the sit right out of reach and stare at me while I frantically try to convince her to come cuddle.
She does love the pets IF she wants them and they can be administered at ground level or if they are coming from her dad. She always welcomes pets from the man who saved her.
But she isn’t a snuggle all the time lap cat. In fact… human laps? She would never, don’t be gross.
Somehow, the one thing that I expected her to never let me do, she does 100% of the time when I ask. I think I accidentally trained her cause I can’t imagine she actually wants to but who knows? Any time I say “can I have a kiss” and pucker my clunky stupid non-tuna scented human lips at her she always comes and physically touches her little muzzle to them. She lets me make my muah sound without flinching or pulling away and then goes back on with her day.
And every time I feel like I just pulled off the greatest one time trick of my life.
She also lets me kiss her head WITH the same horrible kissing sounds that cats hate and doesn’t dodge it or attack my face. It’s the cutest thing in the world and man I hope she never changes her little kitty mind.
I was genuinely startled to look over and see this. I swear a second before the bottle opened they were downstairs 😂
