What are honest opinions of general idea of Korean Americans from Koreans?

Hello, I’m going to be traveling to Korea for the first time to meet my aunts and uncles and cousins from both sides of the family and grandparents from my dad’s side and was wondering what cultural norms I should know beforehand as someone who grew up in a predominantly Korean town in America to a very very rural part in American with rarely any Koreans/ not much Korean community to be around daily. What are some stuff I should be wary of such as scams that target obvious foreigners, would I be targeted as I have more tan skin and less Korean features in my opinion compared to my siblings. I have to worry about any “racism” as I saw a blogger by the name Hjevelyn get racist remarks by one crazy lady who repeatedly asked her (a Korean born Korean American) who was there for visitation if she was Chinese and called her slurs for Chinese people.. and shamed her by asking which part of America she was from calling her poor even though she explained she was from nyc. I just want to have some basic knowledge and not be made fun of my more Americanized sounding Korean accent (tell my friend point out that I have very obvious Korean lisps when i soeak english? Although i forgot most of the korean from when i was younger cause i live in the country). Thank you

Do hamsters and dog stank like pee bring in roaches cause tell me why a big ass roach was spotted in my room today. On the wall. Does that mean there is more where the heck do they come from

Are Syrian female hamsters allowed to eat cod?

Hello, I am a first time owner and I tried researching by searching online but no clear answers were given so I decided to ask here as the lat option. I wanted to give cooked or raw tiny piece of cod to her but wasn’t sure it was safe or not since I had it in my fridge

Tips for new YouTube vloggers

Hello, I’m 19F and I wanted to create a YouTube channel for the longest time and has been a lifelong dream since I was a kid.. but I never had the confidence. I recently got motivation from a friend who does vlogs and content on YouTube and TikTok and had mustered the courage to make a vlogging/ YouTube channel inspired by YouTube bloggers and content creators I admired and have been fans of for the longest time and have really studied them by having watched their content a lot these last couple of days to try to mimic their video style? I don’t know what to vlog and how to do it and gain the confidence too and how to edit it etc. I did but a phone light and phone selfie holder and small microphone for my phone that will be coming in tomorrow to start with.. but I’m not sure how to get my vlogs started after the equipment, how to be confident and natural on camera, vlog comfortably and home or outside/ anywhere and how to make the cont et fun and record naturally and edit the videos. How to engage with the audience. All sorts of anxiety is coming in. Any advice or tips and tricks and editing help and convince boots would be helpful ❤️ (also what are some good sounds/songs I can use that are YouTube copyright free or even lofi)

New YouTube Vlogger/ Creator tips

Hello, I’m 19F and I wanted to create a YouTube channel for the longest time and has been a lifelong dream since I was a kid.. but I never had the confidence. I recently got motivation from a friend who does vlogs and content such as gaming, challenges, etc on YouTube and TikTok and had mustered the courage to make a vlogging/ YouTube channel inspired by YouTube bloggers and content creators I admired and have been fans of for the longest time and have really studied them by having watched their content a lot these last couple of days to try to mimic their video style? I don’t know what to vlog and how to do it and gain the confidence too and how to edit it etc. I did but a phone light and phone selfie holder and small microphone for my phone that will be coming in tomorrow to start with.. but I’m not sure how to get my vlogs started after the equipment, (which I will be filming with my phone, I need suggestions for cameras affordable for a broke college student budget and how to use one and edit/ connect to my phone or laptop) how to be confident and natural on camera, vlog comfortably and home or outside/ anywhere and how to make the cont et fun and record naturally and edit the videos. How to engage with the audience. All sorts of anxiety is coming in. Any advice or tips and tricks and editing help and convince boots would be helpful ❤️ (also what are some good sounds/songs I can use that are YouTube copyright free or even lofi) What are good setups for gaming as someone who doesn’t game a lot and lowkey sucks at it too lmao.. I have a switch but idk how to connect it to CapCut or a video editing software

Is the trust broken forever?

Hello, I’m 19F, and I fought with my brother 16M, 3 weeks ago in the car while I was driving over a petty argument about eBay. I started talking to him about how I can’t keep covering my money and paying customers for the damage he caused when mislabeling the gaming parts he sells as working when it isn’t and he argued back that it does work and it’s all the customers fault for not knowing how to use it (the keyboard he sells.) I already messaged the customer weeks prior letting them know there are ways to fix it though reading instinct online and the customer replied they tried everything but the keys were glitching and didn’t work, so they returned it meaning the money needed to be returned to them. Here is the thing.. my brother spends every last cent of the money he got and I had to cover for it all despite not having much money on my own since I’m saving for other things.. so I had to use all of my money at the time to cover for it as my pay day was in a couple days. In the car I told him to be more responsible and why he acts without thinking when he sells and what I had to do to always clean up the mess he makes in life and how he’s almost 17 and I can’t keep doing this for him. He called me immature and said I was an adult acting like a kid and was mocking me. I was on my way picking up my brother from his driving lesson form school that point of time and I had parked the car in a neighboring neighborhood near the school since I knew it was wise not to drive since it did get physical and yelling got intense. He hit me on my shoulder which hurt and was kicking the back seat and trying the yank the steering wheel to drive the car and acted psycho. I ran out the car and treated to call the cops. I ran to the other side of the sidewalk and brought along my keys and locked the car door. I was pissed at this point. I was thinking of whether I should call the cops or not and decided not to and quickly hung up since I thought it was immature to do so. I decided to play the waiting game. It turns out my brother called the cops before me in the car and they shortly arrived. I was at this point I was already crying on the sidewalk not knowing what to do then the cops suddenly came and witnessed me crying. My brother in the car before they came threatened he took videos of the interaction between us where I splashed water on him and smacked him right after he hit me first. He always does this. He always films me in a fight right after he aggravates me or hits me first. I knew he was going to try to get me in trouble by showing this footage to the cops and lie his way to make it seem like I was the villain of the situation. So When the cops came over to me I told them that my brother had a habit of doing the filming right after he got me in a messed up mood, and we talked. They told me that they’ll let it go and siblings fight and how the officer has a sibling too and understands. The officer told me that I was the legal adult 19 and my brother was 16, and that I shouldn’t have hit him regardless. I tried to justify that he was stronger than me and how he works out daily while I don’t have any muscles to defend myself and would get knocked out in a 1v1 against him despite how embarrassing it was. The police officer told me that I was still the legal adult in the situation and how they’ll let it go this time and got us in our separate ways home. They told me to calm down before coming home since it was a really hot day that day, by taking a walk at the park or eating out somewhere before coming home. My brother was transported to the house by the cops car while I went to the local gas station and walked around the store and got an ice cream and some gas. My brother told my parents and I got the blame for most of it and they told use to stop doing eBay together since that’s where the problem lies in most of our recent fights and to not interact with each other the whole day. It is currently 3-4 weeks after the fight and we still aren’t talking. I tried to talk to him but he flat out ignores me or disrespects me. Even in the car when he was driving the family for practice for a hour straight he didn’t reply to me. He closes the door and we barely interact. I thought it was fine until yesterday night when I had a nightmare of our relationship being completely broken into adulthood. How we’d be the kind of siblings who’d break all contact in the future and live lives like we never had a sibling or consider as a family ever again. That woke me up and made me anxious since I knew a friend who has a stranger bond of not being close to their sibling for years but now is comfortable with going outside with them but not having that close connection. I fear that I’d never be able to joke with my sibling and enjoy the perks of having a “good” or normal/stable bond with my younger brother again. I regret the arguments I had with him and making fun of his crushes and secrets he told me despite him doing the same. He still secretly learns from me and copies things I do despite me thinking that he would never want me as a role model ever again. I know this since he copied the curtains in my room after I put a blanket over it and the next day he did the same thing. The question I have engrained in the back of my head it.. it too late to apologize or rebuild trust with him, as I think I was too harsh on him. How would I even apology when I believed we both were in the wrong and it seems like he won’t accept it anyways as all he does when he sees me is go upstairs as I do the same and slam things and throw things at me, which I now repress my anger of throwing things back at him since I understand I’m older and I shouldn’t give him the same treatment..?

I was unaware of how THIN my curtains were in my room. The whole neighborhood saw me nude from youth to young adulthood and I just now realized 7 years later.

I had a feeling my curtains were thin for a while but brushed it off. I lived in my room and went outside a bit during Covid lockdown (13-14) but never realized the curtain problem since I rarely checked outdoors. I had a suspicion when my neighbor asked whose room the room that faced the outdoors was. For content my room is smack in the middle of hr second floor where it faces the neighborhood where cars and others houses are. I rarely open my windows but when I do I pull the curtains down. One day a neighbor asked my dad whose room the 2nd floor was when I was in middle school (when I first discovered X rated content and got curious with my own body). He told them it was my room and the neighbor laughed. I had a bad feeling about it. (5 years ago). Moving on I forgot about the incident and changed in my room, explored my body in my room in my early teen hood to older teen hood, I did a lot of personal things that should not be seen by others. Turns out this was all being broadcasted live to my neighbors. When I went outside at night I saw my room with the lights on and saw everything that moved and the bright lights and all the objects though a bit blurry it was clear. I was left feeling so ashamed. Immediately taped a blanket over it and chilled outdoors again and made sure it wasn’t showing my room. This means all this time my neighbors saw me naked. Saw me masturbate. Saw me fight. Saw me do cringe. Everything. How do I deal with the embarrassment and know certainty that they didn’t see it cause the evidence is all there I was blind all along.

What defines a “femcel”

Hello, I’m new to this community page and been wondering how you’d define a “femcel”in your own words. I feel troubled because I feel one thing one day and a complete opposite the next day so I wanted to confirm if this was the right page for me? Thank you

New to resident evil

Hi, I recently got re4 on my switch and I’m so lost right now. Should I start with re 1 or 2 or something else? Is chronological timeline or release order recommended as a total newbie with no knowledge or no gameplay experience on the game? I never watched any full length gameplay video before but I did see clips online that got me curious about it. The whole franchise seems very pricey and I’m pretty broke.., so I’m not sure where to start and any tips can help!! Thanks

Pre Nursing track to psychology major (freshman-sophomore year).. Tips for psychology?

Hello Reddit, I (19, USA) was a previous pre nursing major at my college. Our nursing major program is highly competitive and only 5/50 students would be chosen to put into perspective. In order to get in there is a highly rigorous process set in place for each students own set time. I was honestly disinterested in the whole nursing program and career and could never have imagined my self to seriously pursue that career in the future. I took it only because my parents recommended and wanted me to do it, often pushing their own personal values and interests or beliefs about it. It felt like all noise to me but I unwilling agreed.. and the past year of pre nursing was miserable. New friends I met were all passionate about nursing asking what nursing track I was planning to be in or something like that, which I lied when in reality I could not care less about it and didn’t know any of the nursing terminologies nor fields as I was disinterested. I even failed anatomy class twice which should have been a sign already of not being interested in Ben studying about the human body related to the nursing. I have recently got a low gpa 1.0 and an academic probation meaning I can only take 2 classes as a part time student. My lack of energy and motivation was partly to blame and I should have honestly just stopped there or at least have tried in those nursing classes but I just physically couldn’t. The one class I did great in was intro psychology and my humanities classes. Those were the classes I could find myself taking notes in and actively reading and reveling while other classes felt like chores I put aside to never do on time. I recently changed my major to psychology in the school page but I am unsure how it will go. I technically am still a freshman due to the lack of credits from failing prior classes.. how can I start my college life all over again in psychology?

Similar recs to Ayaka Chan wa Hiroko Senpai ni Koishiteru?

I really love office romance yuri these days and I think I read a bunch of titles, but none of them really clicked like this manga did. If anyone has similar recommendations to this manga please comment them below! I’ll make sure to check them all out!! I like the office, comedy, age gap, and some drama mixed in this series, and I watched half of the kdrama when it came out :)
