Advice on choosing a questionnaire

I am currently conducting a small scale survey of 100-120 participants on disability.

I want to know a good questionnaire

  1. Which will measure the suicidal ideation among people with disability/ chronic illness.

  2. Isolation/ loneliness measuring study among people with disability/ chronic illness

Age range 15-29

The questionnaire should be a short one( not more than 20-25 questions) and simple

  1. Can be used / translated to another language if needed

  2. Can be used in Indian subcontinent.

Thank you.

Will anyone be able to guide me with it.

I am doubtful, is my caregiver abusing me?

I am a 28 year old female, I have hearing loss, Colonic Inertia, multiple mental health issues. I lost my father in 2021, as he took his own life. My mom constantly complains that everything is because of my past life karmic debt and screams it in my ears even though I have hearing loss. Last day, I had a hospital visit and she was screaming at the staff there too. I don't know, I understand that she might be burnt out because of multiple problems going on in life. I am trying to move out of my house as I can't tolerate it anymore. But she says don't tell anyone about my chronic illness and Disability. Be "Normal" . She doubts my ability to succeed, I have got a PhD admission and also got an opportunity to travel abroad for an international conference.

I am not at all feeling good about my future and current achievements. I have a negative self image and her words keep on repeating in my ears 24/7.

Sorry for my bad English.

I am fed up of living in this fake world.

I am fed up of living in this fake world. I am too naive for the mainstream world. Even my parents have abandoned and cheated on me.

Feeling alone, even among people with disabilities .

I am currently a part of a fellowship for people with Disabilities in my country. I am the only person having hearing loss there( bilateral sensorineural moderate -severe hearing loss). I still have to explain to them and have difficulty in communication even there. I thought it might be different in the beginning.

Fear of future is impacting me to the core.

I am a woman living in a conservative society. I lost my father and I currently stay with my mom. I have hearing loss, chronic health issues and mental health issues. I don't receive any support system from the government or from any other organisations. My mom has retired from the job and I got selected for a PhD program related to Disability. As a person coming from conservative community, everything is connected to my past life karmic baggage,so no support from extended family, or any religious organizations. They only want me to get married to someone they select . I am highly concerned about my safety and future. I was told they won't inform me about who I should get married to because I have hearing loss, and my opinion doesn't matter.

"Has Amrita School of Biotechnology become more liberal these days?"

I saw a student posting a video on Instagram about a program conducted at Amrita school of biotechnology last day. When I was studying there 10 years ago, we were almost living in a Jail-like set up. Has Amrita become more liberal these days?

What about mess food? Any improvement?

What about strict attendance policy?

What about students studying there with disability/ chronic illness or about students who got any accidents?

Are they given any relaxation in attendance or are made to repeat the semester again?

From an Alumni ,just asking out of curiosity.

Female with Disabilities and Chronic illnessess.

I just want to know a few things

I am a female in my late 20s with bilateral Sensorineural hearing loss, chronic intestinal condition ( might require a surgery/ stoma) , mental health issues and suspect being neurodivergent.

Belonging from a middle class family from rural area of South India.

Family history of suicide and mental illness.

I am currently doing a part time research work for people with Disabilities and also going to join for a PhD program.

As a part of research work, I interacted with multiple people and I was shocked to know that even people ( males) with disabilities are not open to marry someone with Disabilities.

But if a female with Disabilities refuses to marry someone with Disabilities she is judged.

For a male it's okay. He can do whatever he want.

Why do you think it is ?

BITS PhD interview

I had an interview today at Hyderabad campus for a PhD in Disability studies. I was sent to panel 2 by panel 1. I was told that there is a low possibility of getting accommodation at the campus. I stayed at the campus last night at Ganga Bhavan hostel and found that it was in bad condition mostly. Do all hostels there have this condition?. How is the food and accommodation for PhD scholars at BITS hyderabad campus.
