Young RV (N17) x K Man (E5) - Cruddy On The Streets | 16 years ago

Sariouss throwback icl. The instrumental to this song is legendary man i know other blocks in ldn used it but both RV and Kman went in still. This is the best version. Furthermore, this was the real hackney i knew before these gentrifiers & yuppies came thru. Ifykyk. Where’s Kman at these days tho? They need to link up and make a part 2 to this same way ps and lil sykes made that chicago song part 2.

Honestly, I dont mind spending around three to four figures as long as its just made of great quality, lasts long and and its not cheaply made. Do you guys know any good jewellers in london or any shops i could go to.

Is it genuinely worth going to university in the UK in 2026/2027?

So i just got my a level results (AAB) and I applied for Accounting & Finance at the University of Kent. I remember last year, as a yr13 seeing uni grads struggling to find employment and entry level jobs. Apparently, for every graduate job there was, maybe idk the exact numbers but 500 other grads were trying to apply for it. I feel like outsourcing, rise of automation and just the fact that degrees could be considered oversatured makes it not worth going. I have a feeling that experience, your network & who you know, skills and being able to actually do the job matters more than just a piece of paper. I do understand that you need to be qualified to do certain jobs though. I heard that someone who had a masters in engineering became a taxi driver and that killed any hopes of me even wanting to pursue a degree man honestly. People say that if everyone has something, it is not valuable. So essentially if literally everyone and their grandma has a degree, does that not make the value of it decrease? Unless its a stem degree or you want to become a doctor, dentist, lawyer or engineer, is it really worth it in this day and age? Sorry for the long text but wanted to get this off my chest. For those of you who got the grades u wanted and gotten into ur firm unis or unis u wanted congrats btw this isnt to discourage anyone.

update: I could not get my hands on solar glasses so unfortunately i missed out. But dont get fomo, this isn’t particularly a once in a lifetime event as I’m to Egypt to 2027 to see a total eclipse! But in the Uk its confirmed there wont be another one until 2090. So ig they werent lying 😭🤣

Looking to buy my first E46. Which car do i go for? 325Ci vs 330Ci?

looking to get an e46 by next summer. I’ve been wanting to buy one since i was a kid tbh. It looks like a great motor. Out of all the models, i feel like the 330 and 325 seem pretty good. Good power, not too expensive to insure. Not sure which to pick. I would go all the way and maybe get the M3 but Apparently, the M3 is overkill for a daily and it doesnt live up to its hype. However, I Would love that car as well its legendary. The thing is buying a used E46 in 2026 can be a absolutely great or absolutely terrible ngl. Are they reliable? What are some things to look out for? Whats any known issues or problems? I do have some knowledge on this, for example, Rear subframe chassis mount and the Cooling system. But, is there anything else? E46 Owners, I would Appreciate your insight.

For you man that grew up in 2000s/2010s, how actually dangerous was LDN back then ?

Not tryna glorify but this is out of curiosity. I was born in 06 so i didnt grow up in this era. But you man how dangerous was it actually. Im tryna hear peoples real life experiences. sly interested. it was the proper trenches back them times. Beef was fryingg & heard there was literally no go areas like Brikky and Narm yk.

Whats the real reason why is it genuinely hard to find employment in LDN/UK in general?

Lets have a serious discussion people. Apparently, theres 1.7 Million ppl unemployed in the entire UK. And the unemployment rate is 4.9. For young people, 16-24, the rate is 14.3%. It has stayed above 14% consistently from October 2025. Thats actually dark. Out of those 1.7M, 500K are young people. The NEET rate, (so people not in education, employment, training) is 13.5% or 1.01 million people. First time its wver topped a million. People nowadays are extremely more economically inactive then ever before.

Whats the genuine reason for this? Is it a combination of factors or just one single factor? How comes a big, alpha++ city like London thats supposed to have a lot of opportunities has an unemployment rate this high.

Apparently, Asians hiring only other Asians makes it unable for people to find work. Is this true or nah?

Disclaimer: Not tryna cause a divide in this thread. U lot let’s have a serious conversation tho. Apparently, shops with Asian managers only want to hire other Asian people and won’t employ other races. So essentially, you’re just gonna have more unemployed non-Asians, especially in an Asian dominated area. I’ve heard this happen a few times. One bredda i know said when an Indian manager came to his Asdas, he sacked majority of the workers and he only hired other Indians. I get there’s like nepotism like you wanna put your family members on/friends but cl ain’t it weird to exclusively hire just asian. I’m not entirely against it. Me personally: race ain’t a factor. Ik the market is HELL rn. If u got a job rn, be grateful and hold onto it for a few years until it gets better.

whats you lots thoughts on gentrification?

i know there are some run down areas or places ppl might call the hood, i kinda like the gritty vibe of certain areas. i remember hackney in the 2010s man it had lots of carribean, african, indian shops as well but i see less of those these days. it just aint how it use to be anymore. respectfully, gentrifiers have sorta killed the vibe man and i dont recognise the neighbourhood i use to live in. im kinda 50/50 on it cuz on one hand reducing crime and poverty is a positive to all of us but erasure of culture and black and ethnic minorities living in the area is something i dont like ill he real. ik it aint a race thing its more of a class thing but when wealthy people or companies move into the area, buy up property, renovate and take over, it drives up the rent in the area by isnane amounts. this doesnt just happen in east ldn, it happened it south as well. Brixton, Narm, Tottenham, Lewi. But hackney is the epitome of gentrified 🤣. I dislike it but like it at the same time. The thing is, working class ppl in general (id say im working class) just cant keep it up wid it. you know its wraps when a Gail’s opens up near you😭🤣. their food looks decent but im not spending £20 on a crossaint.

cl whats you lots thoughts on gentrification

grew up in east for id say most my life and ibr hackney is the epitome of gentrification. hackney in 2010s was peak man. i aint been there in a min and when i visited the way it changed🤣. darkk. no shade to these transplants. some gentrifier put me onto arc’teryx a few months ago, ym know that windbreaker its acc cold. but respectfully, i dont fw them. mfs driving up the rent prices and costs of everythin. this aint just in east its happened in Lewi, Narm, Brixton, norwood. kensal green. You know when they open up a gails near you its a fucking wrap🤣😭. some ppl say it reduced crime and poverty. fixes run down areas like the hood ygm. that obv a good thing to an extent. but furthermore, the thing is, they pricing out ethnic communities as well and we r the ones who made the area what it is. we made it trendy thats y these mfs even took interest in moving. i aint gonna say its a race thing more of a class thing but man for us working class its peak. we gonna grt pushed out to the countryside soon. aint hating on them im just pointing out what ive seen. my area has become unrecognisable. Shoutout Gails, they decent but i ain’t paying a ten sheet for one crossant. Its dark man. but yh luv for reading. thats just my two cents on it.

15 pro, 16 pro or 17 pro?

I’m coming from a 13. Looking for the best phone out of these 3 that’s gonna last me until 2028. I prefer the design of the previous models and the aluminium\*\*. But it’s hard to choose between these 3 models. On one hand, I like the Deep Blue colour on the 17 but not the titanium nerfed body of it. So i’d prefer a 15 or 16. But is the 15 not outdated? I prefer the grey natural titanium on both. I’d appreciate if you guys could give me your experience if you own any of these models. Ps: The Pro Max models are too big imo, i think the pros are just the right size.
