Does Rayban accept lens replacement?

HELLO,

Does anyone know if RayBan do lens replacement? My wife gave me a mirrored lens (reflectorized), but i prefer sana yung mirrorless lens (darkgreen or black, or brown).

I havent tried asking sa mga botique, but if not, are there any shops that can replace this with the same lens?

Thanks!

LF : Laptop Charger (MSI)

Halu techy friends, im looking for a charger that i can buy online for my laptop (MSI Cyborg 15 A13V). I have not secured my charger inside my bag tapos nagka slit siya. Over time it got worse, i once got a little shock just by holding it.

Currently nakaelectrical tape siya tapos may angle lang siya na gusto. I know this is dangerous.

Unfortunately wala.kami time magvisit sa mall and not also sure if nagbebenta sila ng chargers alone sa mall.

And ok lang ba gumamit ng generic chargers having the same Voltage and Amps? 🥲

Help 🥲

People with Varicocele - What are your habits that most likely lead you to having one?

Hello everyone, 34 yo from Philippines

Healing patient here. Did my operation 5 days ago.

I'm just wondering if varicocele patients have a common habit that lead us to having this so we can save another brother from the pain.

I researched and asked my doctors but nothing is fully formed. First i thought it was about lifting heavies and going to the gym, or because of my love for cycling during pandemic, or even genetics.

But my doctor said it was not the workout, and genetics 'may' contribute to it.

So i'm curious. I'll start with mine.

- Started gym when i was 16, inconsistent but would prefer working out given the opportunity

- started long distance cycling from 2020 to 2022

- pingpong player in 2005 to 2008, returned in 2023 until today

- works at my laptop (and sitting) for 3 hours for around 3 to 5x a week

I know i'm already healing but i just wanna know why i had it in the first place.

Cheers!

Bilateral Varicocelectomy Done

34 y/o from the Philippines here.

Today, I finally did something I’ve been afraid of for years — I underwent bilateral varicocelectomy surgery.

Back in 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 varicocele. At the time, my doctor said surgery wasn’t necessary since I wasn’t in pain and my sperm results were still “good enough” for pregnancy. Back then, it was only noticeable on my left side.

Fast forward to last week, my new urologist told me I actually had varicocele on both sides, even though I could only physically feel the “bag of worms” on the left.

Then came 2026.

About 3 weeks ago, I started feeling pain whenever I sat for too long. The discomfort would start from my crotch and radiate up to my scrotum. That became my wake-up call.

Also, in 2024, my wife and I went through an unexplained failed pregnancy. We never found out whether it was because of sperm quality, egg quality, or something else.

That combination of events pushed me to finally do the surgery today.

Here’s how the experience went for me:

I was given spinal anesthesia, and honestly, I suddenly fell asleep after that. Surgery started around 6:00 AM and ended around 9:30 AM.

I woke up around 11:30 AM in pretty intense pain — around 8/10. It felt like I had been stabbed in the lower abdomen. I guess the anesthesia had already worn off by then.

They inserted a catheter while I was asleep. Thankfully I didn’t experience that part awake, but yeah… not exactly a pleasant thought.

They gave me painkillers through IV twice, and the pain gradually dropped to around 5/10.

After sleeping for a while, the pain became much more manageable — around 3/10.

At one point, I accidentally coughed and the pain suddenly shot back up to 8/10. It lingered for maybe 30 minutes before calming down again. They gave me more pain medication after that.

Right now, I’m trying my best not to move too much, laugh hard, or cough.

Strangely, my left side barely hurts now. The right side is more noticeable. As of 10:30 PM tonight, the pain is around 1/10 — more of an uncomfortable awareness than actual pain.

I’ll probably be discharged tomorrow, and I’m hoping recovery continues smoothly from here.

Honestly, I’m really proud of myself for going through this.

I have very low pain tolerance and I’ve always been terrified of surgery. Before the operation, I spent so much time reading Reddit experiences. Most people described the pain as “manageable,” but for me it was definitely rough during the first few hours.

I’m not sharing this to scare anyone away from surgery. Everyone’s body reacts differently. If you’re scared like I was, just know that you can still do it.

Hoping for a smooth recovery, better health, and hopefully someday, a family of our own.

Cheers everyone, and thanks to all the people here who shared their experiences before me.

AMA: Upcoming Surgery Patient in UERMMC - Trying to Understand Consultant vs Employee Doctors

Problem/Goal:

I am scheduled for surgery this Thursday at UERMMC, and I am trying to understand whether choosing a hospital-employed/service doctor instead of a consultant doctor could significantly reduce the total cost. I also want clarity on whether I should proceed with the consultant doctor I initially consulted with.

Context:

Sorry if this sounds like a basic question — I’m very new to all of this. I’m a faculty member from one of the UE schools (non-medical field), and this will be my first hospitalization experience under UERMMC.

My doctor is a consultant whom I found through the UERMMC website and hotline. I already went through consultations, and surgery scheduling.

However, while processing my benefits, an assistant mentioned that the procedure might be cheaper if I were under a doctor who is directly employed by UERMMC, compared to a consultant doctor. Honestly, I’m not very familiar with how this system works.

To be transparent, I’m currently trying to manage the expenses as best as I can, and any possible reduction in cost would really help a lot.

I am still willing to proceed with my current consultant doctor if:

  • there are no available employed/service doctors, or
  • there is no significant difference in the overall cost.

I’m simply exploring possible alternatives before my surgery date.

Has anyone here experienced something similar in UERMMC? Is there really a noticeable difference in cost between consultant doctors and hospital-employed/service doctors?

Previous Attempts:

  • Asked the billing/benefits office during processing
  • Sent an email inquiry to UERMMC for clarification
  • Tried searching online, but I could not find a clear explanation regarding consultant vs employed/service doctors in UERMMC

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Spacious Corner Unit Condo for Sale - Tomas Morato

Hello random neighbors,

Selling our corner unit condo in tomas morato. I swear spacious yung unit, 36 sqm, no partition walls, fully furnished. AirBnB earning since 2024, includes

re-bookers and direct bookers. We can show you our airBnB income if interested

We will not sell this if we don't have other plans 🥲

Selling for 4.5M

Okay po kami sa different mode of payments, even rent to own, basta 5 years lang po yung deal ☺️ walang interest po or any extra charges. 1.5M still remains in the loan amount (chinabank), kasama na po yan sa 4.5M.

Also, the title is still not processed (but hear me out first), pero as per aftersales department, better ito ibenta na ganito pa yung status - kasi within the developer lang yung transfer as long as mabayaran in full yung loan amount. Kapag lumabas na yung title, mas mahal daw ang transfer fees kasi dadaan pa sa different agencies, sa bank, and sa developer.

Estimate nya kapag within the developer, nasa 250 to 300k transfer amount daw. Kapag dun naman sa isa, nasa 600k approx daw babayaran. And it does make sense to me 🙂‍↕️

Varicocelectomy next week - what to prepare

Hello, im 34 yo from the Philippines.

I’m scheduled for a bilateral varicocelectomy next week. I’m actually scared because I’m afraid of any type of surgery. But I want to do this for myself and my wife since we fall under the unexplained infertility/non-pregnancy category.

I was also surprised that both the left and right testicles will be operated on. I really thought it would only be the left side.

What should I expect? I’ve read that this is usually an outpatient procedure, and that after around 2 weeks you can return to regular daily routines. I’m also an active ping pong player 🥲

Is it painful? Are there side effects? Are there cases where the results didn’t turn out well? Huhu, I really need to hear your experiences, guys!

Should i be worried about Varicolectomy procedure?

Hello,

Nagulat din ako na both left and right testicles ang ooperahin, i really thought left side lang.

Masakit ba? May side effects ba? May mga cases ba na di naging maganda ang resulta? Huhu need your experiences guys!

Hi,

Been looking for a shoes to play with (wife said i have been a good husband so i deserve one). Im from the Philippines btw.

I first got a lezoline Rifones, it was my dream shoe but its whiteness turns yellowish for just a year of playing. my casual shoe size is 8.5 US, so for playing shoes i go for US 9.

But my wife bought me size 9.5 and Its a bit too big for my feet. What ive noticed is that my shoe rips on the location near my pinky toe on both feet.

Then, I also got Asics court slide 4 (size 8.5), so basically its too tight for my game. Same issue, it ripped near my pinky toe region.

Im curious whether its the shoe size that's causing the problem, or the shoe brand itself, or maybe i got a bad footwork?

Im planning to on a size 9 since i havent tried that one yet.

Lastly, im leaning into buying asics again but also torn with Lezoline Levalis.

I also wanna try Mizuno but i have zero knowledge.

Sorry too many questions. Hope you could help me out cos i got a go signal for a new shoes

Thanks and happy spinning!

Hi! Selling our Condo in Tomas Morato, QC. Corner unit, L-shaped, 180 degrees view of the metro (Antipolo mountain ranges to Manila Bay.

Condo name: Victoria de Morato, yes, the infamous one. Not gonna sugarcoat that.

What's a real deal is that the location is strategic if you work in QC, especially ABS CBN / GMA

Booming restaurants left and right, and somewhat peaceful neighborhood.

But to be honest, I have spent good amount of effort to make the inside unit good. We have a good rating on airbnb (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1111511779055067442?viralityEntryPoint=1&s=76)

; we also have repeat bookers, and the unit was rented for a year (2023-2024). Walkable sidewalks, bars, cafes, restos, church, transportation access near the area. I would really stayed here but my work is in Caloocan, not strategic for me.

Yes, elevator and admin could be a pain in the ass. If 3-4 elevators are working well, it really feels like home. If you pay your dues on time, admin won't be a pain in the ass. These 2 are the 2 major downside of this property. Since my unit was renovated, I only used the pool once, so I have no comment on that.

It was almost a good investment because of the location, that's all.

Room is spacious, fully furnished, and no partitions.

Full details below:

Victoria De Morato, Tomas Morato, QC

*29th floor, L Shaped, corner lot unit, sunrise to sunset view

* Earning under Airbnb and direct bookings
*No issues / damages, no water leaks
*Fully furnished.
*Possible Monthly Rental is 25-30k
*Possible Airbnb rate is 1.7k (weekday) and 2.5k (weekend) - Non peak months

2.5k - 3.5k per day on peak months daily.

Inclusions:
