In 1982, Larry Walters tied 42 weather balloons to a lawn chair and soared 16,000 feet into the air after his tether snapped. He drifted into the approach path of LAX, prompting stunned airline pilots to report a “guy in a lawn chair” floating through federal airspace.

On July 2, 1982, Larry Walters took flight in a contraption he made out of a lawnchair and 42 weather balloons. Though he'd planned to go only a short distance, the tether holding him to the ground snapped and he ultimately soared to 16,000 feet before finally descending safely back to Earth.

In 1935, execs feared backlash over Shirley Temple and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson holding hands in 'The Little Colonel.' Yet, as they held hands to sync steps, they broke racial barriers to become Hollywood's first interracial dance duo, an iconic moment sparked when 6 year old Temple reached out.

$MSTR -- What does the community think? Bear flag forming?

$MSTR the levered $BTC proxy. BTC still remains weak. Volume seems to fit for a flag, we're waiting to see if there is a second touch point of the potential lower boundary. If it breaks down, it drops price below $30 - could certainly become a capitulation type candle.

So far the upper boundary of the potential flag is below the 50 fib retrace of the pole.

Does my Meyer Lemon shrub have a problem?

I've harvested fruit from it last year, so I know it was a good producer. Suddenly it has sent up several new shoots.

The current lemons have stalled.

When it bloomed in spring there were hundreds of flowers that started but only two survived.

Are there any immediate problems anyone can see or is the shrub just focusing all its energy on new growth?

Why Captain Jones was written off the show

Did you know the real reason Timothy Brown's character Dr. Oliver "spearchucker" Jones was written off the show due to a big research goof by Gene Reynolds and his team? Reynolds wrongly researched there were no black surgeons in the Korean conflict. In fact, Dr. Alvin Blount was a prominent surgeon during the war.

It's rather a shame because Captain Jones likely would have brought more to the show as the first three seasons were too Hawkeye focused.

Did they feel survivors guilt for Henry

In S1, E9 Henry Please Come Home we see Jones, Pierce and McIntyre pull out all the stops to convince Henry to come back from Tokyo. Likely, if Henry had stayed in Tokyo giving his lectures and living his cushy assignment, he would have survived the war.

In a later season, S4, E4 Piece says "Henry got killed and they still keep coming."

That's perhaps the closest we ever saw to any guilt. But when the show shifted towards more melodrama, especially after s5, I wonder if they should have ever explored any guilt.

What size filter is really needed here?

I'm at a friend's house and... Let's say there are A LOT of problems. I can't in good conscience stay here without fixing things. The air return vents are filthy so I went to check the furnace and filter.

That's what I found. Can anyone tell me what size filter is really required for this?

Thanks in advance!

They're eating away.

Tried a garbage can compost for the first time. Been slow going but it's at full speed now. They're eating away and fresh browns and greens get demolished quickly now.

Nothing quite as satisfying as the "drop." When a fresh collection of materials just compresses.

I need to add some of the yard soil soon to mix in.
