I currently only have 1 HK handgun, a HK45 and I enjoy it quite a bit. I was browsing only gun stores recently and by chance stumbled upon a listing for a VP9A1F. It ships with 5 mags. With transfer fee I would be looking at around $1k flat. Is the gun worth it? I have about a dozen 9mm handguns, but no hk 9mm handgun

As of late its losing its appeal to me. I dont use the service as a seedbox nor do I share my account so the amount of allowed active slots means little to me. I dont use usenet very often & access to it can be had for $36 a year elsewhere if I do need access. The 1tb airlock feature was nice but since the updated tos its lost its value too because the files can indeed be deleted without your consent.

I usually would use the service to just download torrents but tbh the download speeds have dropped quite a bit. Ive changed cdns a few times but it still hovers around 500mbps max.

All that leaves is streaming through stremio. I do that usually just on weekend evenings, and it buffers quite often lately.

I think its just time to downgrade to the $3 plan and roll with it. I dont want to abandon the service, been with them since they opened for business. But I dont see any point in the higher tier plan anymore, at least not for me.

Anyone use this company? I just got a box on their lowest tier to try them out and so far so good. Their ui is extremely basic but seems to load everything really fast. I hit 450MB/s in qbit so their hd & download speeds seem to be good to.

Any negatives that I just havent encountered yet?

As title states, a few weeks ago I sent in my recently purchased 686 no dash for inspection and to fix the excessive cylinder gap.

Today I got an email with a quote and a explanation. Apparently, they are going to have to replace the barrel to fix the endshake. The price quoted is another $389 on top of the $80 they want for a ‘pc tune up’.

I wasnt expecting it to require a new barrel to fix the end shake. It just doesnt seem normal or is this something I am mistaken about?

Im hesitant to let them replace the barrel because as far as I know, nothing is wrong with the original. It shot good and is accurate.

Kind of at a loss as to what to tell them. I want the end shake fixed, but not for $400 and a un needed new barrel.

I purchased a new 12TB seagate expansion external drive a few months ago. Ive only plugged it in a handful of times, never dropped it, its sit on my desk in the same spot since I took it out of the box. It works fine, but it makes a soft low clicking noise for a second or two when I first plug it in.

Crystaldisk says drive health is good with no bad sectors. Ive done several large transfers from my pc totaling 2.3TB without issue.

Is the drive already going bad/click of death? Or is it just a noisy drive? I believe the drove inside to be exos.

Yesterday I posted about a 686 no dash that I recently purchased that has excessive end shake and some rotational play. It doesn’t shave lead and functions fine, its just to loose.

I tried shims to no avail. When I posted about it in this sub someone mentioned maybe I should send it in to S&W.

I called in this morning, the lady I spoke with said I could ship it in by either fedex or through an authorized dealer. She said either would be free shipping because its warranty.

I explained to her that it wouldnt be warranty because I am not the original owner & the gun is around 45 years old. She said none of that mattered.

The problem is, the nearest corporate owned fedex ship center is 75 miles away in a city I dont go to. The other problem is there are no ffls anywhere near me who would be willing to contact smith for a prepaid label to ship it for me because I didnt buy it from them or they just dont deal with that. In the past, I have offered to pay to have a S&W shipped through my local ffl, they declined.

So basically, I am stuck between a rock & a hard place.

I recently purchased a 686 no dash. It is in good condition all except a bit of end shake and rotational play.

It had about .012 of endshake. I put in a .006 shim. This caused the cinder to bind while cocking. I took it back apart and replaced that shim with a .004. This fixed the binding issue but it still had rotational play and a little end shake with hammer down and trigger pressed.

So I took it apart again and put in a .003 yoke shim. This took out all end shake and removed all but a tiny amount of rotational play. Great, but now the cylinder does not want to roll out.

SonIntake it apart one more time and replaced the yoke shim with a .002. Now it all works like normal but the gap is .008 and a fair amount of rotational play came back.

Im thinking it needs a new cylinder stop? Or am I just expecting more than what I should?

A long story short:

Currently 43yr old Male.

After 15 years of off and on again heavy drinking and smoking I got covid in 2020. After fighting it off for a month I got better. Another month later I started having bouts of being dizzy, sweaty/clammy, fast heart rate, feeling impending doom especially in moving cars and other strange symptoms. It culminated with me falling out one day and taking a ride on an ambulance straight to the icu.

They diagnosed me with paroxysmal afib, mild lvh, mild enlarged atria, high blood pressure, and nutrient deficiency. They checked my ef which was 55. Once getting stable, they released me with a script of diltiszem, thiamine and folic acid and told me to take a low dose aspirin aday and to go to a cardiologist.

Now 6 years later I only take the diltiazem and aspirin, my nutrient deficiency went away. Earlier this year I started having symptoms including slow heart rate especially at rest (have had it drop down close to 43bpm), sporadic chest pain, pain in arm on occasion, random shortness of breath that goes away quickly, the clammy feelings and a bit of dizzy spell. My family doctor had me wear a zio for 2 weeks.

My family doctor hasnt called me or anything but the patient portal has updated the “my health” section with two new diagnoses; ventricular tachycardia & first degree av block.

I am assuming they got the results back from the zio and havent fully processed everything yet, thus the lack of communication.

Im curious, what are some of the first line treatments for this combo?

I must add, I have lost 80+ pounds inside of a year after being told my a1c was to high at last years annual checkup and my last echo back in 2024 came back with a slightly reduced ejection fraction of 50% but they didnt seem worried about that. During my weight loss and up until about a month ago I was doing exercise 5 days a week including walking/jogging 5 miles a day, pushups, a bit of weight lifting, etc.. I stopped due to the symptoms that I outlined above.

Contemplating a new carry option to replace my current pocket carry, a taurus 605 2”.

This time around I want a 4” barrel regardless of the manufacturer.

Ive narrow my options down to 3 distinct, different choices which are:

S&W 27 classic 4”

Ruger SP101 4”

Kimber K6S 4”

All 3 talk to me when I look at pictures. Kind of hard to make a decision. I know its a crap shoot as far as qc goes with any one of them. Any opinions or thoughts?

I know most people just use TB to stream but some of us use it to download files/content. Im just curious what kind of download speeds other people are seeing…

I have 2gbps connection and average around 175MB/s but have seen it top out at 200+MB/s
