Anyone know what this could be on my cats back?

Janet is 16 so she’s an old girl. She’s an indoor cat but frequently sunbathes. She’s had this on her back for a few weeks now.

Help me decide what reptile to get!

Hi everyone. So I was meant to get a baby crested gecko but there was a miscommunication with the seller and she accidentally sold the gecko I was meant to get to someone else. So I’ve decided to think of getting something else.
I’ve got a 30x30x60cm tank which is suited towards a reptile that enjoys climbing and hiding as there’s lots of hides, vines and artificial plants.
My ideal pet would be something decent for handling and that definitely does not smell. And maybe something a little less long lived though this isn’t a deal breaker
Any suggestions?

Any idea what teddy this is?

The photo isn’t great but it’s the bear on the left, the lighter coloured one. The arms/arm is like a continuous loop to make it look like it’s hugging. The teddy would’ve been with my uncle in the 80s I think. I’d like to try and find it to give to my gran for her birthday since the teddy is currently with my aunt who is no longer with us. Any ideas what the teddy is and where I could possible get it would be greatly appreciated. We are from the UK (Scotland)

Shedding questions

Hi everyone, my corn snake is currently blue and dull (about to shed) but he won’t go in his humid hide at all. Any tips? How long do you have to leave them while they’re shedding? Should I still feed him?

Boyfriend made me this snack board

Garlic stuffed olives, mini cucumber, ice lolly, white chocolate buttons and kimchi.

He really got the whole girl dinner snack down!

Anyone else’s snake do this?

I’ve got a pretty young corn snake called Linguine. Usually he stays in his cave, coming out for food or to go to his coconut hide. However, I’ve started taking him out to let him slither around my bed. When exploring he’s calm and relaxed, tongue flickering and just slithering up and down my bed (occasionally trying to go up my pant legs or sleeves if he’s feeling mischievous!). But now, once he’s explored and been put back into his tank, he acts as though he wants out going to the corners or trying to find any way out. Why is this? Is it because he’s had a taste of freedom?

Advice needed!! Baby found

Hi everyone looking for some advice on what to do with this fledgling. I’m 99% sure it’s a European Starling since there’s a lot where he was found around that area. There was lots of children around him poking and prodding so he must be very stressed. He is shaking however I have put him in a small terrarium with a heat pad and cloth to try and keep him warm. Are there any rehabbers I could take him too? Or am I best trying to nurse him back to health myself? If so what do I do? Thanks in advance

Edit - Thanks everyone for the help, I’ve found a wildlife rehabilitation centre that takes in chicks. Thanks again for the help

Some questions before getting a crested gecko

Hi everyone, I’ve been asking my mum to let me get a crested gecko for weeks now and she’s got some reservations.

First, do they smell? Does the tank smell? Would it make my room smell? She says she’s seen that they can significantly smell but just wanted to double check this.

Second, would the humidity in the tank affect the humidity in my room? Would a humid tank make my room more humid? Does it work like that?

Three, are the tanks massive eyesores?

And lastly, are these good pets for someone who is 19 (i’m 20 this year) with an already good background knowledge on them (I have been doing research for weeks and weeks and have gathered all the information needed to keep them)

Thanks for anyone’s help! It would be much appreciated, especially in trying to sway the opinion of an angry mum lol!

Please has anyone smelled this

So I don’t know if this one had something wrong with it, but oh my gosh. When I tell you when I put my nose to this I physically recoiled. It was actually painful to smell. It smelled almost poopy? And that’s no exaggeration it smelled like a toilet. I need to know if this is a mistake or if it genuinely smells like this. Because that was borderline offensive.

A few questions

Hi everyone. So I’m trying to convince my mum to let me get a crested gecko (I’m 19). And she has a few reservations. Firstly; mould. Is there ways to prevent mould? My mums worried about if there is mould it would affect my health etc. Another is smell. Are the tanks super stinky? How do you prevent strong oder? What do they usually smell like?

Thing coming out of Blue Death Feigning beetles butt

Any one know what this is coming out of her butt? It’s like brown and almost wet looking? From certain angles it looked as though it was pulsating like going in and out of her bum. Is she going to be okay? I’m super worried! Her behaviour doesn’t seem to be off at all, climbing her cave and walking around just fine

for people still living with their parents - how did you convince them to let you get a crested gecko?

Since a child i’ve always been obsessed with reptiles. I would always ask my mum to let me get one and she’d always say no. I’m 19 now and have two blue death feigning beetles. I asked my mum if she’d be comfortable with me getting a crested gecko, it was a “maybe” at first and quickly turned into a “no”. Any tips on convincing her 😅 I’ve tried to sweeten her up with some gifts but she doesn’t see to be budging (wel maybe a little but not much!)

Insect help

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice. I’m planning on getting a crested gecko in August (if my savings go right lol!). What bugs do you guys feed your geckos and how often? Any suggestions that are quiet and slow breeders 🫣 Thanks!

Where do you guys find good branches/things to climb on?

Hey everyone, just looking for some advice! Where does everyone buy their branches from? I’d like one that’s big from bottom to top for climbing. Ones that aren’t going to mould.
