these were the files you would come across of the english dub of these series back in the day instead of dvd rips theyd be ripped off the tv airing in 240p-480p res & distributed on file sharing programs like kazaa and limewire & fan sites

quality ranged from good to horrible depending on the file

sadly I lost them awhile back from hdd crashes and have had no luck finding them ive looked literally everywhere for them old file sharing programs that still work ftp directories etc, i did get close via some fan sites which had download links for the episodes but they were not archived unfortunately

Before anyone asks reason i want them is this is how i saw the series the whole way through i saw them first on toonami when they stopped playing it there i downloaded them off limewire & winmx & burned them to cds so i have a ton of nostalgia for these older copies

I am also aware of some taken from a VHS tape done this decade on archive.org those are not the same i am looking for the original files shared on file sharing programs fansites websites or youtube in the 2000s they have a much more different look to them

If you ever used kazaa dc++ or limewire back in the day and searched for buffy chances are you came across these, the 400-800mb mpgs or 150-300mb avis

they were taken from the TV airings instead of a DVD or Blu Ray disc

quality ranged from good to horrible depending on the file, usually the large mpgs looked the best

i still have a few episodes like this but sadly lost a lot from system crashes over the years luckily managed to save season 7 complete and a few scattered episodes of S2 S6 & S4 but thats it

so back in the early 2000s scene groups on the internet would capture airings of shows from the tv channel or rip them off a TIVO dvr box and put them online as .mpg files in the vcd or svcd file format dragon ball z was one of them the quality on the svcds looked great very high bitrate 480i

they would find their way onto p2p file sharing services, some of you who see this will remember this era others will not

i still have some of these files from this era of shows like smallville enterprise and alias

unfortunately i lost all of my svcds of dragon ball z from disc rot and hdd crashes had all of s9 and latter half of s8 been trying to find them again for years but its proven to be a impossible task since the only old rips of dbz you can find now are the ones of the orange bricks, or 240p real media rips of the dvd singles,

so i was hoping maybe someone in this subreddit had these files whether that be digital or on a authored svcd disc and would be willing to share them with me, these are cool since they are ripped off the toonami airing in near DVR/DVD level quality

for anyone wondering the pictures i took are of episodes 217-219 which i have as small avi rips essentially the svcd mpgs look like that with the cartoon network logo but in crystal clear almost DVD level quality

here is a website which shows what the file names looked like when they were released by the SCENE i am not sure how many episodes they did but i had 221-276 from them though this website didnt capture many of those

These were the files youd get back in the day when you tried to download slayers episodes, they were either taken from a fansubbed vhs tape, the english dub vhs or the international channel airing,

quality ranged from great to not so good depending on the copy,

anyways i lost these a few years back from disc rot and hdd crashes have tried looking everywhere for them but to no luck unfortunately, i have a AMV which uses clips of this also 4 minutes of an episode which is where the screenshots originate from

back in the 2000s before youtube (and even for many many years after) promo trailers and tv spots of new smallville episodes were posted on fan sites, forums, and file sharing programs usually in the avi mpg or wmv file format,

heres some screenshots of what they look like, been looking for these for years all the old fan sites have been wiped out, kryptonsite never hosted these, and of course almost no one uses file sharing software any more

These are the files that were on old file sharing programs most commonly Napster Usenet limewire and edonkey quality wasn’t amazing on them but the ones I had still looked good they were vcd svcd .mpg and .avi divx so ready to be burnt to cd r and played on dvd player,

Unfortunately I lost these from disc rot I’ve tried searching literally EVERYWHERE old forums old torrent sites dc++ etc no luck whatsoever so I figured maybe someone here has these files and is able to share them, these were also shared on you tube in the very early days of that site so mid 2000s chances are if you downloaded stargate from there around this time it was this version
