What’s everyone’s take on Nightcrawler (2014)?
Just finished my first watch and I had mixed feelings about the style, but it literally just hit me as I was typing this:
It’s an homage to Hitchcock.
A lot of it felt a little too on the nose, but now that I sit back and think about the pacing, the cinematography (especially the restaurant build-up), the cliffhanger ending.. it makes sense now and I feel a little better about it. Good movie, not great.

What do you still have from your childhood?
This is a bear I named Peewee when I was a kid. He’s on my desk holding a little drawing done by my son.
