I popped my first oral cold sore thinking it was a pimple. Will it spread to other body parts?
I believe I got my first cold sore a few days ago. It's on my face under my lip. It started as a red bump, and I thought it was a pimple so I tried to pop it, but no pus came out. Just clear liquid and some blood. I didn't wash my hands (gross i know), and touched a lot of body parts like my eyes and nose.
Later it started to become hard and form white blisters. I'm pretty confident that's it's a cold sore from everything I've read. My question is that, since the threat of autoinoculation is most common with your first outbreak, will i spread this around my body? What are the chances?
