[Siegel] As the Clippers continue to discuss Kawhi Leonard's future, Celtics' Jaylen Brown has emerged as a key trade target for LA.

-While the Clippers are open to all calls coming their way from rival teams interested in Leonard, the team has rebuffed offers to this point, as reported by ClutchPoints on Sunday evening. To this point, the Clippers have been underwhelmed by the value presented in such a scenario with Toronto, with sources describing Toronto’s offer as “one-sided.”

-The Clippers are said to hold Collin Murray-Boyles in high regard, but sources have indicated that the Raptors have no desire to trade the young forward.

-Keeping Kawhi has been expressed by President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank as the Clippers’ top priority. This has been known since their season ended in the play-in tournament, but LA wants to do so on their terms financially. From Leonard’s perspective, his camp is pushing for a full two-year max extension, which is valued slightly higher than $120 million.

-The Raptors appear willing to offer the extension Leonard is seeking in a potential reunion, which is why Kawhi’s camp is putting pressure on the Clippers to either pay him or trade him this offseason.

-If the Clippers were to move on from Leonard and not pay him the extension he’s looking for, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown would be LA’s top target to replace the two-time NBA Finals MVP, league sources told ClutchPoints.

-Whether or not there could be a potential path to a Leonard-Brown swap between Boston and LA is unknown, but the Clippers’ top priority in a potential trade involving Kawhi would be to find a way to land Brown from the Celtics.

-The Clippers have had a level of interest in Jaylen Brown, who has three years and $183 million left on his deal with the Celtics. Brown is also eligible for an extension this summer, which could factor into Boston’s decision to strike while the iron is hot.
