So it's been a week since we let a select number of readers and creators into the platform! We are already working on addressing some of the feedback we already received, but we want to know from the people here on Reddit.

What are your thoughts so far? Any features you would like in the future? and have you found any bugs that you'd like to report? Feel free to talk about it here!

Also, let us know if there's a particular series that has caught your eye so far!

Everyone!

The time is here, PopJoy’s beta starts tomorrow!

It’s been a long road and 2 years of work, but we are finally ready to give you all a first look while we put the finishing touches before our full launch!

Remember to be signed up on the waitlist at https://popjoy.app to get access as soon as we open!

For the creators already in: Make sure to get your pops in order to be read for the first time!

For the creators that haven’t joined already: Check our resources section once you are in to see some useful tutorials to get you started!

And for everyone: Remember this is still a beta and we are still working on polishing and fixing bugs, you can help us by reporting any problems by going to the support section in the creator space!

Also, we have found issues when using the site with the browser Brave (mainly for creating pops) so please be aware of this!

We are so excited to finally show you all what we have been working on! So we hope we see you all there!

Hey everyone!

Just a quick reminder that the PopJoy Beta is coming soon on August 18th!

This is the first time we'll be opening to readers, so for the creators already in the platform, please make sure to have your content ready to be viewed for the first time!

And for the readers, please remember to sign up to the waitlist in https://popjoy.app, as that's what will give you access to the beta!

Hope I see you all there, and if you have about any questions about the beta or PopJoy itself, i'll be glad to response here.

Cheers!

Hi everyone! I’m Jitsu Charat from PopJoy.

For those who haven’t heard of us, PopJoy is a new community-driven platform that brings comics to life through motion, layers, and depth.  We’re getting ready for our beta beginning August 18, and we’re looking for both readers and creators to help us test the platform!

Creators can use our built-in, AI-free tools to add movement and effects to their existing artwork.  No animation experience required.  We also offer analytics to help creators understand how their stories are performing, along with community features that make it easier to connect directly with readers.

If you’d like to take part in the beta, sign up at https://popjoy.app and we’ll let you know as soon as access opens! You can also join us in our own sub r/popjoy.

And if you’re a creator interested in learning more or potentially having your work featured on PopJoy, feel free to send me a DM.  I’d be happy to chat and answer any questions.  Thank you!

Hey everyone! If something was made clear during the closed beta, is that our current team wasn't enough to handle the sub at it's most active 😅 so we got some help from the moderators from Discord!

So with that i'd like to welcome our 3 new moderators:

u/Expression_Kooky (BlazerodNobody)
u/New-Dentist-7363 (Angel Dupre)
u/Designer-Power-7959 (Toot)

So please be nice to them and don't make them angry!

You wouldn't like them when they are angry ò_ó (...I mean I assume, nobody likes angry people)

Well everyone, it’s time for your good ol mod to say goodbye!

Sorry for making a post all about myself, but I guess since I always kept you informed on everything that happened, I should do it one last time too =P

I’ll reassure you in that there’s no drama here, I just simply… feel that my work here is done. You see, I like to go where I’m needed, and while I was never the biggest fan of Sailor Moon, I am heavily invested in the magical girls community in general, so when this sub was in trouble last year after the other mod resigned, I felt I should step up to help get things into order.

The thing is that I’m actually a professional Community Manager, and I was doing this on my free time as a way to help everyone, and since I didn’t have work at the time (besides my dayjob) I was managing ok. But now things have changed, since I’ve been hired to take care of a community for a project that’s very dear to me and I need to put my full attention there from now on.

So I leave happy knowing that you guys are in good hands. The team we built here is working really nicely and I’m quite glad of how the sub has been running. There’s the usual fights over dubs and whatnot that has always been there in the fandom and things like that n_nU but overall things have been quiet for a long time, and you guys have been great at adapting to the new rules that we made to make this place a little more welcoming to everyone, so overall I think things are as good as they can get in a community of this size!

So I’ll leave you with Sparki and the rest! I’ll still help the team out on some decisions if they need me, as I was told there’s a way to keep an “Advisor” position on the sub now, so things shouldn’t feel too different!

So with that, I thank you all for always cooperating with the mod team and giving us your support whenever we struggled a bit! Please keep taking care of them as they work really hard to keep this place nice and clean!

And as for me, if I can ask you guys a little favor, please come around to https://popjoy.app (or check our sub r/popjoy) which is the project I’m working on now! It’s a new platform for webcomics where I’ll host my own Magical Girl comics as well as being the Community Ambassador, I would greatly appreciate your support as we are just getting started <3

And with that, I’m off~ Knowing that unlike Tuxedo Mask, I actually did something~

Greetings everyone!

At PopJoy we are looking for artists to bring their stories to our platform ahead of release.

We are a new webcomic platform that’s coming soon as an alternative to the current ones, but we want to go one step further. We feature an in built editor that will allow you to animate your comics and bring your stories to life like never before.

We’ll also bring better analytics and monetization features to make living of your comics a reality.

At the moment we want creators to help with pre-populating the platform ahead of release. This of course has the benefit of being one of the first on the site and getting extra attention, but for those that put in the work and make their comics on our format, we are also giving them extra attention by featuring them in our ads, banners and even highlight videos!

Here are some examples of the things we are doing for the creators that already joined us:

Hoo: Talk Dirty to Me

Arcadia

Crow's Feet

The Bitsy Artist Highlight

So, if you’d like to take part in our launch lineup, please send me a DM with a link to your comic and I can bring you in!

Otherwise, if you are a reader or a creator that would rather wait until we launch, you can keep up with us by joining our waiting list on this link: https://popjoy.app/coming-soon

See you all soon!

Hey everyone. There's a general problem with many users getting selected from the beta and then being unable to download the game from the site.

I've been informed this is being worked on, so don't panic if you got an email saying you were in and are not being able to download it! That's all I know for now. Give it a few hours and try again please!

Hey everyone.

Lately we have gotten quite a few posts of people calling out other Sailor Moon subs that they dislike because they allow content that they hate or makes them unconfortable.

While we totally understand and of course, we don't allow such content here. We'd like to remind you that calling out other subs is not allowed in Reddit in general, as it's considered "Brigading" and could get us mods in trouble if we allowed it, as it's explicitely against the Mod Code of Conduct of Reddit as you can see here:

So, please do keep this in mind and avoid making such posts. We understand your frustration but we just can't allow it. We recommend that you silence those subs though, so you won't see their content anymore on your timeline.
