Anyone else?

I occasionally experience a moment where I see a future moment in my mind. Completely from my own perspective.

For example, in the present moment, I could be just sitting watching TV or on public transport, but then in my mind I will ‘see’ myself having a conversation with someone, in a particular setting/environment. I haven’t consciously desired to think of that moment or reality, nor do I know why that it’s particular moment I’m seeing/imagining.

But then Sure enough, time passes, sometimes a couple weeks, sometimes some months, and then that exact moment happens. It can be a significant moment that is shown, or something mundane, like just being somewhere else and doing something, like eating.

Anyone else have any experiences like this? Is there a name for this? And am I crazy? Thank you :)

An apt description.

As the fire comes to the end, what remains are the scorching, glowing embers. Not quite the flames that lick the sky and dance, but rather the simmering, intense energy that lies beneath. Moon in Scorpio.

Setup ideas to meet requirements?

Hi all,

Thought I’d get some perspectives from people who already doing narration and VO. Had some great advice from someone already via DM, thought I’d get some more ideas as to what works from others. I have a background in acting and thought VO and audiobook narration would tie in quite nicely with my acting aspirations and skillset. After looking into ACX, I understand that there are certain requirements needed in order to be successful when submitting recordings.

I didn’t want to jump in and begin buying the equipment as sound treatment seems to be key. I didn’t want to get stuck with a bunch of gear if the recording s were proving to be of no use.

My budget can only really accommodate for a PVC pipe frame and acoustic blanket setup in a bedroom which is fairly quiet (i measured with a noise app, it’s around 40db). The room has a tall ceiling, over 2.5 m i’d say. I don’t have a room which i can (acoustically?) treat, and the wardrobe/closet simoly doesn’t have enough space to accommodate me along with the clothes. Also, i will likely be moving soon, so it’d be helpful if it was a portable setup.

How difficult is it to meet the requirements? If the room noise is around 40db, with the pvc pipe booth setup and the acx processing, will it likely meet the requirements for submission?

Would love to hear advice, thoughts, ideas!

Worthy Spotlight Credits?

Hey, just wanted some advice on what Credits people put on their profile? As a beginner, so far I’ve done a corporate gig and a web ad for a household brand. Is it worth putting these up on the profile?

I assumed it would be the right thing to do until (God willing) I hit my stride with actual creative roles and then I could do away with them? Would love to hear thoughts :)

Bottom screen issue

Hi guys,

I’m hoping someone here will be able to help. I decided to get my younger sister’s DS Lite reshelled, the idea was to have usb c charging, new screens, and new shell. But the guy i gave it to (this was his first DS project but he repairs phones and pc’s in his store) only managed to do the reshell and new screens. It’s fine, except the bottom screen only responds to the stylus when i unscrew the screws on the back. When I screw them back in, it doesn’t respond. In the video you can see something in the bottom right that comes up when applying pressure, not sure if that could be cause of the issue. At this point, I’m thinking of buying a new unit, but the point was at least to hve some fresh screens. Any ideas?

Til Next Time

How long was I to wait?
Amongst the treasures you had gifted me,
I had turned over and over every utterance from your lips,
Followed every glance,
Reinvented every impression left by our embraces and brushings,
I even embellished your speech with words unspoken,
I waited,
I waited,
And enamoured patience with patience,
Would we recognise each other in new form?
A last utterance I implore you,
So that perhaps I may live the last moments unfettered.

Is this the inevitable endgame for all PS3’s? xD

Maybe for the fat consoles only?

Silver Vita 1000 - damn.

sold my psp, missed it dearly, so pulled the trigger on this Silver vita from Japan. I figured if i’m gonna get one, i want a cool colour. What a system! The nostalgia is real.

so awesome to be able to go back and play psp and vita games I missed out on.

Need to replace the battery and possibly do a usb c mod, but not sure if i should just keep it stock.
