I have a 2016 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 NA 75hp on 56,500 miles with the B14XER engine recentely i've gotten a clatter/rattle noise coming from the engine bay for the past 500 miles when the car is started stone cold it it doesn't rattle but it rattles when revs drop from 2,000ish rpm also happens when I drive and change gear at same RPM the noise goes away after 3-5 minutes of driving or 5 minutes of idling.

If I change gear at a lower rpm or rev when idling at lower rpm it doesn't make this noise i've apparently been told it may be the timing chain or piston slap..rod knock.. not completely positive on this.

It's had a major service 300 miles ago with engine flush and noise didn't change at all.

For example; start up no noise from rattle/clatter, drive for about 3-5 minutes everytime changing gear it makes a Clatter/rattle and when I'm coming off the throttle it's not the gear box but once i've driven for little bit it's gone completely even before any temp shows on the guage if i let car sit for couple hours as long as engine has some warmth in it it won't make the noise again but if it sits until engine is cold again it's back.

I recently had a major service done: spark plugs, filters, oil etc so the car should be running as best as it can right now and it's got full service history having oil changes pretty much every 5,000 - 7,000 miles.

Does anyone else have any suggestions on what it could be?

My favourite thing is going into public servers and actually roleplaying.

When deaccelerating it makes the sound for second or two happens instantly when letting go of the throttle I have recentely fitted a new backbox that's on bumper and not on hanger properly so I will be changing that tomorrow back to normal to see if the noise goes away as i only noticed it while after fitting it does sound like it's coming from back right (facing engine) in the engine bay so i'm not 100% convinced it's timing chain.

It's due a major service soon and i'm booked in to the garage to get this done it's costing me £300 so i'd rather avoid this and get timing done as well if it needs done along with a major service to save myself money.

does anyone else have any suggestions what it could be if it's not the exhaust when I fix it tomorrow

I'm from the UK, so I see so many vehicles on GTA and think they're cool as fuck.

Seeing this in the trailer though, it's definitely going to be the first car I buy.. or steal!
