How do you guys like the Evil Dead movies?

I’m just getting into my Halloween horror movie run and started with Polergeist (1982) which totally holds up and you should watch if you haven’t. I love that it seems like HBO has all of the popular horror movie franchises cooking right now. I came across the Evil Dead movies which I’ve never seen. Looks like there’s quite a few available so just looking for recs on where to start. The newest one, Evil Dead Burn is out now and it includes all the movies back to Evil Dead 2 w/ Bruce Campbell

Did you ever throw a house party while your parents were out of town? How did it go?

My sister and I did this once when I was 17 and she was 16. This was in 2005 and my friends and I were pretty into drinking and smoking weed on the weekends. All things considered it ended pretty well even though we did get caught by my mom and got grounded. Thankfully there wasn’t any police evolved or fights or anything but it got pretty close. We got a friend with a fake ID to buy like 3 30 packs of bud light and everything else was byob. It started off around 9:00 with just close friends around 8 people. By like 11:00pm there was probably 30-40 people, friends of my sisters and I or at least knew from school. Then big groups of people started showing up that we didn’t even know and it started to get out of control. My friends and I wouldn’t let the strangers in and a fight almost started in the front lawn. We got spooked and decided to call it a night around 12:30am and kicked everyone out. The basement reeked of beer bc we were playing beer pong on the table and it soaked into the carpet all around the table. My best friend got too drunk and fell down the basement stairs halfway down and put his head through the dry wall when he landed. He popped his head out of the wall and started laughing so he was fine luckily. We tried to hide the hole with a sublime poster but my mom noticed immediately the weird placement of the poster at around knee height lol. My neighbor called my mom and said she saw my sisters bf leaving with 16 huge bags of trash. Someone had gutted a blunt and dumped it in the bathroom trash but we missed it so my mom found that and knew we had been smoking weed. My mom was super pissed and grounded for like a month but thank god nothing tragic happened and everyone got home safe

Dumb and Dumber (Unrated) is cursed. Stick with the OG

I’ve seen the theatrical version of the movie probably 25+ times but last night I watched the Unrated version on Prime. This is not the same movie with some funny deleted scenes like most unrated versions. The deleted scenes stick out like a sore thumb and actively make the movie worse. Theres an extended motel hot tub scene where Lloyd is listening to a couple next door having sex and then goes on this aggressive homophobic tirade about how Harry would like it if he banged him..just totally dark out of character. Also, the bathroom stall scene with Seabass included him pulling down his pants to reveal a close up of his junk in a leopard print thong. There’s a few other scenes that are just kinda nothing burgers and should have been kept out. Man I wish I’d never seen it and just had the memory of the theatrical version 🤮

Name a great movie that has no romance plot lines for the main characters

Just a little random movie trivia, it was kind of tough to think of one off the top of my head tbh. Almost every big movie has some kind of romantic interest or relationship

Movies from the 1980s that still visually hold up today?

I’ve seen plenty of 60,70s,90s movies but not 80s movies for whatever reason. I saw the Thing a few months ago and it was really cool and disgusting lol. What else should I check out?

Wedding DJs how do you open and close on the mic?

I’ve done bars, clubs and weddings for about 11yrs now and when it comes to weddings I keep it pretty basic on the mic. I’ve done it enough that I’m comfortable and enthusiastic on the mic but don’t put on a fake radio DJ voice or get on the mic in between every other song. I usually just open by welcoming everyone, letting them know we’re gonna have a really fun night and get into introducing the wedding party and go into first dance. From there, I’ll make some basic announcements and bring people up for toasts and parent dances. After that’s all out of the way I open the dance floor by inviting everyone to join the bride and groom on the dance floor for the first song so I can pack the dance floor at the begging so I can kind of set the vibe for the rest of the evening. Once the dance floor is open I pretty much just let the music talking.. I don’t do a ton of hype stuff you might see DJs doing at like raves or festivals. I’m still not great at closing out the night on the mic lol I’ll basically let people know we have one last song so come meet the bride and groom on the dancefloor and one the songs done I’ll basically say “ let’s hear it one more time for the newlyweds, thanks for coming out and enjoy the rest of your evening, Goodnight!” I mean the last song is always a rager and everyone’s having fun but yeah I keep it pretty short and sweet. I’ve done probably close to 150 weddings and 99% of the time it goes great and I get 5star reviews but I’m always looking to improve I guess and don’t wanna get stale doing the same things. I’m naturally a pretty introverted guy so I just kind of feel like that’s my style but I’m curious to hear what some of you guys like to do on the mic at weddings, especially opening and closing the night?

Sword and Shield Ultimate is unhinged and I love it! Looking for a link cable for evos

This is my first rom hack remake and I’m having so much fun on this one so far! So crazy seeing all the new mons in pixel art form. I’m never going to be able to decide on a final team. Im looking for some kind of link cable item that will let me bypass trade evos but haven’t had any luck so far. I definitely want to level up my Scyther and Porygon pretty soon. I’ve gotten through 4 gyms and haven’t been able to find one yet from any NPCs

Post a pic of your favorite full art card

I think some of the artwork in TGCP is as good as the physical trading cards

This scene was heartbreaking (spoilers)

I think Claire’s mom’s plot line has some of the best acting in the show. The first time that the Haitian (who is great btw) mentions to Claire that he’s visited her mom “so many times before” I was like omg that’s so sad. Then once you realize all the mind erasing over the years has caused her serious cognitive damage… dude that’s so fucked up.

Such a chill little beach spot and relaxing audio

I love that you can just chill and hear the waves coming in if you wanna take a break, maybe do some fishing. Dragonite seems to really like it too lol

First time ever playing Black/White 2! Going in pretty much blind. What do you think sets this game aside from the others? Any tips for a noob?

I’ve played Fire red, Heartgold brilliant diamond and Emerald. I haven’t really heard alot about B/W 2 aside from it has a good story. I’m stoked to find some new Pokemon. Any mons I should look for early and invest in leveling up?

How to fix save game issue on Delta?

Hey gang.. I’m not sure when this issue started but it’s fairly new because i used to have no trouble saving my game in Delta. I’m getting this message that it’s impossible to save because there’s a saved game file already. I tried pressing up + select + B but it didn’t work unfortunately. I am able to set a save state and load state in Delta but I just can’t save in game. The game is Pokémon Heartgold. I’ve been using save/load state in Delta but I need to actually save in game to move to post game after beating the elite four

First ever Shiny in Heart Gold ✨

Just randomly stumbled upon this crab in the Whirl Islands. Ive seen shiny pokemon in the newer games but never anything before Gen 4 so thats pretty cool. I’ve never used Kingler on a team before but I saw he can learn False Swipe so I’ll definitely evolve and use him for Catching at least. Happy Friday night

The music in the national park is so chill

I forgot how good the piano riff is when you walk into the National Park. Officially my favorite place to raise friendship

Cynthia’s Garchomp round 2

I HATE Cynthia’s Garchomp. She can literally one shot all of my Pokemon. Had to collect my revenge on my 2nd fight with the Elite 4. Cursed it with Gengar for good measure then sent in Tyrantiar to hyper beam its ass
