Are there any pics of Rhyne Howard in the 3 Point Contest?

The Dream social medias haven’t mentioned her actual participation at all (yes they advertised that she would be participating). But I’m seeing no pics of Howard anywhere. Are there any independent photographers who might have pics, at least?

How is Dorka doing?

Being a Lynx fan living in Louisiana, I don’t get to catch all their games (not even their game today is available smh). But how’s Dorka been doing? Haven’t heard much buzz through the grapevine since she’s been back, but I’m sure it’s positive news!

So when Ditto transforms or auto transforms due to its ability

…does it gain speed and strength? How does it move faster than the Pokemon it copied every time? And also one just sank my Archadulon with its (my own) Aura Sphere and yet I’ve never been able to one-shot any Archadulon with the same move. wtf. Am I missing something?

Population Bomb wtf

Yo, what is this move??? It has never hit me for any amount of hits LESS than what is needed to OHKO my Pokemon. 5 hits, 7 hits, 10 hits. Never been hit with this attack and survived

I’m one of the guys who haven’t played since Sun and Moon. I looked up this attack on Bulbapedia. NO drawbacks. It says some BS about accuracy checks for each hit but like I said, never have I ever seen this attack hit for less than what is needed to KO my full health Pokemon. wtf

I mean, I still won but damn haha

[Louisiana] Restaurant hasn’t paid my hourly wages

Been working at this place for almost two months now. It’s going mostly well, but if something happens I want to know if I can protect myself.

I’ve worked a minimum 52 hours a week since May 6th but I haven’t received a check for my hourly wage. It’s only $2.13, but over time that should be like $500 before taxes, right? I mentioned it to the manager last Friday, June 26, so we’ll see what happens next. We’re supposed to receive our hourly checks every 2 weeks. Everyone else seems to receive theirs as normal. Idk if it’s some sort of tax benefit to not cutting a check for me or what, but like I said, is this something I’d be able to sue for? What options would I have and what documentations would I need for restitution if it ever comes to that? This is my first time ever being a server.

Edit: we receive checks for credit card tips weekly, and receive a separate check for hourly wages no-weekly. I haven’t received the bi-weekly check as of yet.

Almost bought Stone Ocean at the store today… but it had translated stand names?

I was in the store today and saw Stone Ocean and Steel Ball Run. I considered buying, but when I read the pages I noticed it said DIVER DRIVE instead of Diver Down, and Maiden Heaven and Stone Ocean. This is the first time I’ve looked through a physical Jojo’s manga… is this normal to have the translations for the stand names? Or is this a special collection? I want to buy Steel Ball Run but I don’t want the kiddified stand names

Can we end the era of draft and stash

Was so excited for Justė Jocytė but I see now that her time has passed and by the time she levels up her role on the team might not even be the same as it would’ve been in 2025 when she was drafted. Can we really hope to see her as a huge part of the team? Even other draft and stashes like Han Xu or Awak Kuier aren’t really much more than marginal role players and won’t be in a position to be more than that

Idk maybe I just don’t see Jocyte really being a significant part of the Valkyries. WNBA teams change fast and being at the bottom of the depth charts in terms of production doesn’t do much for players or teams in this league

Man, I’m watching Creed and Creed 2 for the first time. This is impossible

Yo, I just want to say. First off, I saw the Rocky series once, the first three movies at least. My biggest takeaway?

This is not boxing!! lmao! Man. Back in those movies, these dudes were just beating the hell out of each other so relentlessly that I need to find a word that much more precise than “barbaric” or “inhumane” to even describe the carnage. The Rocky movies were just simply hard to watch, because the way they were beating each other, who could truly watch that without wincing? Haha.

Man, so Creed 1, it’s the same idea. Man nah this ain’t boxing. The way these niggas taking heavy face shots pause. Ain’t no way they’d be alive let alone fighting.

I mean, you can tell Adonis is Creed’s student because his style is the art of absorbing devastating blows. For Rocky, I get it. His unique style of survival made him a legend. But I just don’t believe a guy with that youth and that build could take that much damage and win, let alone last 12 rounds, let alone last 6 rounds.

And Creed 2…. Why Rocky scared to coach bruh in Creed 2? Adonis tryna avenge his dad against the dude that killed him and bro just not gonna show up? Man no way. Dudes be making impossible decisions, lmao.

Man. I should’ve seen these movies in theaters. I’m enjoying myself. I still have 45 minutes left of Creed 2, sounds like the baby has complications like he’s not supposed to live much longer or something.

But I just wanted to share with someone who knows lol cus I’m enjoying myself.

Also, Michael B. Jordan acts like Killmonger in every movie. Haha

So… guess Phee and probably Dorka won’t be back until after the All-Star Break?

Everyone says “The Lynx finna be unstoppable when Phee gets back” (not necessarily just Lynx fans) but…. Just like the other indefinite designations in the league—DiJonai Carrington, Ezi Magbegor, etc… we don’t really have any news or updates on players coming back.

I mean, the only reason we think Phee and Dorka are “back soon” is because we estimate they should’ve been back by now based on what we’ve been told before.

But the season is 44 games… we’re 15 in… so the All-Star Break must be around the 22 game mark… well how many games do we expect Phee to play this year? And how big of a role in the offense do we expect? It seems when it comes to injuries on the WNBA, they always keep players out way longer than reported. Phee, fwiw, hasn’t started basketball drills yet. Has Dorka?

Anyway, I’ve personally been on the “no idea when Phee is coming back, probably the last quarter of the season” bandwagon. And also, she got her surgery pretty late. In March, if I’m correct? Didn’t she get hurt around September? Idk. Maybe that’s why there was friction in the contract negotiations. Anyway, I’m just thinking out loud…

Dio’s greatness weakness was The World

In Stardust Crusaders, Dio only ever took damage while using time stop. Like any anime villain, using special moves leaves you vulnerable and Dio is no exception. Matter of fact, his unbeatable body was only destroyed because Star Platinum destroyed his stand, The World, on impact, and that catastrophic damage was reflected in Dio.

Though it’s true that Star Platinum was able to fracture Dio’s skull, it was the destruction of his stand that killed Dio, not physical impact

[Anime Watchers] The best lesson I’ve learned from Jojo is to believe in yourself.

One thing that separates the Jojos is that they accept the realities they are in—whether be it fighting vampires or stands or whatever bizarre situation they’re in, the first step to overcoming is to accept what they see and believe to be true.

Ermes said it best when she gained her power, and even in the real life human world, us intelligent beings know what things are when we see or touch or feel them, and we have an understanding of how things work once we experience them or interact with them. The difference in Jojo is that they don’t doubt what they believe, they act on it first and evolve as they gain information. We regulars have that trait as well. What Jojo has taught me is to believe in my own perception and intellect, and it lets me feel like I have control over my reality and the things surrounding it. I really admire the self-belief of these characters which allows them to understand their circumstances and participate within them, leading them to move so fluidly in these bizarre adventures.

I don’t think the Jojos characters are super intelligent or even supposed to be. I think they just accept what they see and believe and act on it.

If the issues this year aren’t fixable, it’s because of some questionably allocated contracts.

I want to first say this: I understand that there are WNBA teams who have questionable stars of olden days on their team, but kept them around to get paid off the new CBA due to their lifetime contributions to the team. Think Indiana with Kelsey Mitchell and Dallas with Arike Ogunbowale, and others.

But I think the excitement of wanting to compensate played (aka not be seen as “kicking them to the curb”) put Indiana in a spot where have a myriad of problems that I don’t think are fixable this season.

I think Mitchell gets too much usage and a team that offensively capable doesn’t need a star SG alongside their star PG and C when they already have good shooters and an additional defensive guard.

But they gave Mitchell a max contract. So they’re not gonna give Raven minutes over that fat contract. The truth is, pro teams sometimes are locked into their season strategy by the time the season kicks off. So I don’t think that will be fixed. Unfortunately, Mitchell playing harder or better isn’t really the solution there.

Looks like it’s Sophie Cunningham’s last year. The ‘Tres Leches’ don’t even exist this year and she’s never seen with Hull and CC anymore. Again, they gave Lexie a fat contract and gave Cunningham a shitty one, and obviously there’s a rift there. So I don’t think that will really be solved this season either.

To me those are the two biggest issues. I think Raven should play more and I think Cunningham and Hull should be schemed a bit better around CC. But I think those contracts are preventing these things from happening.

Mitchell to me takes key opportunities away from CC, AB, and Raven. And you want Hull and Cunningham available at times on a dual-PG offense with Raven and CC.

I’d even say that those contracts to Hull and Mitchell might even be the reason Fever don’t have another big alongside AB (Billings is a good complement to AB, but it’d be better if there was another big she could complement).

So idk. Lowkey the Fever might be cooked this year due to financial obligations. Oh, and CC has to fix her attitude. And lastly, I think CC and the guards need to be more mobile off-ball, like how Steph Curry is on the Warriors. So I don’t think the team’s biggest issues will be resolved this year.

Cait still has to learn how to win. She still has holes in her game, and her gameplay + attitude doesn’t help the team.

Don’t forget EuroLeague MVP Dorka Juhász is set to return to the Lynx

Everyone is saying, “The Lynx don’t even have Phee yet,” and I want to remind everyone we also have the euroleague MVP due to return soon. Dorka won over finalists Meesseman and Salaun. 😈

…but is it a good idea?

Dorka has been recovering from injury, but Natasha Howard has been doing great in her place. Howard’s 17 points and 8 rebounds a game are a big reason why the Lynx are 7-2…

Similarly, Napheesa Collier (who signed a 1-year deal with Minnesota this offseason) is set to return, but in the past, Lynx offenses have fully revolved around her.

Will Phee have chemistry with Olivia Miles? How will the team change?

Will the league-leading Lynx be vulnerable when their titans return to the lineup?

The battle is at night. How would Wamuu fare against stand users from Part 6?

I don’t think a stand user vs a non stand user is an automatic W, especially when you can fight the user and still win. Could Pillar Man Wamuu defeat the stand users of Part 6, even without a stand of his own? How many?

Aye it doesn’t look like Phoenix will recover from this fall. I’d say they are contending for the top pick.
