Birth control options

Hi! Out of curiosity - what are the birth control methods the child free community uses?

I just watched a reel which painted a realistic picture of how the burden of birth control is almost always on women - this is very true given most men shy away from vasectomies. Is that the case with CF men as well? Are y’all open to doing vasectomies/ have already had the procedure done to ensure you’re child free or do you put / plan to put that burden on your spouse?

Edit: I realise there are no birth control options that are fool proof as pointed out in some comments. So removing that part.

How do you show up at work with depression?

Hi. I’ve been diagnosed with PDD. I work remotely, well paid, but I find it very difficult to actually work. I find it difficult to do anything at all - just to get up from bed, to charge my phone, to get something to eat. I’ve been in survival mode for too long. I thought I’d end it a couple of weeks back, but I couldn’t. I don’t have the courage it takes. I get scared thinking I’ll get fired. My job is the only means of survival for me. My dogs are dependent on me. I don’t have anyone else who cares about me. The most practical thing to do would be to end it, my parents will take my dogs in. If I continue this way, I’ll get fired and will struggle financially as well - on top of everything else. I don’t have anyone I can call and cry to. I go to therapy, but it hasn’t been helping off late.

I’m otherwise interesting - I travel, I dive, climb, paint, I care deeply about the planet and animals, but I’m horrible at relationships - any kind of relationship with people.

I’m sorry, I’m just ranting at this point. Any help on how to be better at work with depression would be appreciated.

2 week solo trip to Madagascar

Hi! I’m planning a 2 week solo trip to Madagascar in the beginning of October. I’m a diver and want to get at least some diving time in Madagascar. It’s also the end of the humpback whale season, so if there are any ethical dive centres with which I have a chance to catch sight of a humpback whale while we’re in the ocean, I’d like to be able to do it.

Attached is my plan, could someone check and tell me if it’s feasible and let me know if you’d suggest any modifications?

Planning to spend August in Tripura

Hello. I’m planning to spend a full month in Tripura. I’ll be working during weekdays and traveling to places in the weekends. Could someone please recommend a fully furnished place for short stay - with wifi, kitchen etc? The options on airbnb are really expensive.
Also, is August a good time to visit?
Plus, if someone could send me a bunch of places I can visit during the time I’m around, it’d be great. I’m not interested in visiting temples or other religious places, but I’m really looking forward to places like Chabimura, and anything amidst nature.

Thanks in advance for your help!

31F, India/ Anywhere

Hello there!
I’m 31F, separated 1 year back and waiting for the divorce to get finalised. I’m from India, I work remotely. I enjoy traveling, and being outside in general - diving , snorkeling, hiking, biking, herping and anything that allows me to be outside. I’m really fond of dogs (and all animals for that matter). I have 2 really cool dog babies. I’ve never wanted kids and I cannot logically give myself a reason to have kids.
I’m politically left aligned, atheist, vegan.
I don’t do well with “because that’s how it’s always been”. I’m much more interested in people who are curious than people who are certain.

Looking for someone who’s kind, curious, emotionally available, has opinions, isn’t afraid to change your mind when wrong, and is excited by the idea of building a life that’s a little unconventional.

DM if you’d like to have a conversation. Please include your interests, profession, and anything else you’d like me to know in your chat request.

Diving in Palau

Hello. I’m planning a solo dive trip to Palau in the first half of October. What should I expect? If there’s anyone who’s dived there - which dive centre would you recommend? Is anyone else planning to travel around the same time?

What are your reasons to live?

I know the subject line feels dark. But it’s only because that’s how life’s been lately. To someone looking at me from outside, it would seem like I’ve got it all sorted. A well paying job, my dogs, family, friends, lots of travel and adventure. But I feel like I don’t have it in me to keep going. I always need something to look forward to to keep living. I’m extremely poor at maintaining relationships - I get tired of people and their expectations. I don’t have home because I never felt like I needed one and I don’t feel at home anywhere. I’ve been in therapy and it doesn’t help. I think of moving to a different country and start over, but I can’t imagine being happy. Everything seems pointless. I’m not religious or spiritual but I strongly believe that I’m extremely lucky I got to experience life. And there’s lots of stuff I want to do in life. But I feel too tired to drag myself through it all. And this isn’t a new feeling. It’s been like this for years. What are your reasons to keep going?

I love cooking for my dogs

I sometimes go overboard with my babies’ meals. But I love it.
I don’t use any canned food - only fresh produce.

Do your pugs pee/ poo together or are mine weird?

Both my Pugs pee/ go potty at exactly the same time even when they aren’t looking at each other. This doesn’t happen always obviously, but just often enough for me notice it and I find this hilarious lol 😂

Manali to Spiti 26 May

Hey guys,

I read that the road to spiti is now open for 4x4. I’m thinking to hire a car and do the journey on 26th May. It’s 2 of us. If anyone would like to join, we could share the cab charges.

Hey guys,

Anyone headed to Turtuk side on a motorcycle next weekend from Leh? I’d be renting my own motorcycle. If anyone’s interested, we could ride together (on separate bikes of course).

Hello fellow Reddit folks,
I’m in Leh for about a month from tomorrow (4 May). I’ll be working from a homestay there. If anyone’s free to catch up and maybe visit a couple of monasteries during the early hours of the day or post my work hours, we could do it together. In the weekends I’m planning to visit places slightly far - like Hanle, Kargil, pangong etc. If there are any travellers around, hit me up!
