Where do Wattpad readers & writers actually hang out?

Hi everyone, honestly this is one of the few Wattpad communities I genuinely enjoy being part of. Whenever I post here, people always give really nice responses and advice, so thank you for that first of all.

I actually wanted to create a Wattpad account too because I’d love to connect more with readers and writers there, but for some reason my account just isn’t getting created no matter how many times I try 😭

So I wanted to ask , are there any good Instagram book/writer communities or group chats related to Wattpad/book readers where people discuss stories, writing, books, etc.?

Would genuinely love to join and connect with more people from this community outside Reddit too.

Someone in my family had a baby girl, and her zodiac letters are A, L, and I. Can anyone suggest a nice unique name that’s easy to pronounce but also unique?

What do dark fantasy & romantasy readers actually want now?

My current novella is almost finished, and after that I’ll finally start working on my first full novel, a dark romantasy with adventure and heavy worldbuilding.

So I genuinely wanted to ask fantasy/romantasy readers here:

What do you actually look for in this genre now?

what makes you fall in love with a dark romantasy world, and what instantly ruins it for you?

Do you still enjoy classic tropes if they’re done well, or do you prefer completely fresh ideas and worlds?

What are some mistakes you think authors often make in romantasy stories?

I’d honestly love genuine advice and opinions before I fully dive into writing it.

Is a psychological coming-of-age novella worth reading?

I’m currently writing my next story and it’s almost finished now.

It’ll probably be around 12 chapters, with each chapter being somewhere between 2k–3k words. So I think it’ll fall more into the novella category than a full novel.

The story is a psychological coming-of-age drama, and I honestly wanted to ask readers here:

Would you personally read a novella in this genre if the story feels complete and emotionally satisfying?

Or do you think I should expand it more and turn it into a full-length novel with more chapters?

I don’t want to stretch the story unnecessarily just to make it longer, but at the same time I wonder if readers prefer bigger books in this genre.

Would genuinely love to hear your thoughts.
