Nepo babies

I’m so sick and tired of nepotism and the nepo babies taking over. I am a working actor for over 11 years now and I always get pushed aside due to someone famous has a kid that wants to act. I come from a poor background with immigrant parents and most of my family are now dead and gone. Yet here I am still loving and chasing this dream of mine… for me. But everywhere I go and every show I watch or I’m in, some Nepo baby is the lead.

Just look at Hollywood! They’re all children of someone famous or in a family with one.

I’ve been in over 25 shows in my country and I’ll never get a bigger shot due to them. I just wish some of these babies would acknowledge how privileged they are and perhaps send the elevator down again. But they don’t. They act like it’s because of their talent.

99% of the acting industry is about looks and connections( just ranting here ). An editor can make the worst actor look amazing on screen. So when you see a mediocre performance, know that was their best takes.
I’ve acted with some big names and seen how terrible they are and how many takes they need to get a simple line right.

Anyways, rant over….
I know I can’t do much about it, nor will I quit. No idea what else to do. Just sucks. Everything is by and for the elites nowadays.

Thanks for reading.

Geeone rebound

Always looking for some silent ones as I have a partner with very sensitive ears.

This one is very nice. Love the rebound feeling and it’s silent.

[Discussion] did GO copy Airain for seaQ

Was just admiring GOs SeaQ and checking reviews. Then I stumbled across a video about a brand I had no idea about. They made a diver amongst other watches their diver design was made 7 years before SeaQs original design. It’s a very unique looking watch with a funky design to the crown. It predates the SeaQ by being released in 1962.

Anyways, if you love the Seaq but not the price. You might want to consider this watch that perhaps is the original designer.

But not sure, I’m a bit clueless here so if someone has the knowledge let me know. It has definitely peaked my interest.

Watches should never cost more than 15k

I don’t think any amount of expertise, complication, movement finishing should warrant the obscene prices we are seeing. The whole “ it’s worth the money “ is a load of nonsense. Most people can’t tell finishing and quality beyond a 15k watch. Just even that is insane. 15k for a watch should be peak and insane value and the top of the game.

Right now it feels like the industry caters to the rich with limited colors and editions without much innovation. Brands have gotten lazy tweaking in the small and amping prices when they do.

They are destroying their own brand and the industry or just making it even more catered to the 1% leaving the rest of us in the dust.

Nowadays it feels like you settle for certain lacks and issues or “ with tolerance “ because the watch cost “only “ around 3-4k. Which is totally ludicrous if you think about it.

We’ve come to accept that they can to less for higher prices.

In the end I firmly believe that no watch should ever cost more than 15k, that should the peak, the top and the best.

I just saw a micro brand I never heard about make a gmt watch priced at 165k chf. Like what? Why?

This was a watch I got before I was into watches. Now my collection has matured a lot with some high end pieces.

This watch I found again when going through my parent’s stuff. Not sure how old it is. Maybe 20 years ?

Anyways thought I’d share it with you folks here on this sub

[Omega] when the light is right

Omega railmaster on the OEM nato leather strap. It’s not super warm where I live in the Nordic countries. At least not at the moment. Otherwise I wouldn’t wear it on a leather strap. I’m still in the honeymoon phase with this one. Who also takes too many pictures of their watches.
Especially the newest one.

What’s your watch cycles like? I tend to wear a watch 5-7 days at the time before changing.

Anyways, have a lovely week watch folks !

[Tudor] BB58 925

Still one of my favorite watches in my collection. I’ve had it since 2024. No tarnish. Tudor black bay 58. 925. It’s a very underrated model imo. I wish they’d release a silver bracelet for it. But that would prolly be very expensive haha. The see through case back is nice but the movement isn’t decorated, and very Tudor industrial design. Compared to the monarch or black bay ceramic with its all black movement.

This is the one watch I’ll never sell. Here it is on a Nato in grey and a para trooper in green.

[Omega] just got my first omega

It’s been my favorite Omega for such a long time. It’s underrated, and the brushed dial is truly what I love about it. Coupled with the whole watch being brushed. I’ve never been a fan of polished watches. I’m so stoked. It looks so cool and the dial changes in different light settings. Anyways, it’s the seamaster railmaster. Master chronometer, co-axial.

It’s 40mm and 46lug to lug. For those that are curious.

Sadly no on the fly micro adjust. But got an extra oem leather nato that I’ll put it on eventually.

[Hanhart] finally got bracelet

I’ve always had my 417es on the bund strap and the bracelet for my version, was always sold out. Finally managed to get it. The tool less micro adjust is great and the bracelet changes the look completely. Giving the watch a fresh take. This is an older 39mm version. If you’re considering a chronograph, check Hanhart out. Amazing value for money.

Have a lovely weekend folks

Edit: the on the fly micro adjust is heaps better than tudors version. It’s more precise and tactile.

Grey on Grey. Still one of my favorite watches in the collection. I’ve had it over a year. And no it doesn’t tarnish. At least mine hasn’t. I do wish one day that they’d release a silver bracelet haha. Right now it’s on my EO MN. I still think it’s the coolest precious metal watch. Because I love silver.

Anyways. Have a lovely weekend.
