Genuinely losing it
I hate t-mobile home internet, never, ever, ever again. The local fiber company is one neighbourhood away, I'm genuinely considering running a 1km Ethernet cable to the nearest ziply router
The Perfect Desk v2.0
V2.0 - the functionality update (see last photo for old setup)
I learned many lessons with the cable management on V1, I used those to make v2.
Changes in order of importance:
-Added Second Monitor
-Added Quality Microphone & Boom Arm
-Relocated Speaker Puck Controller To Desk (Behind Coiled KB Cable)
-Utilized A Higher Quality Dual Monitor Arm (Huanuo)
-Used Longer Cables For Monitors, Enough Slack To Move
-Significantly Stronger Under Desk Cable Channel
-Lightbar Plugged Into Monitor USB Instead Of Routing Far
I'm a bit sad I couldn't find a way to hide the cables on the mic and monitor arms, without the mic and boom arm the main monitor has a really cool floating aesthetic too.
I'm definitely glad I installed the RGB strip with v1, it was totally worth it.
Note: I still have the headphones, only left them off the desk for photos
(Previous Post/More Info)
Alex Drawers, Furniture Risers, Saljan countertop.
This is the best my setup has ever looked thanks to the superb cable management harnessing the power of 3d printing, and the lovely ikea ALEX and SALJAN
Two retractable usb c cable reels of course, nothing I hate more than not having charging when I need it.
Used the 3d printed opengrid system on the back of one of my Alex drawers as there is space there anyway from the slightly larger width of the countertop,
absolutely hated my previous anfallare desk that was made of paper, finally I have a desk made of sawdust instead 😆
I drilled holes in the drawer and routed some cables through it, invisible unless you know where to look
Monitor Idea
Limited space, why have I not seen many examples of people wall mounting a monitor more out of the way? Is it just because of how impractical it is?
I'm going to add a second monitor vertical, but I'm debating between throwing a third on the wall while I'm balls deep in renovations
What do y'all think? The cable management sounds fun
I know my neck would get abused if I used it often, but I could throw long running tasks on there and glance every once in a while
Maybe it's super unnecessary, but I like having the space to grow into.
Also one more thing, mounting a boom arm mic on the bottom shelf, is that something I can do? Because it's what I want to do.
Anyone here betting on DWCS season 10?
If so, where? I might have to join in on the fun 😏
I can't stop, I've even gambled on the color of my cake
I can't stop, I just close my eyes and randomly choose a color, I love chance, I love odds, I love fate, I love the suspense, I can't stop
Unpopular Opinion, Waking up at noon is better than 6am
Here's the deal, right now I'm going to bed around 1:30am and waking up at 9:30am. I can absolutely see myself pushing the bed time even a few hours further
That uninterrupted nighttime freedom is unparalleled, and seeing the dawn in the sky right as your hopping in bed is a unique feeling I enjoy,
I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a night owl, I'm adaptable and can be either, but I think I prefer skipping mornings.
If you live with family or noisy neighbours, you know how annoying it is trying to reach flow without being interrupted.
Yesterday I made a pact with myself and to prove my conviction did 1500 pushups, 500 sit ups, and 500 squats from 12:45am-4:45am. I slept in until about noon, It's the next day and I feel remarkably well. I expected to feel groggy, sore, etc. though the doms is likely going to kick in more tomorrow if it's coming.
TLDR: 5am wake up is performative, do whatever works best for you, because in the end that's all that matters.
Old Vs New
2024 Spark Trixx, 40hrs
Had a nagging feeling my acceleration was getting worse, then it began cavitating heavily. Strangely my top speed wasn't affected as much as I would expect

After much pain, she's done.
Is there anything I could have optimized where I took a long route for no reason? I think I did pretty well.
Is it time to replace my wear ring?
2024 spark Trixx with 39hrs, fully stock.
I don't recall sucking up any debris, but I am the second owner
Worrying Find
I'm glad they specified, I really couldn't tell if they were alive
Tailscale + Open WebUI works on Wi-Fi but times out on cellular (iPhone + Windows + Docker setup)
I’m trying to self-host Open WebUI on my Windows PC (Docker) and access it remotely from my iPhone using Tailscale, but I’ve hit a weird issue I can’t resolve.
Setup:
Windows 11 PC (Docker running Open WebUI)
Tailscale installed on PC + iPhone
iPhone (iOS) using Tailscale VPN
Open WebUI running locally and over LAN works fine
Access via http://100.x.x.x:3000
What works:
Open WebUI works perfectly on PC (localhost)
Open WebUI works on iPhone when on Wi-Fi (same network)
Tailscale shows both devices as connected/online
iPhone can ping devices in tailnet
Firewall disabled on Windows (tested)
What DOESN’T work:
When iPhone is on cellular (5G/LTE), Open WebUI times out completely
Same Tailscale IP used as on Wi-Fi
No page load, just hangs or eventually times out
Tailscale still shows “connected” on both devices
Things I already tried:
Restarted PC + iPhone
Reinstalled / reset Tailscale
Disabled Windows firewall completely (test)
Verified Docker port mapping (-p 3000:8080)
Tried direct IP access (100.x.x.x)
Disabled iOS “Limit IP Address Tracking”
Confirmed Tailscale cellular data permission is enabled
Undid Windows debloating tweaks (Chris Titus Tech script)
Key symptom:
Everything works on Wi-Fi, but completely fails on cellular only, even though Tailscale remains connected and devices appear online.
My suspicion:
Feels like something in the VPN routing / cellular path / Tailscale data plane is failing only on mobile networks, but I can’t isolate it further.
Question:
Has anyone seen Tailscale connect successfully on iOS but fail to actually pass traffic over cellular only? Or Open WebUI specifically timing out over tailnet on mobile data?
Any ideas appreciated — I’m out of things to try.
