Im fucked, but I’m trying to do something better

29, alcoholic, life long line cook, lover of music. Never had a band but always dreamt of it. I’m a rhythm guitarist, if anyone wants to share some ideas with me, I’m all ears. I’m trying my absolute fucking best to change my direction

Going from a 1070ti to a 5070ti… from 1080p to a 1440p monitor.. how shocked am I going to be?

I’ve never even played on anyone else’s pc that had a better GPU than my 1070ti..

Rick potion #9 is still the best episode of all time and what made Rick and Morty, what it is.

Just watched it again, the ending never gets old. When the credits roll while Mazzy Star keeps playing.. I always sit there feeling depressed. No other show or movie has done that to me

Dead end job..

Car is most likely going to get repo’d someday soon, taking the bus everyday, haven’t drove myself around in months. Lonely as fuck in Buffalo (terrible city to be in).. staying strong I think, I have a fuck it sort of mentality. I always think about what could be worse, but that doesn’t help what’s happening currently in my mind. Anyone else here a line cook, toughing this shit out.

For the non pick strummers..

I’m just curious, for those of you who don’t usually use a pick (I do sometimes) have you ever gotten so deep into a jam to the point your finger bleeds? I ripped my finger up lately, it’s not the first time.. my index to be specific.

Alcohol destroys us

How many of you buy shooters and drink them before work, also drinking the moment you wake up for the day?

I used to think it would give me energy. Now..

A shoutout to those who keep their cool.

I’ve been working in restaurants for 11 years now.. started at 18 and I’m 29 now. I’ve always felt like I’ve been the odd one out for not being an asshole.

I’m tired of walking in and being friendly, saying “hi, Goodmorning, good afternoon, only to be met with “you’re working this station today.”

I’m tired of my KM’s relentlessly tear the expo and servers down because they ask for simple items that they themselves have missed.

I’m tired of the rules for thee but not for me attitudes. (I have to say behind to 5 guys to grab my fucking water and leave the line, while KM has his next to him)

I’m tired of assholes who gab all day long, show up late everyday, and don’t get fired.

I’m tired of making a single mistake and that’s the reason why I have a shitty schedule the following week. No one is ever acknowledged for what they do well, only punished for what they do wrong.

Most importantly, I’m tired of not being treated like a damn human being, lol. I know this applies to almost every job.. but yeah.. would it kill some people to at least pretend and be happy sometimes?

I have so many more under my belt, but I’d rather have a few drinks after this hellish day. Please give me every thing you’ve got as well. Being a cool headed person on the line. Cheers everyone
