What's the whole Mike Rinder "betrayal" story about?

After forgetting about Scientology for the last 15 years or so I went on a recent rabbit hole dive and one of the things I saw popping up were various videos, including from other former Scientologist who now campaign against the organisation, such as Jenna Miscavige and the guy that does the "Growing Up in Scientology" channel - criticising Mike Rinder as "betraying the victims of Scientology through silence", "throwing other ex-Scientologists under the bus and so on.

Given the extent of paid misinformation that comes from the organisation itself I'm struggling to get a grasp on this one and who to believe on it. Any tips?

Terrible noise/artefacting via VGA on new DC - ideas?

Hey guys, recently got my first Dreamcast from Japan, added a GDEmu and a DreamPSU, just hooked it up for the first time with a VGA cable ordered from Aliexpress and there is terrible noise/artefacting that I can’t remove with any calibration or setting changes on the RetroTink 4K it’s plugged into.

Is this likely a cable issue or a Dreamcast issue? I’m pretty sure the RT4K is fine.

Electric grills?

Hey guys, looking for options to make yakitori indoors ie. with an electric grill. I see that yakitoriguy has one that he uses in some of his videos, but I can't find the model name etc.

Anyone have any recommendations? I know it's missing out on a lot smokey flavour but if it's good enough for yakitoriguy now and then it's gonna be good enough for me.

I think I might have a stone, for the last 1-2 weeks I keep getting brief episodes of intense, sharp pain but it's more or less in my hip - as in right on the lateral side of my hip joint and back, not really on the front or radiating anywhere else. The episodes last a few seconds and occur 3-6 times per day, and don't seem to be related to moving my hip and there's no pain when I press on the area, but it is definitely much more common when lying flat in bed at the end of the day.

No blood or other urinary symptoms and I otherwise feel well. It could just be joint pain but it feels so different to any joint pain I've felt before, it has that sudden intense sharp pinpoint pain that is classic of a stone (even though I have not had one before).

Anyone else had a kidney stone where the pain is primarily hip based?

It seems like bypassing HDCP has actually gotten a lot harder rather than easier in recent years. Few/none of the splitters that previously seemed to be able to do this, that are typically sold on Amazon etc., seem to work anymore.

Can anyone point towards anything that reliably works? Does your PS3 model matter at all?

I remember pining over this game before it released, thinking it looked awesome, and even fairly enjoying a demo, but when it released I seem to recall it getting a pretty negative reaction from both press and players.

Now I see it’s cited often here as one of the best PS3 exclusives. Is this nostalgia talking or was it genuinely a hidden gem?

▲ 3 r/Sake

Hey guys, recently visited an upmarket izakaya in my country and tried a sake called "Jikon Aiyama", a Junmai Ginjo. It was the most delicious sake I have ever tried, with distinctly tropical fruity notes and very smooth.

Problem: a bottle costs $430AUD (over 300USD).

Can anyone recommend cheaper sakes with a similar profile? Bonus points if you know it's available in Aus.
