What does natural labour and waters breaking on their own feel like

Hi! Sorry if the title doesn't make sense I'm a bit tired and I've got baby puree for brains at the minute lol.

Basically I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my 3rd, I had inductions with my last two and both of those times the midwife broke my waters. With this pregnancy I don't think I'm going to get induced or have my waters break by a midwife so honestly I don't know what to expect, I feel like a first time mum.

What does it feel like when your waters break? How fast does labour start after your waters break?, I know with my second it was instant but that was with help with balloons and hormone gel.

I know everyone's pregnancy is different but it would really help my anxious ass to read some postive stories or read some good advice lol. Thankyou in advance ☺️

Braxton hicks are beginning to hurt like contractions

Hey, I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I've been having Braxton Hicks for about a week now, before it was mild and bearable but in the last 2 days the tighting has gotten worse and so has the pain. Ive tried everything to help it but I'm getting quite concerned. I've got a midwife appointment on the 20th and I'm just wondering if it's stupid of me to leave it until my appointment or if I should go in as soon as I am able to.

Is this normal?

Hi I'm 29 weeks and I'm currently very concerned and anxious at the minute. I know reddit isn't really the place to go but I can't get in touch with my midwife and I have no one to ask, my parents away on holiday and my boyfriend is away for work.

This morning I woke up with a mild period cramps, nothing to alarming but as time went on the pain and aching became really bad I was doubled over. I took a bath the pain went a little but now it's come back and now my bump feels really tight like I've just eaten a full roast dinner and I'm about to pop. I feel the baby kicking like normal.

I'm just concerned because even though this is my third I've never felt anything like this before is this a normal feeling or should I be worried.

edit: I'm currently in my maternity unit, I was sick in the waiting room so I'm currently getting monitored. the midwifes are saying it's most likely Braxton Hicks

When did you tell people the name you've chosen

Hi, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and I've still haven't told anyone the name that me and my partner has chosen and honestly I kinda don't want to until the baby has been born.

Is this a weird thing to do? I have been having alot of pressure from my mother in law to tell her a name and it's stressing me out everytime I see her she always asks even though I've told her that she'll get to know when the baby is born, she just looked at me weird.

Has anyone else waited until the baby was born to tell everyone the name or when did you tell them?

Struggling with my mental health

I'm 25 weeks today and these past 2 days I've been crying non stop, I've been feeling like a failure, I'm walking around like a whale. The house is a mess, I've got no help my husband is out all day working doing manual labor which is taking a toll on his body, he's exhausted every time he comes back home. I'm running after a 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year old all day, I usually get breaks when they go to nursery but it's the holidays and I'm struggling to find things that'll entertain them.

Every time I'm doing house jobs I feel like I'm neglecting them. I wanted to go on walks and day trips with them but I've been struggling so hard to walk recently. It makes me really depressed. I want to talk to my husband about it all but I just feel like someone has just stole my tongue and voice box and I can't talk, like it's physical impossible for me to talk about this. And then he talks about how much pain he's in then I feel if I do say anything I'd feel like another burden.

I'm sorry to vent like this I just needed to get it of my chest. It sucks because last week I was the opposite, I was so happy and motivated, I cleaned out all the rooms in the house and now I just feel like a big massive failure.

Who are these creepypastas?

Right so I was really into creepy pastas when I was little and I've recently stumbled across a picture I must've drew years and years ago. My guess is the white face person is Jeff the killer but I have no idea who the other 2 are.

Looking for some movies similar to the cornetto trilogy or just some good comedy movies

Hey just as the title says. if you're not familiar with the cornetto trilogy, it's basically 3 movies with simon pegg and nick frost in it Shaun of the dead, hot fuzz and my favorite the worlds end!

Or if you've got any good comedy movies you'd like to suggest I'm happy the hear them

Yours sincerely, a bored, pregnant mum wanting to have a good laugh

I'm insecure with the size of my bump

Hey, I'm 5 months pregnant with my 3rd and my bump has grown massively, I'm already at the size I was with my first 2 in the 3rd trimester, I'm just feeling really insecure about how big I'm getting I'm also scared about how big I am going to get in the future.

I just have to remind myself that this baby is the only baby with a healthy normal weight as my other 2 were both on the lower side of things. Sometimes it's though, I don't really like looking myself in the mirror, i feel like an elephant when I walk and the pain I'm getting is way worse than last time.

Anyways sorry to vent 😅 just gotta focus on what really matters and that's I'm going to have a healthy baby boy and I can't wait to cuddle him! 💓💓

What's it like having 3 kids?

I'm currently 5 months pregnant with my 3rd, I've got 2 daughters, my eldest is 3 in August and my second daughter is 1. I'm currently having some anxieties about looking after 3 young kids, I know it's going to be chaos for the first few months just as we all get settled in our new routine. But i just wanna know if it's not going to chaos all the time and things will get better 😅 also if you've got any advice that'll be greatly appreciated thankyou

I'm scared to turn 25

I'm currently 22f and I'm absolutely dreading turning older, I've always hated growing up ever since I was younger. I'm scared of getting wrinkles and looking older, getting taller and basically just turning into an adult. I'm scared that I won't be found desirable or loved especially by my boyfriend. I'm scared that he'll do a Leonardo dicaprio on me and break up with me as soon as I turn 25.

There's alot of pressure for women to stay and look young nowadays in my opinion anyways, I get a sense that if you turn a certain age you are no longer attractive or desirable. It fucking sucks tbh, that I've fallen into a mindset of being young and youthful means you're beautiful. I hate it.

Struggling with boy names

Just found out we're having a boy and we're stuck on names, we've got two daughters called iyla and skye. We've got one name on our list so far and that's Arthur but I'm not sure. I like some suggestions that have a similar vibe to Arthur or any nature names too. Thankyou! 😊

I need help with bad intrusive thoughts

Ever since I was young, around age 10, (I'm now 22) I've been thinking about death, I think about people who i care about like family and friends dieing and I think about my death alot too. The thing is these thoughts just come to me at random times and I can't stop it. I play it out in my head, like for example I think about my friend dieing in a car crash then i think about how I would react to that news and how I would feel or what will I say. It gets to the point where I'm actually grieving and crying over something that thankfully hasn't happened.

This is really affecting me, I've tried to stop it for years but I just can't. I feel like an absolute horrible peice of poop for thinking such bad things about people I love and care about. Has anyone else experienced these types of thoughts? Any advice or kind words are really appreciated, thankyou 😊

Am I the only one feeling extremely sad that I can't feel the kicks yet?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with my third baby and I must admit my emotions have been like a roller-coaster this time around. I'm currently feeling really sad, anxious and paranoid that something is wrong with my baby because I haven't felt anything yet. And it doesn't help that the last scan i had my baby was being stubborn and didn't want to move so the scanner person could do the right measurements.

Am I being really stupid for getting upset over this? I'm just sat anxiously waiting for something to happen, my next scan appointment cannot come soon enough. I just wanna know everything is ok in there.

My parents always walked in the bathroom whilst I was in the shower

Ever since I was old enough to take showers by myself, my parents always just walk in the bathroom and use the toilet like I'm not even there. I did tell them multiple times to knock of just put a lock on the door but they always dismissed it as just me being dramatic. Now I've moved out and have kids of my own I cannot even imagine doing that to my kids.

I spent most of my time thinking this was normal but I know now that me feeling uncomfortable in my own home is not normal, me feeling exposed and always feeling like someone was watching me is not normal. I hate how they just normalized this behavior, it honestly makes me wanna cry.

Also off topic but thinking about it now my family normalized being naked/beingseen naked, especially my older brother and farther, they were always naked and I always seemed like I was the only one bothered about it.

They also never shut the bathroom door while they were on it and the toilet is directly up the stairs so if you just look up the stairs you'll see them on the toilet, and they'll use the excuse of the door wont shut properly. but that still doesn't mean you can leave it fully wide open so everyone can see, you'd make an effort and close it so we can't see you doing your business.

I'm glad i moved out.
