How to make the output of my Bolt v3 match the app?

How to make the output of my Bolt v3 match the app?

I just got a Bolt and I noticed that when I finished a workout, the information shown to me at a glance is different whether I recorded the activity using the Wahoo app or the Bolt v3, and I expect them to be the same. Here are screenshots:

Output of activity recorded with Wahoo app. Calories shown

Activity recorded with Bolt. the calories are missing and replaced by elevation instead

I want to see the Calories like they show when recorded via the Wahoo app, instead of having to hunt a tiny bit of text hidden inside the HR section. Is there a way to change this?

You only get to choose one, but which one?

The first thing I have to say is that it is not an option to keep them all.

So I have the following three turntables:
- Technics SL-D30
- Technics SL-1300
- A/D/S Atelier P2

I can only keep one because space is an issue.

SL-D30

The first one is easy to discard compared to the other two, I like it but it's just really bog standard.

P2

The P2 is an absolutely lovely design piece, museum-worthy even, but what if the original cartridge it has now on goes bad? Replacing it with an alternative or hunting an original would be a problem.

SL-1300

There's not much to fault about the 1300, it's sturdy AF and parts can be found easily, but it's just not as cool looking. More of a workhorse.

I am split between the 1300 and the P2. Which one would you go for?

"Keep the app running for the best ELEMNT experience" notification pops up every time I close the Wahoo app. How do I get rid of this annoying shit?

I GOT THE MESSAGE, why does it keep telling me this EVERY time I close the Wahoo app, now that I got a Bolt? Is there really no way to turn it off? I went through the settings and did not see an option about it.

Any backpacks similar to the Montbell Cycool 20 that I can buy in the US?

I really liked this backpack and regret not grabbning one when I saw it in Japan but I really couldn't carry it back at the time. I thought I'd be able to find a similar US counterpart, alas, I seem to fail finding anything that comes remotely close to it, most of them seem to focus on being able to carry a hydration pack.

I really liked the bit of wire that keeps the back of the backpack away from your back, so you don't sweat your back too much.

Any ideas? Besides me going to Japan again to get it (very tempting 😂)

Any local place to get some custom cut decals made for my bike?

I want to put some decals on my bike that need a cutter and I am not going to buy a Cricut just to do this once.

Any recommended local shops that can make me the right decals for my bike?

Am I wrong not wanting to go clipless?

I've never quite liked the idea of clipless pedals and I never used them in my life. Although I have rode bikes for most of my life, only now I am considering things like randonneuring and getting more "serious", but I still don't feel like getting a clipless setup.

Am I actually ruining capacity that much not using them? It always felt like it was a bit exaggerated by people focused on speed and racing, but on endurance, they don';t seem (to me) that relevant. Please educate me (nicely, I'm new to randonneuring).

X3 bricked after power off? there is no support to contact

I just turned off my X3 to change the battery, popped the battery off, put the other battery in and when I tried to power it up, it will NOT come on. I tried all the steps, removing the battery, the card, nothing. When I plug the Insta X3 to power without a battery, the light flashes red, but as soon as I press the power button, the light goes off and nothing comes on screen.

I don't know what happened or how to resuscitate this machine and I don't want to be charged who knows what for sending it in without knowing what is wrong with it

"New Commodore" is another trademark scam.

"New Commodore" is a trademark owner, nothing more, nothing less. That means they do not develop or in any way build any kind of product, hardware or otherwise. All they can do is license their trademarks to slap them on an already existing product. That is the case with the Ultimate 64 and the disposable chinese piece of junk flip phone they just announced.

I get it that nostalgia is a powerful drug, but this is just crazy, and this guy has done the exact same thing the trademark owners were lambasted for in the early 2000s. I am assuming all of y'all were alive and kicking around in the year 2000 to remember the number of stupid ass products with a "Commodore' brand that were made? Even the WEB64 kind of looks better in comparison to a damn flip phone.

The direction this is taking should be enough to deter anyone from buying any product from them, that includes the 64 Ultimate, but I know you're not going to do it, and you're going to keep getting shoved shitty products you don't want, like the phone, shrouded in a mysterious marketing lingo to make it seem like Commodore creates products, is some sort of factory or even has a research and development arm to it. Because you empower trademark trolls like this with your hard-earned cash.

Supporting this kind of endeavor can only hurt the real C64 scene, that which has been maintained and championed by all the developers and hobbyists that did it since the C64 "died" back then, and who had no need for a youtuber to splice themselves in the middle with their trademark ownership. When the trademark owner starts to get desperate for ROI that they will start hunting down hobbyists due to trademark issues, what's it gonna be?

Reading what most of you thought would be announced today is really weird. Why are most of you so detached from reality?

Can you put a modchip in an OLED Switch regardless of which firmware version they are running?

I am considering chipping my OLED Switch but am not sure if you need to have the unit running a certain firmware in order for the chip to work. Is this a thing or does it not matter?

Octatrack users: do you use a MIDI controller with it? Which?

I would love to ad a MIDI contgroller conencted to each channel's volume and other parameters, but it doens't seem like there's much out there that would work and/or wouldn't cost a fortune like Faderfox's offerings.

Most controllers nowadays seem to be only USB, and I am not sure if having a USB host to MIDI DIN would work satisfactorily.

So what are people using? Is the USB Host-DIN option viable?

Virus factory patches extracted from ROMs 📂

Seems like for whatever reason this isn't all available in one place and people have not shared it around, so I decided I'd give it a go and see what happens. Turns out, Osirius is a great tool for this kind of job, and it helped me extract all factory patches that came with the official Access firmware updates downloaded from virus.info.

I didn't sit down to question the content or inspect it in any way, I just extracted the patches found on the update files, exported them in groups of 128 and tested a bunch of them on my Virus TI using Virus Control. I am not sure if Access released different factory patches with different OS revisions, just in case, I labeled each folder with the OS version the patches came from. I doubt this is a complete collection of patches, but it's a start. Maybe someone else can contribute what's missing, and I'll be happy to add it to this folder.

Anyway, get the stuff here, either as an archive of all, or individually:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KzVqxq-y3T2LA7eaa0KM6bLRM8HLhwwT?usp=sharing

Banks for:
Access Virus A
Access Virus B
Access Virus C
Access Virus Classic
Access Virus Rack XL

Anybody preordering an Arcstation or waiting it out?

I just got a japanese PS1 and after trying Terryhax it seems like my laser is on its way out because it wouldn't read a single backup, so the inevitable has gotten a bit more urgent and am thinking of just plonking on a preorder for one of these, but am unsure about it because this is a new player in the scene and I kinda wanna see what early adopters have to say about the device first.

So will you get one? Preorder now or wait until some people got their hands on one?

New to Virus! Is this DSP overload?

I just got this TI desktop and ran into this problem when browsing through the presets.
I could still like play the demo song but the high opit6ched noise won't leave. The noise is only on headphones/ main output, the other two outputs dont produce the noise. Volume knob does not change the volume of the noise

Only solution is to turn the synth off and back on.

Current HD mod user, is it worth changing to a SIO2SD ?

I am quite happy with my Fat PS2 setup but there are a few problems with it, mainly the damn noise the hard drive makes, and that I still have an IDE drive there. Changing to a SATA SSD plus SATA adapter was what I was thinking of doing, but I saw this MX4SIO from bitfunx that you can use now to read games off the memory card, and I wonder if it's worth just swapping to that setup?

Game management with an HDD mod is also a bit of a pain, if I can just drag and drop disc images with an SD2SIO it would be so much more convenient.

What's the community's take? Worth changing? Keep the HDD? Update to a SATA SDD instead?
