How should i go about restoring this?

First off, Im a total soldering noob. I do analog camera repair as a pasttime hobby and this ancient PCB had battery corrosion over part of it. Cleaned that off but how do i go about this now? Should i remove all the old solder and do it all new? Or only redo the black parts and solidify others that became weak overtime?

This board is from a praktica mtl 3 btw, made in the 60s or 70s presumably.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and help out a newbie 🙏

How do you store your open cameras?

[SOLVED] I'm working on repairing an SLR and I got a second working one also open and on my desk (atm covered underneath mircrofiber cloth) as a point of reference. But i'm at a bit of a loss where I should keep these if I am not in my workshop, mostly out of fear of dust getting on the shutter blades or on the mirror or even prism! How do you store them (dustfree)? This microfiber cloth solution also isn't really great..

Thanks for your time and have a great rest of your day!

Created these logos based on fish species for fun!

Had these images/stamps in my "for art" map for a while now and decided to put in some logo-design practice while I was at it. Quite happy with them, considering i haven't made a single logo for the past year haha.

Artwork is by me, made in Adobe Illustrator. No AI was used.

Photos are with Canon EOS 60D at the Burgers Zoo in Arnhem, Netherlands. Filter i created specifically for these shots.

Galaxia Cabins: by Travellers, for Travellers!

For us Travellers, the concept of "home" has no meaning. "Home" doesn't exist for us.

We Travellers are always exploring, trading, commanding, surviving, fighting, moving at the speed of light, we are always on the move.

But sometimes you just need a safe place to crash down, forget about everything and relax. Chill out. Recharge.

That is why Galaxia Cabins is building an ever expanding range of cabins, motels, resorts and hotels across Euclid. Each offers comfort to Travellers who pass by, all completely free of charge.

We hope that one day, wherever your journey takes you, you'll stumble upon a Galaxia Cabin when you need it most.

But until then, safe travels, Traveller.

The wind howls victory! - Whirlwind Race and Stormprism Class! - Skylanders 5e

Had a lot of fun designing and imagining how the Whirlwind Skylander would translate into a class/subclass and race. Really happy with the results.

The wind howls victory! - Whirlwind adapted to Dungeons and Dragons!

Took some creative liberties when it comes to the names of the race and imagining of the lore. But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! Next up is Drobot :)

Looking for playtesters for Skylanders-DnD!

As some of you may know, I am working on adapting Skylanders to Dungeons And Dragons 5e. Before I was just working on monsters and items and stuff but now I'm working on the actual Skylanders and their classes.

Their pretty finnicky when it comes to balance and rulings and everything, so I am looking for playtesters. Sessions will be held in our Discord server. That is also where you will find the files to everything I have created so far.

If you want to help out or get more information, feel free to join the discord: https://discord.gg/Udchn86Cqq

(for mods: Hey, this link and discord was already cleared in the past with my Arkeyan's Post.)

3D printed and painted these Rock Walkers for my DnD Campaign!

Next session is coming Wednesday and finally painted them! Very happy with the results.

My party is on a quest to infiltrate a castle run by an evil Seadog named Mayor Bonkers, who is sacking villages and also they were send there to kill him because a bigger villain asked them to, because the party wasn't strong enough to kill that bigger villain. They found a Lava King (here some kind of god) and convinced him to aid them, so these Rock Walkers are friendly haha.

I can DM the STL file if anyone is interested in that. :)

Ready to Rumble! This is how I adapted Eruptor from Skylanders to a race and class in 5e!

Excited to share this new class, with the most creative features yet! Already went through some changes but this is definitely a class that needs some playtesting. Hopefully I will be able to do that soon.

Bash your enemies to Pulp! Race and Class based on the Skylander Bash

I tried to stay close to the in-game version. Wrote this some time back and haven't read the whole thing since, but I do remember it being finished!

Developed a roll found in a camera with no cannister

Story time!

I buy a lot of analog camera lots for repair projects and I quite often encounter filmrolls inside them. Usually I note the shot it was at and rewind them back. If they are not fully shot, I put them in the freezer to shoot the remaining shots and then develop, or if full I just put them in the fridge to develop at some point.

So I was very suprised that, after I checked the rewind knob of a Zenit E and found no friction, I opened the back on my workbench and found film rolled up into the take-up spool. I immediately closed it. Later in the dark bag I found the sprocket holes badly ripped up, like absolutely torn. Someone must have just absolutely forced it through and then maybe them or someone later along the line removed the now free cannister but left the film inside, for some godforsaken reason.

So I considered just taking the film out and not bothering, it was probably opened up many times before me, spoiling the shots. But then I remembered how tightly wound the film is on the takeup-spool and that some images deeper on the roll should stay fine. And I recently (finally) aquired a basic black and white developing starting set, so I figured this roll and another I found with ripped sprockets would be the perfect 2 to figure out this whole self-developing thing.

Originally the roll was a colourfilm but I dev-ed it in black and white chems, adonal. I used stand developing for 75 minutes, then stopbath 10 min, fix 10 min and then clean. Afterwards I realized I didn't correctly dry off the first drops of water while hanging to dry, so you can see some water stains still, but the film itself is just also very very old.

But man what a joy to see images on this roll! And such incredibally cute photos too! I was fully prepared for the whole roll to have been exposed, though still more then half was lost.

The first image is chronologically actually the 6th.
On the mostly black shots you can still see a very very faint outline of the rest of the photo. I'm guessing that they are pictures posing with the kid. The last two photos took me some time to figure out, but their part of the ceiling. You can see part of the chandelier on the right. Maybe they let the kid take those last 2.

I assume they were taken somewhere in the UK, since that is where I bought this camera lot from. The electrical outlet also seems to be from there, with the switch next to it. Unsure where to date it, somewhere before the 90s atleast.
-----------

Thanks for reading. Very interesting experience and super satisfying, honestly can't wait to start developing the other 10+ rolls I have in my fridge.

First time trying this kind of post-processing [OC]

I can't really describe the feeling this image gives me, mostly it reminds me of the paintings by Edward Hopper. With the physical distance between the viewer and other humans, very far away from social interaction.

Shot digitally with Canon EOS 60D.
