Gary Barlow, 55, announces 'with a heavy heart' he cannot repeat Circus tour for a third time due to age-related challenges as he says he 'physically can't do this show again'

End of The Circus Tour 2026

How are we all feeling that this tour could have been Gary's last "Circus" tour and what wider effects it might have on the band going forward?

BBC Reporting and the Makerfield Reporting

I'm not sure if anyone has caught the BBC's reporting on the result just a few moments ago, but the absolute delusion from them is immense. Reform has literally came second, which still shows a movement is happening whether you like it or not in the UK and could still sweep the next general election. The sheer ignorance is absolutely ridiculous.

Also, how is it "clearly a victory" and "defying the national trend" when people are already debating that Andy only won because people wanted Keir out. Much like voting Labour in the first place to get the Conservatives out.

Edit: Originally I referred to 59% of the electorate turn out. However, I merely suggested that the remaining 41% could change the overall outcome through conversations behind closed doors or lived experience. Even if they aren't currently active engagers in the electoral process. But I guess nuance is a lost cause these days. I may just delete this post if it completely keeps missing the point that it's no way indicative of how the next general election will go and some wider victory for Labour as the BBC made it out to be. It could. But when considering the May locals, unlikely.

What Christmas Item(s) Have You Wanted From Another Country?

Good day to you all! I have a question, which I hope people can use in the months/weeks running up to the big day later this year!

What is something you have always wanted from another country that you could never get for Christmas or finally managed to snag. For example, if you live in the US but always wanted a Fortnum and Mason Christmas Hamper from the UK or Maybe that Snow Globe from Macey's? What about an authentic Tree Decoration from a German Christmas Market or just a Limited Edition Christmas Thermos from Starbuck's in South Korea?

I really hope this is a fun conversation and also a way to bring people together as well inspire those Christmas shopping lists (even if import costs will be dire!)

What Has Happened to this Fandom in the Past Week

I've been watching many whotubers who a while now and regardless of your stance have had absolute vitriol sent to The Confused Adipose in the comments, as well as Ellie of WhoCulture even if she got things wrong, Tharries has been called explicitly discriminatory language for his disability by other "fans" and there are two very inflammatory critics of the show who are live right now, which I wont link to avoid promoting them but many will know, being racist and sexist, and during pride month as well, and this seems like the norm now judging by their live chats going along with it!?

I only bring this up as my earlier post was mentioned in Adipose's video and the toxicity for what is essentially a TV show is now growing in the world and I don't like where it is going?

Even if the show is off air right now, surely the messages in the series meant something, but I guess not... because if this is how fans are going to be going forward, not only will no-one want to be apart of it, makers won't want to make shows for it.

Edited for Grammar Errors, Second Edit, the fact when this was initially posted it was getting downvoted so much when all I wanted to put across was a little diplomacy and understanding just made me further upset.

Doctor Who Cancellation - Disinformation, Clickbait and Echo Chambers

BBC Source

The BBC have been kind enough to give clarity to us Doctor Who fans finally!

All of the storm that has been swirling around the internet is nothing more than disinformation, fake news and other fans creating an echo chamber!

Or who are personally against the show, the makers and are just anti-BBC!

So the next time somebody says the series is cancelled, you can link them this lovely BBC article!

BBC Four Rubbing it IN!

This might be a little obscure to the international community, but to those in the UK, on BBC Four they just aired an episode of Top of the Pops which at the Top of the programme had this classic for anyone old enough to remember it - quite possibly the last Doctor Who tangentially related thing on the BBC for a while now... yeesh let the good times continue in the meantime though, until what will be Doctor NewNewNewNeWho, whenever it eventually chooses to return (should it do so)!!

Edited - See Reason Below!

What TV Show from another country should be given "Honorary British Telly Citizenship"

Thought it would be an interesting question to ask what shows from anywhere else in the world, that you have seen, either on the UK on something like Walter Presents - or - whilst travelling abroad for example, and bought back physical media of to watch back at home ect. That should be given "Honorary British Telly Citizenship" status, as a show that should be shown on British Telly and have everyone know about it - OR - is a show from a different country, but is what you consider "popular" amongst many brits already and worthy of the title!

Don't worry too much about ratings, this is one of those "mood of the room questions" based on you and your social circle!

Oh, and I will say it, those from Scotland, Wales and Ireland who are disgruntled about some gems that the BIG broadcasting PSBs may have overlook(ed) on STV, RTE and other regional variants (such as BBC Scotland and Alba*) over the years, will get a free "reparation" pass, redeemable only for good reasons! It still needs to be good telly!

Note - Do try to check for duplicates, just to make it less chaotic!

What do we think the Cbeebies series will be about?

I'm calling it now. It's going to be DuggaDoo. He's only character who was not shown on screen being rescued at the end of The Intergalactic Song Contest, so he'll just land on a planet or float between worlds by lifting away his suction cups and noping out of gravity and departing on toward a new world of adventure and merchandising opportunities. Before DuggaDoing what ever he be Duggadoing.

That or like the Muppet Babies it'll be "Tecteun Babies!" with all the little children she's experimenting on in order to administer the gift of regeneration to in an adorable little creche! Just use WandaVision logic to overlook Tecteun's actions, alright? Russell did say he loved Marvel after all...!

Not forgetting the age range of course that this is targeted for. I expecting light topics like, shapes, colours, ṯ̷̢̛̛̯̩̝́̔̈́͋́͒̀̎́̾͘h̶̢̧̲̹̱̻̰͚̰̯̥̞̋̃̾͗͑͒͠ȩ̸͚̱̲͔͇̥̰̰̈́̓̓͠͝͝ ̵̧̨̢̛̗͙̖̲͎̺̉̈̄͛̾̾́́͘͠s̴̰̞̀̀̈́̔̇̆̄̂͊̽i̷͚͇̤̤͖̱͍̅͌̍̆͌̽̄̚͠l̵͉̼̭͉̳̟̮͎̞̭̬̋̋̉̒́͂̌̇͛̍̚̕ͅe̴̢͍̗̪͔̳̜̓n̸̨̧̻̻̖̼̜̯͚͙̖̞̎̍͛̽̋̈́͜c̷̨̡͈̣̩̙̤̞̬̘͈̠̝͈̉̂́͌̃̂̇̔͂͠͝͝ͅe̵̻͇̫͓̱̳̙͉͙̙͙̮͌̕ and friendship, all of the things the main show, Doctor Who embodies!

But anyway, what are your thoughts!?

Top of the Pops Millennium Special & 2000s Listings Schedule.

For those who are fans of the show, or, for two very special weekends only, want to relive the excitement of the Millennium (hopefully without the bugs) they can!

Friday 19th June at 7pm on BBC Four will be the Christmas 1999 Special. These were the tracks we danced and partied into a new era with, and now is your chance to relive them.

Listing Source

But if you want to feel the Part II as it were you can join the series as it finally moves into the 2000s the following Friday 26th June, same time, same channel!

Listing Source

It is also worth noting, with the BBC weighing up which channels will stay, and which will go with the Royal Charter renewal, this might be the only chance to see these moments of television history again, 26 years after the Millennium happened. So you might want to get the friends and family around for a truly historical piece of pop culture airing once again on the BBC!

Just a moment to realised, we've been here before...

Taken from the Doctor Who The Movie Steelbook 4K UHD UK release. Distributed only last month. I think this clip really speaks volumes with regards to how producers think and how we have been here before.

This is taken from the on Disc bonus "The Wilderness Years"

Apologies for spelling mistake in title!

Lux Teletubbies Theory.

Look now bear with me. I'm on to something, I just know it.

The Master was The BOSS all along, his MASTERplan was to use his inspiration of Teletubbies with the help of Lux to manipulate The Doctor into being trapped in the fictional universe of his creation - The Television Universe. This is why TVs play a big part in Wish World/Reality War finale.

Making the "cancelled Christmas special" all meta, all a conspiracy wooOooOoOOO. So, the Christmas Special, now gone right? So if the "TV Doctor" is trapped, no one can stop him. The MASTER WINS! The plot became the real, much like LUX. So Russell being all genius and that has just been hiding THE REAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL FROM US ALL LONG RIGHT? RIGHT?

Oh! And the deep metacommentary on how #ripduggadoo is a metaphor for how the REAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL ENDS, where we tie back to the Teletubbies and their TV tummies, and the Doctor saying -

"I always knew with enough TV everything eats itself in the end" as a metafour for fandom, life, the universe and everything. Billie Piper then becomes the TARDIS, David climbs inside and they fly off together ready for WARAMOUNBAPPLEDISNAMCFLIXZON TO TAKE OVER THE SHOW!

Source

Edit: Also here's some math. "The Boss" is the villain's name. A penchant for BABY shows... Where have we seen this before? THAT'S RIGHT, BOSS BABY in 2017. Another deep and sociophysioanamentalyical commentary of FILM AND TV by the genius that is RUSSELL T DAVIES and it's deeper contextual meaning in the sociatahiarachukikical structruingnormilatude of life. Truly such a visionary...

Advice - Back Lens Protection for Redmagic 11(s) Pro

Hi there, I was looking for some guidance from any 11 or 11s Users as to whether or not having lens protectors for the back camera of the phone are worth it in your opinions, and if so, any recommendations. I've had the run around with the mandatory Amazon, Aliexpress and eBay listings, but I'm not getting anywhere so I thought I'd post here for some nuggets of wisdom, thx!

What is your "Christmas Call To Action" each year?

Hi there, as titled, what is your first signs of the festive season rearing its head each year?

  • Is it something you do, like budgeting for that big purchase or food order?
  • Maybe you have kids and they start flipping through the catalogue or adding to their wishlists?
  • Or is the it fact that Aunt Pam is flying in this year and she need to know when to book the Airplane tickets?

As we're mid-year now I thought this would be an interesting topic and I'd love to hear from you all!

What is your most controversial YouTube opinion(s)?

As titled, what is your most controversial "I will die on this hill" opinion(s) about the site YouTube.

  • If you talk about content creators, why are they a bugbear, do they farm drama for clicks or are they bending the rules just for clicks?
  • If its the platform itself, how would you make it better? If ADs and AI are a problem, what are your suggested fixes?
  • Maybe its something your remember from the old days, like the rating system, messaging or customisation features that have been lost?

This is an open discussion, with all opinions welcome!

Question - What would an Alegria font face look like?

Before you start, I know this is like not just opening Pandora's Box, but then killing the last remaining hope inside of it, in fear of inspiring some hack over at Big Tech Industries.

But as a general question, what nightmarish aspects would a font face that embodies this style include?
