Indy's 1st Birthday!
This tiny little chaotic creature has completely changed my perspective on cats (I was strictly a dog person prior to adopting her). She has shown me that cats can be funny, affectionate, smart (she knows how to sit on command), full of personality and surprisingly loyal.
Over the past 10 months, she has become my little shadow, following me from room to room, including the bathroom. She yells at me if I don't hold her like a baby whenever I'm in the kitchen. We've become inseparable in just a few short months.
She has brought our family countless laughs and happy memories. I am so happy she's a part of our family and can't wait to see what other mischievous chaos she gets into in the years to come.
Happy 1st Birthday, Indy! 🥳
Background: After volunteering at the animal shelter all summer, my son and I decided we would start fostering. Our first foster, Indy, previously Eden, began when she was just 2 months old. Indy achieved her goal weight for her spay surgery in just a few weeks. Within minutes of returning her to the shelter for her surgery, we decided we wanted to keep her.
