Yo....Christoph Tilly!??

I had no idea who he was, but during todays game I kept noticing #50 on the court. Looks every bit of 7 foot but moves and dribbles with the speed and smoothness of a literal wing.

Where did this guy come from?? I know its just summer league so I watched his college tape...more of the same. Hope he becomes part of our team eventually..at least put him on the Blue. What are yalls thoughts? Did Mr Presti do it again??

Are Animal Path summons contract-eligible?

Could an Animal Path summon voluntarily enter a normal summoning contract with another ninja?

I've been thinking about an odd "what if" regarding the Rinnegan's Animal Path, and I'm curious whether there's anything in canon that explicitly rules this out.

We know that the Animal Path is unique because it can summon creatures without requiring a blood contract, unlike the standard Summoning Technique. Pain/Nagato summoned creatures like the multi-headed dog, giant bird, chameleon, etc., and they all had Rinnegan eyes while summoned, implying they were linked to or controlled by the Rinnegan in some way. Many also had black chakra receivers, suggesting they were connected to Nagato's chakra network.

What I don't know is:

  • Where these creatures actually come from (Earth? a summon realm? another dimension?).
  • Whether they're naturally occurring creatures that have just been modified by the Rinnegan (black receivers/rods and rinny eyes).
  • Whether they're fully conscious while under the Animal Path's control.
  • Whether they retain memories after that control ends.

Here's my hypothetical:

Let's assume the multi-headed dog is a real living creature (rather than something created by the Rinnegan), and let's assume another Rinnegan user like Sasuke can summon it using the Animal Path.

If Sasuke intentionally released his control over the dog while it was still physically present, restoring its free will (assuming that's even possible), is there anything in canon that would prevent that dog from voluntarily entering a normal blood contract with another ninja, such as Kiba?

In other words, I'm not asking whether Kiba could somehow steal the summon or bypass the Animal Path. I'm asking whether, once the creature is physically present and no longer under Rinnegan control, it could choose to form a standard summoning contract just like the toads, snakes, or slugs do.

As far as I can tell, I don't remember any canon statement saying Animal Path summons are forbidden from making contracts or that they're fundamentally different from other summoned creatures beyond the Rinnegan's ability to summon them without one.

Am I overlooking any manga panel, databook entry, or statement from Kishimoto that would make this impossible? Or is this simply one of those areas where canon never explains the mechanics closely enough to know for sure?

We have 1 SINGLE SF!!!

Crazy how we have no true SFs on the roster other than JDub. We didn't acquire a single SF on draft night, and after Dort is gone and Kenrich re-signs, I think we'll have 1 slot left on the team...but in Presti we trust, looking forward to see who he targets

Do yall want Jaylen Brown??

The title is self explanatory. Im an outsider but curious if yall think he could put yall on par with Thunder/Spurs in the west?

I think the Celtics missing on Giannis put themselves in a position where they HAVE to move JB to save face, meaning its possible they may accept a slight lowball

Now that yall have drafted Boozer to be the future, do you think GG starts looking for the exit? I think hes a starter caliber player...but that wont happen now in Memphis

This "Wemby Stopper" Tag Is Sooo Forced

Aday Mara got drafted less than 24 hours ago, and just because he was drafted by OKC, I'm seeing "Wemby Stopper" posted everywhere and its annoying because its so forced and unnecessary.

Since when does a Jusuf Nurkic archetype player (tall, slow, good passer) get seen as a Wemby Stopper? Now before his first game its like he's being set up to fail because they think he was drafted for the sole purpose of "stopping" Wemby.

If none of the of the 450 NBA players can do it, then why is a rookie (who's shorter AND much slower) already tagged with this?

What would Onsi Saleh Say??

If Sam Presti called, and wanted to give the Hawks:

-Aaron Wiggins

-Isaiah Joe

-#12 pick

-#17 pick

For:

-#8 pick

-Zaccharie Risacher

Do you laugh in his face, or do you take a minute to think?

Inquiring about Herb

I'm not a part of the Pelicans fandom, but what are your feelings about Herb. Do you trust his shooting potential? How available do you think he is, and if so, what's a reasonable trade value/package for him?

Is Andrew Wiggins Available? If so, What's a Realistic Trade Market Package/Price

Not part of the heat fandom, but I'm wondering how "untouchable" you all view Andrew Wiggins as. I can't get a read on how Pat or Heat fans view him...or what his trade market price would be. Help me out

SGA has the worst PR

I want SGA to find the PR firm Jordan had in the 90s and hire them. Its gotten so far out of hand.

Silver Lining: The Dynasty Path is Still Alive

Hear me out (and yes you can call this cope, but could still be true). It is possible that when all is said and done, us losing this year could lead to an even better future/dynasty run.

There were basically two paths here:

[Path 1: We win the championship.]

If OKC wins it all, I think there's a good chance Presti does what he did last offseason and largely stands pat. Not because he's complacent, but because it's hard to justify major changes when you're the defending champs. The message becomes, "Run it back."

The problem is that everyone else keeps improving. The West isn't standing still. Houston, San Antonio, Minnesota, Dallas, Denver, etc. are all looking for ways to get better.

------------------------------

[Path 2: What actually happened.]

Now there's pressure. The players have something to prove, but more importantly, Presti has every reason to be aggressive.

A Finals loss exposes weaknesses. It gives the front office justification to take bigger swings, whether that's moving up in the draft, consolidating assets, pursuing a star, or making roster changes that would've been difficult to justify after a title.

In a weird way, losing might create a stronger version of the Thunder than winning would've.

A championship probably leads to continuity. A Finals loss can lead to evolution.

That's why I think this loss could end up extending the championship window rather than shortening it.

----------------------

Remember, the Warriors losing in 2016 led to them getting KD (the best collection of talent on 1 team, ever).

Could a Juubi Fission Being Grow Back Into a Full Ten-Tails?

Hypothetically...

Let's say someone captured one of the Juubi fission beings from the Fourth Great Ninja War and sealed it inside a White Zetsu (which seems like a pretty compatible vessel).

Then they placed a Curse Mark on that White Zetsu, giving it a constant supply of absorbed nature energy.

Would the sealed fission being consume that nature energy and continue to grow stronger over time?

If so:

Is there a limit to how powerful it could become?

Would it eventually plateau?

Or, given an unlimited supply of nature energy, could it theoretically grow into something comparable to the original Ten-Tails?

The way I picture it is like taking a branch from a tree, planting it, and continuously feeding it nutrients until it eventually becomes a full-grown tree itself.

Am I completely off base lore-wise, or does this actually make sense within Naruto's rules?

(And yes... this is research for a fan manga I'm working on)

[TV Show Pitch] - Gotham: Due Process

“Gotham: Due Process” is a legal dramedy set in Gotham City, but instead of following Batman, it follows the exhausted, underfunded Gotham City Public Defender’s Office...who represent the people left in the wake of vigilantism: low-level henchmen, mentally ill offenders, and ordinary criminals arrested after encounters with a masked man no one officially acknowledges.

To the public, Batman is a savior. To these attorneys, he’s an ongoing constitutional crisis.

Every episode forces the office to navigate the legal fallout of living in a city that has quietly normalized extrajudicial violence. Evidence appears without warrants. Confessions are extracted under terrifying circumstances. Police reports contain impossible timeline gaps. Judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys all pretend this system still functions because Gotham would collapse if they admitted otherwise.

What begins as a grounded legal procedural gradually evolves into something larger, as they slowly uncover evidence that Gotham’s police department and District Attorney’s office have been secretly coordinating with the vigilante for years. The season builds toward a massive suppression hearing that threatens to legally classify Batman as an agent of the state…potentially invalidating years of arrests and freezing Gotham’s entire justice system overnight.

Question: Juubi Seedling Question

Lore-wise...would this theoretically work?

During the 4th Great Ninja War, imagine if someone captured one of the weaker Juubi fission-beings (basically fodder-tier) and sealed it inside a White Zetsu (pseudo juubi jinchuriki? )...

..Then imagine placing a Curse Mark on that Zetsu.

Wouldn’t the Curse Mark’s passive nature energy absorption continuously feed the sealed fission-being (almost like a tapeworm)?

And if that’s the case...what would stop it from eventually growing stronger and larger over time...possibly even rivaling the original Juubi eventually?

Basically:

Take a branch off a tree...plant it...grow a new tree.

Genuinely curious why this would or wouldn't work.
