Gift for my Friend

My buddy’s an EC player whereas I do Grey Knights. We’re planning a campaign together, but I wanted to surprise him with a Fulgrim I threw together and painted.

I’m still relatively new to 40k, but I’m pretty happy with how he came out.

Yee-Haw Dynasty

A little idea I had. Contemplating turning this into a full fledge list. What do you all think?

Grey Knight Color Scheme wip

I wanna thank y’all in helping me decide on a color scheme in my last post. Pardon the mess in the background.

I’m not too great of a painter, but here’s what I have so far. A little disappointed about the checkerboard pattern, and how the nuln oil sat on the pauldrons… but it’s a process lol.

Color Scheme?

So, I’ve recently picked up a combat patrol of the grey knights to build, paint, and play with for a campaign that my friends and I are doing.

I thought about sticking with the standard grey knight colors, but I kinda wanted to do something different. With that being said, I’m faced with a bit of decision paralysis.

What do you all think? My gf likes the teal one in particular, but it feels too “alpha legion” to me…

Need Help Landing on an Army

So, I’m stuck with a bit of decision paralysis.

My friends and I are developing a campaign between the lot of us where we conquer planets, etc with our respective armies.

Two of them are playing a chaos faction, and one is doing xenos.

Originally, I was going to do Chaos Undivided with only daemons led by Be’lakor, but I kept hearing that that faction was eventually going to be removed?

So, this led me to landing on the Imperium, specifically Space Marines. Albeit, I don’t really know who to play? I quickly airbrushed a couple of test models, but I’m kinda sorta in between the Salamanders, as I like the idea of an army that respects its fellow man.

Alternatively, I was thinking of painting some Blood Ravens, as Dawn of War 1 got me into warhammer in the first place.

What do you all think? Any suggestions or advice?

Feedback for a beginner?

So, I’ve never played 40k before. I’ve read multiple books, played the games, but never the tabletop. Recently, a friend gifted me a box of tzeentch daemons (Kairos, Tzaangors, blue/pink horrors, etc), which lead me to buying a box of rubrics, and painting them last night.

I find them fun to paint, but for you all that’ve played how does my potential army look? Would it be decent for a beginner, or should I scale it back?

My ODST Guardsman

Started dabbling into the Imperial Guard a little bit. Considering doing a whole halo conversion, so here is what I have so far.

Some Karskin with ODST helmets.

Your Favorite Seats?

I recently bought this Ultimate seat for touring, and instantly fell in love with the thing.

How about you all? What do you rock on your bikes?

Indecisive on a Paint Scheme

Hey, all.

I’m fairly new to 40k, and I’m having trouble deciding on how I want my army to look? I’m very indecisive, unfortunately.

I was building a White Scar successor for the tabletop that’s Harley-Davidson inspired. They’re called the “Milwaukee Iron” All bikes, machines, etc.

I started with just orange, but then spiraled into wanting something more “unique”. I wanted to see what you all thought?

My attempt at a Bloodmaw

Still fairly new to painting. I’m finding myself getting a little frustrated, as a majority of minis come across as “flat”. At least to me. I’m still struggling to put life in the eyes of my marines. Any suggestions?

Music Edu Perspective?

So, I’m in a strange position as I approach 30. When I got out of highschool my plan was to always major in Music Edu/Composition. One thing led to another, and I ended up in the medical field instead.

I’ve been a Paramedic for a little over 6 years, and nearly everyday I wonder where I’d be at if I landed in education instead, as opposed to medicine. Without this sounding too much like a therapy post I’m reaching a point where this field is wearing me down, and I keep toying with the idea of actually obtaining my degree to be a band director/music educator.

It’s something I’ve discussed with my girlfriend before, albeit I have a romanticized version of this in my head. Especially as I clock into my current job everyday. I wanted to hear from those currently in this field? What led you into music education, and how do you like it? Do you wish you did something else, and do you have any advice for those wishing to enter into education?

Army Advice for a New Player?

I’ve never actually played 40k before, and have only really messed with it via books/lore. After buying a combat patrol my roommate is wanting to dive into actually playing the game.

With that being said, how does my list look for a casual beginner match?

New to 40K

Love the wolves, and their lore. My roommate got me into the tabletop which led me into picking up a combat patrol.

I kinda wanted to stray away from the baby blue, so I went with a more darkened teal look with my kinda own “great company”

I wanted a kinda superstitious rune priest company where they navigate the warp in search of Leman Russ. Which led me into making a chapter symbol of a wolf and compass.

Still kinda iffy on a name though, and wanted to see what you all thought? I’m still kinda new to 40k.
