DAE: Have the Sunday Scaries Before Work on Monday?

If so, how do you handle it? I've been realizing I've been suffering from this for years, but made even worse with a company I'm less than excited about doing work for. Normally it's whatever and manageable. But I noticed with my new company it's been made even WORSE than ever.

Which Soundtrack Do You Prefer Playing With?

Personally, as much as I love the XCOM: EW soundtrack - I am biased towards the Tactical Legacy OST. Those tracks can get really high energy and it just fits for certain encounters.

Though, if I am ever fighting the Chosen or doing the DLC special missions, I will switch to the original soundtrack. Because those songs are really good - especially the Julian boss music.

Has Anyone Else Been Executed by a Muton?

I didn't even know it was a thing until my most recent playthrough where one my soldiers got knocked unconscious and the Muton just went up to them and brapped them in the head. I've played this game for hundreds of hours and I've never even seen that attack.

That Muton did that soldier freaking dirty. I felt real bad after that one...

What is Your Top 5 Seasons of Clarkson's Farm

Since we finally have 5 Seasons of Clarkson's Farm, I feel it's only appropriate to see what everyone's favorite to least favorite are. Here is mine from 1 being my favorite to 5 being my least. Also, my notes are written from the perspective of haven't watched them all in a row for a year. So excuse the verbosity.

  1. Season 3 - A great blend of good experiments and harrowing moments that felt very natural.

  2. Season 2 - Really solid and this season really did make you feel the tension with The Council kept you on your seat throughout. Among other things.

  3. Season 5 - Honestly? Having just seen this, it was miles better than 4. It didn't feel forced, for one thing. It had the right blend of what made the show great with the tension being from Clarkson's health. There were some great community moments in this that made me believe Clarkson has finally done it. If this was the end of the show for real, I'd be happy with it.

  4. Season 1 - A humble start and like most starts to any show, it is trying to find its footing in what it wants to do. While superb, compared to most anything on Amazon today, it serves as an honest look into farming at a basic and human manner. It's early and yet it's great, despite being the "Season 1".

  5. Season 4 - It started out great, but the last few episodes were PAINFUL. Largely in part due to it feeling very forced and deliberately trying to get tension where it wasn't needed. I felt Clarkson pissed everyone off for the views and you can absolutely tell.

Is Everyone Else Suppressing Their Emotions Nowadays?

30m, and I grew up with a not-so-good family and found life to be very cruel at a young age. So cruel, I kept my emotions withdrawn from most everyone, and I rarely ever allow myself to get close to people. Sometimes I wonder if I can care about anyone other than myself. Especially with regards to the politics in the world as of late, it has given me even more of a reason to remain withdrawn.

Wasn't sure if I was alone in this or if people had similar events that resulted in similar feelings.

How Would You Describe the Music for the Anime?

I've always loved the soundtrack for Yu Yu Hakusho, as it gives me this weird, dark and almost ghostly feel. Especially the stinger sound effects they use give really give it horror-adjacent vibes. One of the biggest examples was when Yusuke awakened his full power against Toguro and grabbed Toguro by the wrist and just the stinger of that alone gives me chills. Tie that in with the red aura, you'd have me fooled to believe this was anime horror in the loosest sense of the word.

But whenever I find myself listening to the unreleased soundtrack in all its grainy, ripped, glory - I can never really identify what it is or what you'd even call. "Genre", in this case would be too broad a word.

Does Anyone Hate Rendering UI Elements in World Space?

For real though. I went through the effort of having a beautifully made UI and then when it's rendered in the world it looks washed out and REALLY bad. And the only two things I can modify are emissive and opacity? That's pretty bad. Even after adjusting lighting, bloom, etc, it still looks bad.

What are some people's work arounds for that? Because I'm burning cycles figuring out a clean way of making the UI look good.

Long Time Fan of Yu Yu Hakusho But Never Watched the Live Action Version - Is It Any Good?

I've heard mixed things about it a few years back and wanted to wait a few years until it sat before watching it. I'm planning on it tomorrow and just wanted to see if people still felt the same way about it.

Mostly just wanted to know what people still thought of it, more or less. What I do know is that it's basically an any % speedrun of the original show - which I'm going into it with an open mind knowing that.

Does it Grind Anyone Else's Gears When an Indie Creator is Accused of Using AI When They Really Didn't?

I've been seeing that a lot with games lately where a game gets released and people accuse it of using AI. But then it turns out they really didn't. I just feel like those sorts of false accusations can lead to really bad outcomes for genuinely passionate creators - who just want to make a game. Only to be shut down by someone who got butt-hurt on social media and decided to falsely claim someone used Gen-AI.

If a game really did use AI? You probably should call it out. But those sorts of accusations can be harmful to someone who is putting their own pennies into a game they spent years making.

Let's Be Real: How Many People Who Played Subspace Emissary Used/Knew About Stickers?

I was playing through the game recently with a friend - who also played Brawl when it released way back when - and we were playing through the story mode like we did when we were younger. When I went into the sticker editor he was shocked that after playing through the game several times he never knew about the stickers and what they did. He just thought they were collectibles for 100% completion and had no other purpose.

I don't know about you guys - but I did some pretty crazy stuff with some of my characters. Giving heavier characters launch and flinch resistance to basically make them almost unkillable at low percentages. Things like that. Sometimes I would do a "New Game+" where I'd play through the game again with all my stickers loaded out from the beginning again.

Wouldn't It Be Nice if You Could Feel Someone's Gaze on You?

Like, what if you could tell someone was watching you without actually having to confirm it with your eyes? Like it's another sense that one would have to hone and recognize.
