Quick question

Just got YTTV, is it true that I can basically just click add to library on any show or movie I like and I'll have the full show eventually in a week or so and it's unlimited recordings? I heard it deleted after 9 months but that's still wild.

Purchase limit question out of state

Just doing some well advance research for next trip.

I know it's 2.5 oz and 15 carts..and now most dispos won't go over or if they do they'll report you right after you leave.

Here's my question, is your DL tracked in a data base? If you buy 2.5 at one store and then go to another would you get popped? Coming from an OOS.

Question about eligibility.

I made too much at my job in June so they ended my benefits effective July 1st. However, I was terminated on June 22nd so I reapplied today. Can I still get benefits for July? If not my family may not have food next month.. that money all went to rent and such.

Anyone want a PS5 league?

We run at 8:30 PM EST on Tuesdays. It's pretty casual. There's teams and stuff. First race is coming up, Daytona on June 23rd

We use messenger and discord to communicate as it started on a FB group so if you have a FB it'll be easier

Is the "Legends" universe essentially the "What If" equivalent for Star Wars now?

Recently I've been getting into the books and most of my life I've preferred sticking to canon media..how ever, I genuinely love Star Wars and Ive gotten some canon and legends books (Master and Apprentice and Heir to the empire respectively) and while I plan on starting soon I have to ask:

Is this an alternative timeline essentially? Or more of a what if situation nowadays?

I feel like it's maybe a me thing, but sometimes it's hard when something may never be canon or relevant again to fully enjoy it. But viewing it from that lens helps me a little.

Any thoughts?

I'm the guy who made the Darksaber post yesterday. Heading to books a million now as goodwill didn't have a book I liked. I'm thinking of "Padawan" or "Master and Apprentice" as a first book. Any recommendations?

I've never read a star wars book. This will be my first probably. (I'm going to the other goodwill in town tomorrow) Is this a good start? No spoilers! Thrift book recommendations are fine but I'm eager to get started and prefer local.

A couple of questions regarding pain management.

Hi there. I saw my regular dentist and I have an infected wisdom tooth, I believe he said #30? Don't quote me. Anyway, I am taking antibiotics and currently saving to get it extracted.

However, I am also prescribed ketorolac and have a few questions.

During the day I am actually feeling mostly okay just mild pain, I believe because the infection is being fought off. However at night trying to sleep is unbearable. Any advice? It seems then the only remedy is 4-5 ibuprofen (I know, trust me, too much) and waiting with my head propped up.

Should I get more ibuprofen? Does it have more anti inflammatory properties? Should I alternate more?

Hypothetically as well, would marijuana hurt or help the pain? In the instances I've tried (Delta which is legal here) it has been to close to night to tell but I'm scared to mess with it tbh. I'm hopeful it would kind of make it go away in my brain during the day.

Any remedies I may have tried? I've got clove oil, hydrogen peroxide, Listerine, orajel applicant and rinse, the enamel cap stuff, and ambesol.

Also weird note, when I put the cap stuff on the tooth it almost causes more pain?

And lastly,

When I wake up it's like my pain is mostly subsided then slowly comes back until bed? Is this the antibiotic? Will it get more and more relief over time? If so, thank fuck. I'm on day 2 ish (I took one at the ER on day 0)

Assassin's Creed Origins was interesting, but Ubisoft fatigue hit hard and fast.

Hello guys and gals,

I recently gave Assassin's Creed Origins a shot and ended up dropping it after 35 hours. I can absolutely see why it's so highly regarded, but it just wasn't enough to keep me going.

The biggest strength for me was the setting. Ancient Egypt is a fascinating backdrop, and exploring the world was genuinely interesting at first. The story also grabbed me early on, especially as a somewhat new Stepfather. Bayek's motivation is immediately understandable, and I was curious to see where things were headed, albeit I felt we were being fed a bit of a trope, but I digress.

I also enjoyed the premise of the modern day segments more than I expected. I've always had a soft spot for the idea of the overarching Assassin's Creed narrative, and Origins felt like it was at least trying to move things forward after years of the modern story feeling like an afterthought, from what I understand. I haven't always been the biggest fan, yet to my knowledge Ubisoft has ruined this part of the series on multiple occasions. I enjoyed the bits I saw here.

Unfortunately, the game lost me once the familiar Ubisoft open world formula started taking over. Maybe it's because I was playing it years after release, but by 2026 standards I found myself getting tired of the structure very quickly. The map filled up with to-dos, ?(s), collectibles, and side content, and before long it felt more like a checklist than an adventure, and the level gating for a lot of these only harmed my sense of exploration. I must play how the game tells me and explore the appropriate areas!

The stealth also felt underwhelming. Having played Ghost of Tsushima recently to completion, I couldn't help but compare the two. Origins has a lot of good stealth options, but I rarely felt like I needed to be particularly creative or strategic, hell, I found myself forcing myself to use the sleep darts. Likewise, the combat never really clicked with me. While I appreciate that Ubisoft tried something new, most encounters ended up feeling like button mashing rather than something that required much thought or mastery, and the encounters that are difficult feel like you're not getting punished for lack of skill or learning curve, but because the game lacks control and tuning. My best example would be when you face the guys with the bigger shields - sometimes you can time everything perfectly and dodge, and still be punished because they'll get you mid dodge. Honestly I think a lot of it is just new system issues in a game trying new ideas.

I don't think Origins is a bad game at all. In fact, I think there's a lot to admire about it and it held my attention for quite a while. The setting is excellent, the initial story hook is strong, and I understand why it revitalized the franchise. It just ran into a problem I've had with a lot of Ubisoft games: eventually the open world formula started to overshadow everything else.

I am not going to be finishing this unfortunately. I would give it a 6/10

(originally was going to say 7, but this is my second attempt to play through this game since it came out and neither time has it held my attention so I'm deducting a point)

Id definitely recommend it if you like games set in desert regions, revenge stories, or just turn off your brain fun (any AC, Ghost Recon, or Far Cry game past 2015 essentially). Definitely worth 25-30 hours, but I'd recommend focusing the main story and DLC, I'm wondering if I also just maybe got too preoccupied with side stuff since they said it was good like in Witcher and burned myself out.

Curious how others feel about Origins, especially those who played it closer to release versus those who came to it years later?

The next game I'm playing is Star Wars: Outlaws (ironic I know), I've heard despite the developer it has remedied some of these issues I mentioned and I am in a mood for some Star Wars given the month. Ive actually completed the canto bright tutorial and dug it so far. I'll drop a post on that when I'm done with it!

Thanks for reading, and hopefully I'll have another review of whatever I do play more of soon (hopefully Outlaws) for y'all on here. Between life and loading screens, the backlog awaits.

I'm really enjoying the lore and story so far. Gameplay reminds me of GoT. I can see where that game got some inspiration. Any tips? Also, I've only ever really played unity. What AC games should I check out in the future? Odyssey I tried first and quit pretty quick. Didn't care much for the first few quests. Love this setting!

Tips appreciated please! I played this game like a quarter way back in the day on Xbox but it was released year and I was like 21 lol, I'm 29 now.

Also do these games get a bad wrap or is that just my overthinking? I always feel like when I play them they seem higher quality than people admit. But maybe they're just the fast food of games? What do y'all think

I really like Origins to a surprising amount so I'm not sure

So tonight (Wednesday), I stayed up and finished Resident Evil 7 and ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected.

Going in, I was worried it would be pretty damn scary based on community reviews and discussions online, but for me it leaned much more into tension than pure horror or fear. There were definitely moments I was taken aback by (fuck the bug section with the wife) but it never felt overwhelming.

The puzzle solving and minute to minute gameplay kept things engaging, and I found myself consistently wanting to push forward rather than putting it down, which is harder and harder for me at 29 years old. A lot of games nowadays I start, feel like I've seen everything they have to offer in another game already, and quit.

I also liked the characters more than I thought I would. By the end, I actually felt sorry for the Baker family, which caught me off guard. For context, this is basically my first real Resident Evil experience (I played a bit of Resident Evil 5 co-op years ago), so I wasn’t sure how I’d handle it. It took me about 7 hours to finish with 7 deaths.

Now I’m interested in checking out more of the series (I was thinking maybe RE8 since it follows some of the same characters), but I’m a bit undecided on whether to jump into the DLC for 7 first or move on to other entries in the series (or even other games in my backlog).

Curious how others felt:

-Diid RE7 feel more tense than scary to you?

-Is Resident Evil 8 a good next step?

Overall, really solid experience and a great surprise as its definitely not my usual taste.

9/10
