By the authority vested in the Office of the Prime Minister and in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Democracy of Reddit, the following declaration is hereby issued.

Section 1. Findings

The Government finds that the organization known as the CCO has, through its leadership and organizational conduct, demonstrated a pattern of actions intended to undermine constitutional governance, threaten public order, and employ intimidation for political objectives.

The Government further notes that the organization's current Speaker, Cheesesprite, has been incarcerated pursuant to lawful criminal proceedings. The Government determines that this development, when considered alongside the CCO's broader activities, demonstrates that the organization presents a continuing threat to the security and stability of the Republic.

Accordingly, the Government concludes that the CCO has ceased to function as a legitimate political organization and now constitutes an organized extremist movement operating against the constitutional order.

Section 2. Designation

Effective immediately upon issuance of this Declaration, the CCO is designated a Terrorist Organization for all purposes under the laws of the Democracy of Reddit.

Section 3. Legal Effects

Upon this designation:

1. Membership in, or material support for, the CCO shall be subject to investigation and prosecution under applicable law.
2. All assets belonging to the CCO that are lawfully subject to government jurisdiction shall be frozen pending judicial proceedings.
3. Government agencies are authorized to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle CCO operations using all lawful means.
4. Public officials are prohibited from coordinating official governmental business with representatives of the CCO except for law enforcement or judicial purposes.
5. Any government contracts, grants, or official recognition previously extended to the CCO are hereby suspended.

Section 4. Due Process

Nothing in this Declaration shall diminish the constitutional rights of any individual. Criminal liability shall attach only upon conviction through lawful judicial proceedings, and no person shall be penalized solely on the basis of association absent conduct prohibited by law.

Section 5. Review

The designation established by this Declaration shall remain in effect until revoked by the President or repealed by an Act of Congress following a determination that the CCO no longer poses a terrorist threat to the Republic.

Section 6. Effective Date

This Declaration shall take effect immediately upon signature.

Whereas she has vacated her duty to protect the workers of Alexandria.

Whereas she is ignoring incriminating evidence that was legitimately obtained.

I, Maleficent-Big4417, a citizen of Alexandria, and sitting member of the Samiti, call for a popular vote of the citizens of Alexandria to recall Ratpotpie from her position as Chief Justice of Alexandria.

Clause 4. Constitutional Courts
Constitutional courts shall be established at every level of the council system, with judges elected by the councils they serve, recallable by the same, and paid no more than the average wage of those they serve. No judge shall hold office for more than a fixed term. Judicial proceedings shall be public and accessible as provided in Section 12, Clause 8.

Section 15

Clause 9. Recall and Removal
Any Governor, Councillor, or Cabinet member may be recalled at any time by simple majority of the citizens who elected them, upon petition of a significant minority as provided in Section 12, Clause 6. The Governing Council may remove the Governor for violations of this constitution by vote of four-fifths of the Council, subject to ratification by simple majority of citizens in a recall referendum held within seventy-two hours.

This was it. Her last day in Layla, at least for a while. It felt strange. She had so far been executing her duties as Prime Minister from Layla, but at the same time had handed off more and more duties to the Samiti towards the end of her time.

Nonetheless, her schedule today had been and still was busy. Besides the packing she had done, she had attended the ground breaking ceremony for the Karst section of Project Volga. Then she spent some time drafting bills to propose to parliament. After that, she had briefly discussed the federal budget with some members of parliament over the phone. And there was still much to do, between getting ready to depart to Callens and making sure the transition of power to her successor was smooth.

She sat at her desk, staring at the blank walls of her office. She wondered what the Prime Minister’s office looked like now. She hadn’t been there since the first half of President Blu’s term.

“Madam Premier?” Markos broke her out of her thoughts.

“Markos. Please, sit.”

“I’ve… come to say goodbye. It’s been an honor protecting you.”

She raised an eyebrow. “You seem so certain.”

“Madam? I don’t understand. My position is tied to the office of the Premier.”

“Not anymore. I spoke to the employees here. There are a few willing to take your place that have the confidence of the staff.”

“Then… where will I go?”

“You’ll come with me to Callens. You’ll be the head of my security as Prime Minister.”

He was silent for a moment. He looked even more surprised than when she had asked his name.

“I… I’m honored. I’m not sure what to say.”

“You still have some time to think it over Markos. Don’t worry yourself too hard.”

She extended a hand.

“No matter what you choose, I am glad to have served as your Premier.”

He shook her hand.

“Thank you madam. I do not know where I will go, but either way, I hope to see you again soon.”

The NEP passes.

No MPs missed this vote, so no one is getting removed from parliament. I'm hoping to make sure that stays constant throughout my time as PM.

You read that right. I will be dropping out of the race for Premier of Alexandria, and in my place I will be endorsing Lena. She is a committed member of the Communist Party, and I have faith that she will take good care of this province. I will be running for Samiti instead, because I care about this province too much to leave it entirely up to other people.

Most book recommendations I see from socialists are either just broadly socialist/communist (The Manifesto, Reform or Revolution, and the like) or from Marxist-Leninists. I want to get a full breadth of understanding here, not just one tendency.
