Still mourning the loss of my chicken sandwich 😞
I haven’t eaten Wendy’s since they got rid of ghost pepper and then try it again and got this sad excuse of a chicken sandwich

Hello everyone. Currently I’m working part time at Walmart as a cashier and it’s probably the saddest soul sucking part of my life right now 😃
Anyways I love tech and have heard great things about the work environment at my local best buy through some friends.
I have a few concerns that I was hoping some people could answer for me here 🙂
Whats the calling off policy and trading or giving aways shifts?
I can only work weekdays starting at 4 and no Thursday’s how many hours can I expect roughly with that? (Open availability Saturday and Sunday)
What are the benefits if any?
Anyways im sure ill think of more questions later. If you think i missed anything let me know! Im trying to compare between walmart and best buy right now to decide!
I’ve had the Logitech super light for six years now. It’s my most fav mouse and the scroll wheel stopped working out of the blue.
I went through every troubleshooting method i could think of from updating and reinstalling drivers to trying it on multiple devices. It came down to being a physical issue.
Anyways after a two hour chat with an agent Im told i cant get a replacement and will have to purchase a new one.
Im rather upset that im having to drop over 100 dollars even with the 30 percent off discount I got.
Idk if I’m being unreasonable or not but Id expect more for having used a product for six years since its release in 2020. (So more like five years)
It keeps coming back and disappearing in about a week times so a week heal a week or two without anything then it comes back somewhere else or smaller in the same area.
It’s discomfortable when it touches my teeth and changes my speaking a little bit.
I originally thought it was a chemical burn from a mint but now I don’t know what it could be if anyone has any ideas please let me know 🙏 I really don’t feel like having to get a biopsy if it’s gonna go away on its own.
The first photo is the first time it happened June 27th ish and then the second one is last night
It’s crazy that Amazon wants to charge 35 dollars for a poster. I know the vintage stock is good but not too sure of anywhere else. I’d love to hear ideas from other people.
I know Christmas is nowhere near but I absolutely love that time of year. Last year was my first Christmas time with Walmart and found out you can’t pay for people’s groceries (which makes sense but it was a mom not being able to buy formula)
anyways I’ve been trying to think of other ways I could help people out for the holidays while on the clock and not get in trouble and would love to hear some suggestions if anyone has any.
I typically try to make it a point to spend atleast 100 dollars on strangers. (Things like hearing someone say “I can’t afford it” to their little kids asking for something or someone’s card declining for basic necessities or just buying people Christmas decorations (my favorite I love decorating)
Side note: I earned the nickname buddy (from the ELF movie) last year during Christmas so I really like Christmas 😃
I'm starting college in less than a month, and I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do after I graduate in four years and where I'd like to work.
I'm currently working part-time as a cashier at Walmart and plan to stay there while I'm in college. Lately I've been considering sticking with Walmart after graduation and applying for a corporate cybersecurity position. By then I'd have around five years of seniority, hopefully an internship with Walmart under my belt, I'd be close to home, and my university has strong connections with Walmart and its executives.
I'll need to contribute about $5,000 toward tuition over the next 12 months, but outside of that I really don't have many expenses. I mostly just pay for gas and the occasional car repair.
Because of that, I feel like this is a good time to start saving while my expenses are low. I've been looking into getting my first credit card and opening a high-yield savings account.
I'd like in four ish years time have enough money set to the side to be able to accept a job offer and have enough money to either cover moving costs, first months rent, etc. I'm hoping to be able to land a job within the first six months of graduation (the University has a 95 percent job placement rate after six months graduation)
Edit: College is being paid for through scholarships, a small loan, parents, grandpa (only first year) and myself. the total cost for the first year is around 30k then moving off campus allowing me to remove the on campus living expense and the school put the money given to me for housing elsewhere (I live close enough to the University that I can stay at home. Only reason I'm not is due to my money from the school being thousands less) so sophomore year should drop my tuition down to 16-17k a year with help from parents and continuing to apply for scholarships.
If anyone has any advice I appreciate it! ;)
I've been looking at credit cards for while I'm in college to help build my credit score while I'm in school. I found a couple but I'm not too sure which ones are the best. I was looking at the captiol 1 savor card.
I've been looking into starting a HYSA but don't know much on the topic. The whole goal with the account is to have a good sum of money after I graduate college in 4 years to use as a down payment on a house. (I'm moving tf outta da house when I graduate)
I was wondering what a good amount would be to be putting into it and how often?
Do I have to put in the same amount each time or can it vairy?
Is there penalty's for withdrawing early and if so how do I avoid those in four years?
Like I said I don't know much over the topic yet so as much information as possible would super awesome! Just using this post to get an idea of what I'm looking at.
I do work part time at Walmart as a Cashier and that job will be kept for atleast the next four and half ish years (Until I get my first real adult job 🙁 )
I’m starting my freshman year in a few weeks to study Cyber Security. I was talking to my store manager about updating my availability for school, and while we were talking, she asked if I had looked at any companies I’d be interested in working for with my degree. I told her no, I hadn't really looked yet, and that I was going into cyber security.
Then she asked if I had any plans to stay with Walmart, and I told her I hadn't even considered it. I also mentioned that I've been to Bentonville before and wasn't really a fan of it. She asked what I actually did while I was there, and after I told her, she laughed and said I did all the wrong things lol.
We got to talking about jobs and what the Home Office is actually like. She showed me pictures of her there during Associates Week one year and photos she took of different spots inside the Home Office, and honestly, it all looked really interesting. I'm actually rather impressed with what I've seen of it now. She even looked a few things up right there and found out that multiple high-level Walmart executives are actually alumni from the university I’m going to, and that they work super closely with the students there.
SIDE NOTE: It completely changed the way I look at her, honestly. It was really cool getting to see her in a non-management role, and we found out we actually have a lot in common.
She said to let her know if I ever need anything from her. She said she'd be more than happy to write me a recommendation letter and told me if I end up applying for a corporate internship or job to definitely put her down as a reference (and that she'd miss me at the store).
but I was just wondering if anyoneHas anyone here successfully moved from a store to a tech/cyber role at Home Office?
and
What internal programs or pipelines should I be looking out for while I'm in school?
Our store has been putting them up and it was honestly rather nice to be putting them up. I worked a morning shift today to help put up more tags around the store and it was great!! Little to no customers co worker brought me some of my favorite hot chocolate from Quick Trip and talked the whole morning while putting up price tags!
But anyways a couple customers I could over hear where complaining about them. I wasn’t going to ask them but I think they are awesome!! They are rather satisfying to put into the shelf and the blinking is awesome! Just wondering what they are like long term because they are new to me but it makes PICK walks so much easier especially for cheese I can never find the right cheese.
I also am a bit dyslexic and think these tags are a lot easier to read! I’d like to hear what others that have had them think about them.
I haven’t worked in like a month but anyways end of my shift I’m annoyed and ready to go home. Lady buying like 200 dollars of groceries comes through and my plan to use my Ulearns as a break before leaving ruined 😠
I start scanning then she purposely is not putting up the alcohol onto the belt (which is good typically means they know they need there I.D) anyways exchange of the I.D typical
Me: can I see an ID?
Dumb customer: I don’t have it
Me: I can’t sell alcohol to anyone without a physical non expired I.D.
Dumb customer: well the other Walmart doesn’t ID ME!! 😡
Me: We ID so unfortunately your total will be 225.58 without that alcohol.
Dumb customer: DO I NOT LOOK OLD ENOUGH TO BUY ALCOHOL?!?!?!!?
ME: (apparently not under my breath 😭) looks like you were around for the fucking prohibition.
(Those lost two are the only word for word bits of the convo everything else is I’d say 89% accrete)
Anyways she hears that and lost her mind calls my manger demands my name accuses me of shaming her 🧍 and just so on and so fourth.
Anyways my shift was over and I just left and went home because I’m not getting bitched at for free.
(I haven’t worked in about of month cuz I’ve just always had some B.S happening and am thankful my manger was willing to pull strings to get my shifts covered. I’m not calling out and am more reliable then I should be for this company)
I’m currently making 14.53 an hour and was wondering if my pay would go from 14.53 to 15.53 or just increase to 15.00 flat snd completely eliminate my raises.
I’m assuming I’d get moved to 15.00 because Walmart letting me keep my pocket change would be shocking.
I swear on everything he had an app around the sky lock days with squishy. No one seems to remember this app and I swear I had it on my old iPad but couldn’t find the app anywhere.
I went to Chick-fil-A and when I got to the drive thru I was expecting to have to order but nope 😞 The guy knew my name my order and asked why I wasn't coming in the mornings anymore. So I think I'll be doordashing chick-fil-a from now on 🙃
Side note: I wonder if they'd give me a job if I applied I'm so sick of working at Walmart 😭
I don’t smoke or drink or do anything. I just went to the dentist the other day and they asked if it was from zens I said no and then they just kinda moved on 😐 but it’s getting quite annoying not being able to freely move my tongue without it feeling like someone is trying to pull it back.
I held a mint under my tongue while at work about a week ago and wondering if that’s maybe what happened? It’s just super uncomfortable 😣
Edit: I also don’t know if it’s from me bitting my tongue while I was numb in the front but it also doesn’t like the feel of my bottom teeth touching the tip of it. 🙃
I have spackle I was thinking of just putting some of that on it and painting it. Idk if that’s going to work anyone got ideas?
