Ordered AutoEXE Suspension Kit for my ‘26 TSPP

Ordered AutoEXE Suspension Kit for my ‘26 TSPP

I drive a lot of long distance as we split our time between two states (NC and Kentucky). The CX-90’s suspension compliance often leaves a lot to be desired on the broken interstate highways and curvy mountain roads I drive, as well as poorly maintained city streets. The car handles larger dips and undulations pretty well, but it’s those sharp sudden high impact bumps that send a nasty shudder through the whole car, and make it feel like you’re bouncing off the bump instead of it being absorbed.

I researched all of the available aftermarket suspension options and the AutoEXE kit seemed to have the best balance between comfort and handling. I spoke to some folks in the Philippines who have this kit installed on their CX-60s and CX-90s and they claimed it made a huge improvement to their car’s comfort, while also being a big handling upgrade. Mazda Philippines has even officially begun selling this suspension kit through their dealers as an approved replacement for the factory suspension components. I wish MazdaUSA would do that too, but I’m sure they won’t. The kit includes new sway bar links, new front and rear coilovers with twin tube dampers. All in it was about $1800. They told me it would ship by the end of the week (from Japan) and hopefully I’ll have it within 2 weeks.

Once I get it installed I will keep everyone updated on how it feels. Unlike some kits I saw this one does not have user set compression and rebound. It’s a fixed damping unit, but the manufacturer claims they believe they have the perfect blend of compliance and firmness baked in. If anyone on this sub is from the Raleigh, NC or Louisville, KY area and has a shop they have used for installing aftermarket suspension parts that did a good job, I would love a recommendation. I know several Euro car specialists in Raleigh but I am not sure if they would be willing to work on this Mazda. I’ll have to check. The installation doesn’t seem that complicated and I would likely do it myself but I am currently redoing my garage and it is too damn hot to do it out in my driveway in the 100°F heat and 500% humidity.

Last thing… this is technically for the CX-80, but the parts are interchangeable. The only change Autoexe recommended was setting the front height +10mm over the rear for the CX-90’s extra weight over the CX-80. This kit does slightly reduce ride height, a minimum of 15mm which is not my first choice, but I’m willing to sacrifice a smidge of ground clearance if it means the ride is much better.

Differences between motor heads 972182-03 and 974714-01?

I have a V15 Detect and the “anti tangle comb” head broke. Dyson is offering me a replacement, however they said the one that came with my vacuum is not in stock so they have an alternative (974714-01). Is one superior to the other? Just looking at photos it’s hard to tell what’s different from one to another, but the price of the original head seems to be higher? I will be using this for carpet, rugs, etc.

12V Battery Issue means no brake assist/brake failure?

Went out last night to move the truck (24 Colorado WT 4WD with TurboPlus 2.7T). It was completely dead. I got my jump box, jumped it, let it warm up a little and then propped a brick on the accelerator so it would run at 2500rpm for 10-15 mins to charge the battery. Got in, put the truck in reverse and it immediately died. Jumped it again, revved up engine to about 1250rpm and sorta knocked it into reverse and it died again. Finally I pushed it up to my garage, hooked a 2A/12V tender to the battery and left it from about 8pm until this morning around 11am. I hit the key fob buttons at 11am, and nothing happened. I got my jump box again, jumped it and decided I would just go get a new battery. I tried to manually turn the headlights to OFF, but as soon as I pressed the light shortcut on the screen and hit OFF the entire gauge cluster lit up like a Christmas tree and the engine shuddered.

Every warning you could think popped up including a speed limited to 62mph warning. Check ESC. CEL. Check trailer lights. Check headlights. TPMS error. I pulled out onto my street and head down to the stop sign at about 45mph. Go to press the brake pedal and it sinks to the floor. The engine started acting like it was going to conk out so I knocked it into neutral and revved up the engine. I had to stand on the brake pedal to get the truck to stop or I would have gone straight through the stop sign and across the road into a cemetery.

Turned flashers on, put it in L2 and slowly drove to my nearest auto parts store at about 30mph knowing now I had no brake power. Got a new battery, and began taking old one out. For some reason there is no handle on the OEM battery and the little L shaped wedge at the bottom that holds it in place is a major PITA to remove if your hand isn’t the thickness of a sheet of paper. I finally got the battery out and dropped in the new battery. Fired up the truck and it seems to be fine now. It’s a bit strange to me that even with the engine running the truck seemed to have not enough electrical power to even power the brake booster.

It’s a bit disconcerting that if the 12V ever suddenly dies while going at highway speeds or pulling a trailer downhill I could suddenly lose any and all braking assist, despite the engine running. I don’t know if in this situation I should have pumped the brakes like some old school car, but I haven’t ever experienced this on any other vehicle with a dead battery. I also would like to know if the electronic emergency brake would work in this instance as a last ditch effort. Has anyone else had this same thing happen? I know low voltage can cause bizarre warnings, but I do not think it should result in brake failure. The truck only has 34K miles on it and it’s not even 2 years old. I imagine I could’ve gone to the dealer to get the battery replaced under warranty but they are often weeks out on any service appts.

17 Pro Max front and back glass both detaching

Phone has always been in case and never dropped. I noticed today when I took my phone out to clean it that the front and rear glass are slightly bulging out. The back is worse than the front. There are no cracks. Scheduled AppleCare appt for Thursday. Hopeful they will not try to say this is damaged by me because it wasn’t.

Doctor recommendations

New to Louisville. Have been on Suboxone/Subutex (Buprenorphine) for 13 years. My husband and I currently split our time between NC and here. I have a primary care physician in NC that prescribes my medication monthly when I’m there, however we are often here in KY for 3-5 weeks at a time (or longer in the summer). Many times we are here when I would have had a doctor’s appointment in NC which means I often end up having to push out my appointments and take partial doses so I don’t run out completely. If you know anything about this medication, it’s not one you can really skip taking without pretty lousy side effects. I would also just like to have a doctor here in case I get sick or need an annual physical. I fractured my arm a few weeks ago and ended up going to the urgent care, but would prefer to have a doctor I could see for follow-ups.

My doctor in NC cannot write a prescription to be filled in another state, nor will any large pharmacy transfer a controlled prescription across state lines, so it leaves few options besides finding a Kentucky doctor. Some doctors still don’t know the FDA changed who can prescribe this medication 5-6 years ago so they act like it’s some sort of off-limits drug.

Not sure if anyone on here takes this medication and has a doctor they recommend, but I would appreciate any recommendations. I called the big local healthcare providers like Norton and UofL and they quoted me 3-4 months just to get in for a new patient appointment. That’s not really going to work out. I will be here for the next couple of weeks and would ideally love to find someone this trip instead of putting it off another month or two until I come back.

Thanks for your help!

NAD+ Liquid formulation

I somehow ended up ordering a 200mg/ml liquid formulation instead of the lyophilized formulation. My question is whether anyone knows if the liquid formulation is already pre-mixed with BAC water or if it’s not intended for subQ use? This is from one of the USP vendors in the sub’s pinned posts.

Sinkhole at Broadway and Campbell

I reported this to Metro 311 5 days ago online and again by phone three days ago. Nothing had been done so I pulled these cones out into the street a few days ago so nobody falls into it or drives their car or bike into it. What is the point of 311 if they cannot even report urgent matters as high priority?

Seems like the city needs a better system so things like this that could pose a huge risk of bodily harm to someone get addressed quickly.

I waited 30 minutes on hold for them to tell me they had no way of marking something a priority, and that all I could do is wait for public works to get around to it. Utterly useless. If anyone knows some other way to report it that may actually get something done let me know. It’s getting worse by the day.

Update: I tried calling Metro Public Works. When you hit the button for “report an issue” it goes to a recording saying “call Metro 311 to report issues.” I hit 0 to try and get an operator but it just repeats the message over and over. Seemingly there is no way to contact them directly, maybe because it’s Sunday?

Anyway, after I posted this on Reddit, within 1 hour there was suddenly a third cone in the street beside the two I had out there a couple days ago. Don’t know if some other citizen did it or if it was someone from the city that happened to see this post. Either way, the sinkhole is growing and if they don’t do something soon I’m sure the road will collapse in the next time it rains heavily.

Southeastern Kentucky/SW VA need a new interstate… My proposed route: I-64 near Lexington, KY and I-81 in SW VA or Kingsport, TN at I-26 (or both)

The state of Kentucky has developed a large divided highway that’s almost interstate grade called the Mountain Parkway. It runs from I-64 south to the town of Salyersville, KY, about 70 miles. The speed limit is 70mph. If they continued the road another 20 miles it will reach US-23/460 which has also been turned into a large 4/6 lane highway that’s near-interstate grade in places. A new section of road called US-460E aka the Coalfields Expressway, has also been built and could easily be turned into true interstate highway with 70mph speed limits.

This portion of Kentucky and Virginia has largely been devoid of any economic growth since the coal industry’s collapse. I believe a new interstate highway that trimmed off 1.5 hours of time for people and commerce going from places like Louisville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, etc. to portions of the southeast like Richmond, Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greenville (SC), Columbia, etc. would bring a huge amount of traffic to this area.

Having a new route from right outside of Lexington, KY to I-81/I-26 would cut travel times drastically and provide an alternate route for traffic that currently has to take I-64 through WV (which is tolled and costs almost $15 for passenger vehicles just to go 65 miles). The tolls are old fashioned booths where traffic has to come to a stop and queue in a line. Not sure why this hasn’t been upgraded to pay by plate ONLY, but it hasn’t been. My proposed route is less curvy, more direct and would greatly improve connectivity of Kentucky, Ohio, etc. to the Southeast. I’ve included a mapped route for two possible corridors using existing roadway that would just be improved to interstate standards.

Did we buy enough frozen donor eggs & does anyone have experience with “SPLIT CYCLE IVF”?

My husband and I (33M/37M) are currently going through the fertility process. Our doctor initially told us we needed to purchase 6 eggs a piece if we wanted to ideally have 2 kids. We ended up buying 18 eggs total. The cost was astronomical, but we thought it would only get higher over time. We’re about to start the embryo creation and a couple of things have come up. Before we thaw the eggs, we’re trying to determine how many eggs we use now. The original plan was have 6 extra in case down the road there’s a way for us to jointly contribute our DNA to a child (would require some magical medical advance) OR if for any reason one of our cycles wasn’t successful we would still have 6 eggs we could try again with. We wanted our kids to be half siblings so it was important to have them from the same egg donor.

Is 6 eggs each enough for the first cycle, or should we go ahead and just use all 18 eggs? This donor’s eggs have resulted in several pregnancies according to the egg bank, so we are hopeful they’re good quality and everything goes well with the GC we end up with. My biggest fear is spending another $20K on IVF and using 12/18 eggs ($45K) and we end up with no child.

The fertility clinic doesn’t charge more or less based on the number of eggs. I could fertilize one or 100 and it’s the same price. They do however charge each of us separately even though all of the eggs are from the same donor and we are a couple. Some clinics offer a “split IVF cycle” for gay couples but this one supposedly doesn’t. I have asked the practice manager to look into this.

Peptides for low IGF-1, fat loss, and muscle mass?

I’m a 33M in the US. I’m 5’7” tall and 139lbs. I exercise (cycling, walking, running, pushing mower). Ever since I was a teenager I felt like I had never finished puberty. By that I mean I never got hairy (barely any facial, chest, or arm hair). I have very hairy legs up to my thigh, and normal pubic hair amount, but it pretty much stops there. My dad and grandfathers had hairy chests, and could grow facial hair.

My body composition today looks the same as it did when I was 15. I still have excess body fat on my chest, under my armpit, and love handles that no matter how much cardio I do I cannot burn. I’ve found it incredibly hard to gain much muscle mass. I used to cycle 35-50 miles a day and even then was not at a place where i would want to take my shirt off in public.

I thought maybe I had low T. I didn’t (670ng/dl). But I did have high SHBG, low free T, and slightly elevated estradiol.

I’ve been on enclomiphene for 6 months and I don’t notice any improvement. I’ve actually gained 12lbs on it which I assume is all fat. Despite working out and eating less than 2000 calories a day, I don’t look fit. So this led me to testing my IGF-1. It was below the range of “normal” at 84. So I thought maybe a lot of my issues are due to low growth hormone. I have been debating trying a regiment of tesamorelin and reta, but not sure if that’s the right choice. Main things I want to accomplish are losing body fat, increasing muscle mass, and having more energy. The picture above is from before I started enclomiphene and gained 12lbs. Are there any other peptides recommended for increasing IGF-1/GH levels better than tesa or would that be the best? I’ve seen 2mg/day as the baseline dosing.

The city needs to install a traffic light on River Road/E. Witherspoon at the Big Four and actually put in a crosswalk ASAP!

I’ve nearly been hit by cars that come flying around the curve at 70-80mph. I’m not even exaggerating on the speed. Some people race on River Road through this area. Even in ideal times people are moving 35-45mph. There are hundreds of people a day that walk, bike, scooter, etc. to the bridge. Why is there not even a crosswalk? Why is there no light?

The other day I saw a little boy and his mom trying to cross the road. Not one car coming would let them go. They ended up having to run across the street just to avoid being run over. This is one of the city’s largest attractions, yet there’s no protected way for people to get to it other than driving. Even then you have to risk your life crossing 4 lanes of traffic to pull into the parking lot. This needs to be addressed ASAP before someone gets killed, if it hasn’t already happened in the past.

MHEV first real issue

Last night I went to start the car after driving it 600 miles from Kentucky back to NC. I have a ‘26 TSPP.

I was just trying to move it after unloading it. When the car started it wouldn’t let the gear selector move from Park. The green READY light at the bottom left corner of the display was flashing. I turned the car off and on and it was fine, but I’m fairly certain this has happened 2 other times in the last 4 weeks. I’m at 7000 miles. Car is 4 months old. What’s the cause of this?

Only other issue I have that the dealer didn’t fix was this tapping flapping sound at 60mph+ from the B-pillar. It’s either the front or rear door. The dealership replaced the black shiny plastic trim and chrome trim around the door, but if anything it’s worse now than before. Has anyone else found a real fix for this? I’ve stuffed pieces of folded paper between the window and seals, the trim pieces, etc. and nothing seems to actually fix it. I don’t see anything loose. It’s perplexing.

Cat prednisolone

Our 9.5 year old kitty is having a herpes flare up. We just moved to Louisville and we took our kitty to a vet, but they did not give her anything that has helped. They told us to give her Doxycycline. That was Monday. She’s worse now than she was. She needs prednisolone but our vet’s office is apparently now closed until Monday. Her nose is so closed up she can barely breathe. Without taking her to some $1500 ER vet, does anyone have a recommendation on what to do? We tried to do a free vet thing through Chewy but they don’t offer services in Kentucky…..

Rash on leg that seems to have spread from calf to thigh

In the photo of my thigh I had put on a clear calamine-like gel. That’s what’s making it look flaky. It’s not actually flaking though. The rashes align exactly where my thigh and calf meet when my leg is folded up.

I haven’t been in the woods or in tall grass. I did sit on a rock wall beside a creek two days ago. I didn’t feel like I had been bitten by anything, nor did I see any plants like poison ivy or oak nearby. It is a bit itchy but that’s it. Neither area has improved in two days since I first noticed it. I wrapped my leg and put hydrocortisone on it last night but this morning it looks the same. Currently in Louisville, Kentucky and have been unable to find any dermatologists that can see me before next week.

How to get pork chops as tender as my favorite restaurant?

My husband and I have found a restaurant that has the best pork chops I have ever had in my entire life. I usually am not even a pork chop person because they often tend to be dry and flavorless. This is the total opposite. The restaurant told us they use bone-in Berkshire pork chops. When I say you can cut it with a spoon, I am not exaggerating. They are the most tender, yet not mushy, chops ever. They are perfectly medium in the center, charred exterior. I assume they sous vide, but I'm not sure. If I wanted to try to replicate this kind of cook, how long and at what temperature do I need to cook a chop? Will a standard thicker cut bone in grocery store chop from Whole Foods or similar grocery stores get this tender, or do I have to seek out a heritage style (Duroc, Berkshire, etc) pork chop that is fattier?

I have an Anova sous vide and have used it to cook steak, chicken, and pork tenderloins in the past, but I have never cooked a chop with it. I see tons of posts about chops on here, but most of them do not appear to be that super tender texture I am searching for.

Louis Bouillot Cremant de Bourgogne Rose tastes bizarre

My husband and I bought 48 bottles of wine for our wedding reception (36 rose, 12 blanc). We had tasted it in Total Wine after being recommended it by one of their longest serving employees. We liked it enough that we placed an order for 4 cases and took home a bottle of each to make sure we really liked it.

Fast forward a month to our reception and from the first bottle we opened the flavor was completely different. These are brut French sparkling wines, yet both tasted weirdly sweet and very acidic. It almost gave me heartburn from the first sip. Sadly we had no other options, and since we had spent almost $600 on the wine, I didn’t want to just throw them in the trash. I don’t think I can return wine anyway.

Is it possible the 4 cases we received had gotten hot in transit, or could it just be a bad batch? Almost every single bottle opened at our reception spewed out the top when opened. I know how to correctly open a sparkling wine without the cork flying out. In all my years of drinking Californian, Argentinian, French, South African, and even Armenian sparkling wines, I’ve never had multiple bottles spew out the top like these did.

NC Quick Pass/Toll Authority is a racket

My 73 year old mother went to renew her vehicle registration a month ago and was told her registration was on hold. Why? “Unpaid toll balance.” She was very confused… she had not driven on the toll road in 10 years or more. I contacted NC Quick Pass on her behalf and was told that there was an invoice from November 2025. I asked what vehicle it was for (she only owns one) and they said it’s not even for a car. It was a small utility trailer being pulled by a pickup. She doesn’t own a pickup. She also has not owned any trailers in 13 years since my father died. I explained that to them.

I was also confused why they had even sent a bill for a utility trailer, but not the vehicle pulling the trailer. I couldn’t find anything on NCQP’s website saying small trailers can even be assessed tolls. We have no idea who owns this trailer, have not renewed a trailer tag, paid property tax on it, insured it, or seen it since early 2013. She also never received any mailed invoice from NC Quick Pass stating there was a balance due. Instead they only sent emails to her which she thought were spam emails because we frequently get fake NC Quick Pass emails and texts from scammers. What was originally a $0.50 toll, is now $85. We submitted a dispute and explained that the trailer in reference was not owned by my mother, had not been in 13 years, and that we had no idea who was even in possession of it. Explained that we didn’t even know that tag was still in use as we had not heard anything of that trailer since it was sold.

I just got a response back 30 days later and they denied the dispute. They said even though they only ever sent email invoices, and that she doesn’t own the trailer, she still had to pay the balance including penalties. The only other option is to file a lawsuit against NC Quick Pass/NC Turnpike Authority at the NC Office of Administrative Hearings which itself costs $20 + you have to go to court. We offered to pay the original toll balance even though it was not her driving, but they rejected that and said she has to pay the entire balance before her registration on her vehicle will be released.

In my opinion the state should mandate NCQP must send paper invoices in the mail before they can begin charging any late fees or messing with your vehicle registrations.

Anyone have a hack to integrate automatic annual increases in invoices?

I’m honestly quite shocked this isn’t something that’s easily done in this software. For example, we have about 26 tenants and each have different renewal dates for their leases. Some have no annual rent increase, some have 3% and some have 5%. It would be so nice if I could set up each customer invoice with a simple check box to increase the bill by $X or % annually on the lease renewal date.

Infidelity before marriage

33M married to 37M. My husband (who was my then fiancé) was a serial cheater for 2 years of our relationship. He was in the closet, had an eating disorder, undiagnosed BPD, and was stuck going to some psycho Southern Baptist church that treated him like shit. He was also taking multiple psychotropic drugs including SSRIs that he said made him feel like he had no emotional connection to anything.

He’s an attorney and college professor. From the outside, everything looks like it would be great. On the inside he was dying. While we were engaged, he was meeting up in hotels with guys from Grindr. I had a suspicion, but could never prove it because I tracked his phone like crazy, but it never went anywhere suspicious. Finally caught him on Grindr while we were on a trip. For a month he denied cheating. Passed a polygraph even. Then I found the receipts. Hotel after hotel in the city we live in. He says he doesn’t even know what he was doing. That he was so miserable in the closet as a 34-36 year old that he was just doing things to feel something. Meanwhile he came home to me every night and pretends everything is fine.

We got married in February and I love him more than anything, but I sometimes feel like I can never forgive his betrayal. He had a secret iPad hidden in his car so he could lock his phone in it, but then uber to and from hotels without his location changing. He was taking PrEP covertly, taking STD prophylaxis anytime he met up with anyone, and had the most premium Grindr membership he could pay for plus boosts and other extra costs. This is a man that you would never think could do this type of thing, but he did. Can I ever forgive him? Can we somehow pull through? He’s in individual therapy each week, we’ve been doing couple’s therapy, but as time goes on my resentment and hurt seems to be getting worse not better. I tell him on a daily basis I don’t know if I will ever be able to forgive him. Getting a divorce is the last thing I want to do, but I cannot feel like I do now forever. He’s let me put parental controls on his phone and computer, I get his credit card and debit card statements, I have the password to every account, and he deleted all of his old accounts so none of this shit pops up when he opens an app or anything.

He tells me how sorry he is, how he truly cannot even comprehend what he did to me because he’s not an evil psychopath despite what it seems, and that he will never hurt me again. I just don’t know what to do. I honestly don’t. The thought crosses my mind to file for divorce, but the other half of me doesn’t think that I can. There’s no man on Earth I have ever loved as much as I love him. Is there any way to salvage our relationship, or has he destroyed any chance? Have you ever forgiven someone that cheated 10+ times?

Leftover food from wedding reception

UPDATE 5/13/2026 (11am): thank you for the overwhelming response! I am making several people plates, dropping some off to a couple of people who have lost their jobs. I think I’m going to be able to use up everything we have leftover. Thank you again!!

My husband and I got married on Sunday. We have a ton of really delicious food that we are going to end up throwing in the trash if we don’t give it away. Everything has been stored in a refrigerator since it was brought to our event. We have a mix of kofta kebabs (probably 30 kebabs), the best chicken salad you’ve ever had (it’s got golden raisins, celery, walnuts, a hint of cinnamon, and it’s not super mayonnaisey), Mjadarah (Lebanese lentil and caramelized onion rice dish), fava bean salad (it’s loaded in garlic and onions and it’s one of my favorite things on earth), and we have a really great side of “autumn root salad” which is shredded carrots and beets in a pomegranate vinaigrette with walnuts. Also have a good bit of Baba ghanoush (charred eggplant dip).

I don’t want to throw away all of this excellent food. We ordered enough food for 75 people but I swear they made twice what we ordered. It’s all fresh and I have given some of our close friends plates, but there’s at least enough food for probably 10-12 more people. We’re in Germantown. If you would like some food, please let me know. We have Tupperware containers and everything and will gladly give you as much as you can take. I would love to give this to a homeless shelter but don’t know how they would even feel about this kind of donation. I swear everything has been kept food safe. I’m super careful about that. We would not give anything to anyone that we didn’t know was safe.
