I’m applying for the AA Program Second Semester as a transferee. My previous university will only release my TOR, transfer credentials, and Honorable Dismissal once I’m already accepted or enrolled in UPOU. They suggested I submit my Scholastic Records for now as proof of grades. Is this acceptable in place of the TOR? I also confirm I’ll take the UgAT since I haven’t met the minimum college units.

A few months ago, we decided to invest in solar panels and installed a hybrid system. Earlier this week, Meralco personnel came to our house and said they were upgrading our meter. We were hesitant at first because we hadn’t received any prior notice. We also asked if they were upgrading our neighbors’ meters too, but they said only ours, selected at random. We then asked if this was because we’d just had solar panels installed. One of them replied, “hindi nga po namin alam na naka solar kayo eh” which is funny, cause our batteries are sitting right in front of the electric meter!

They also brought AFP personnel with them. When we asked why, they said people had been so upset with them lately that they feared for their safety and needed protection.

We’re still confused about the whole thing. We live in a village with hundreds of households, yet we’re the only ones who got this “upgrade”, and it was completely free. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Magbibigay po ba ang UPOU ng request letters para ma-claim ko yung form 137, CTC of diploma, and TOR ko? Baka po kasi mag ask ng request letter from UPOU yung previous schools ko and hindi ma-release yung documents if wala ko ma-provide.

I checked po kasi sa website and for old and current students lang yung document request form.

If hindi po nagbibigay si UPOU, ano po need ko sabihin/provide sa previous schools ko para ma-release nila yung mga inaask ko?

Write minus wrong din po ba siya like UPCAT?

I recently applied for an Office Staff position at a small business in the beauty and cosmetics industry. In my previous role, I worked in customer service for a much larger company, where my salary was ₱25,000/month. Given the difference in company size, I’m not sure whether it’s reasonable to maintain the same salary expectation or adjust it downward.

For additional context, I have five years of work experience. I’d appreciate any insights on how you would approach salary expectations in this situation.

Not sure why all of a sudden they’re asking me to provide one eh they can track naman my record sa SLoan. Should I reply? Or is this just one of their tactics to see if your email address is still active?

For context, I have 2 OD SLoan and isa lang yung consistently ko nababayaran monthly.

My boyfriend will be traveling to Beijing with his 70y.o. dad from late July to the first week of August 2026. It’ll just be the two of them, and it’s their first time traveling abroad together. His dad is still physically active and even goes to the gym sometimes, but he can’t walk long distances anymore. He only takes maintenance medication for hypertension. I’d really appreciate any tips or hacks for traveling with a senior citizen. Thank you!

When I was in senior high, I was managing a small buy and sell business while also working for a relative’s business. I indicated in my resume that it was a light-work, admin and office support position. During college, ganun din, I was a working student juggling multiple responsibilities. I initially included these overlapping experiences to show that I can multitask, but now that I’m thinking about it, I’m worried it might come across as unrealistic. I need your thoughts and honest opinion.

I’m so pissed off right now. Napaka-irresponsible ng younger sibling ko (21F). Alam na nga niyang may 3 months pa siyang binabayarang utang, tapos nagawa pa niyang bumili ng iphone through installment. Hindi naman latest model, pero mahal pa rin. Proud pa siyang sabihin na “only ₱3,500/month” lang daw. Nung tinanong ko kung paano niya babayaran, ang sagot niya, gagawan niya raw ng paraan at alam niya raw na makakahanap siya ng way. Jusko, parang iniasa na lang sa universe yung pambayad niya😭

Mind you, college student pa lang siya, wala siyang source of income, wala ring work experience, at yung baon niya hinihingi pa sa mga relatives namin. Hindi rin aware ang relatives namin na may utang siyang tablet kasi ang alam nila, cash niya binili yun.

Hindi ko rin maintindihan kung paano siya na-approve ng lending company sa Power Mac. Wala siyang national ID, wala siyang bank statement, wala ring bank account. Gcash lang meron siya. Kahit down payment, wala raw hiningi sa kanya. Talagang nagtataka ako.

Ang mas nakakastress pa, kung bibili na nga lang sana ng iphone, hindi man lang nag-research kung kailan mas mura bumili😭😭😭. Sana man lang hinintay niya yung ber months para kahit papaano mas mababa yung monthly.

Malakas kutob ko na hindi niya matatapos bayaran yan. Kung magbabayad man siya, baka sa first few months lang. Nalaman niya kasi na may mga relatives kaming hindi nagbayad ng utang sa bangko worth hundreds of thousands. May isa pa nga na hindi na talaga nagbayad, tapos yung isa naman early 2000s pa yung utang pero hanggang ngayon interest na lang ang binabayaran.

Naloloka talaga ako kasi ayokong matutunan niya yung ganung mindset. Ang hirap at nakakastress mabuhay na may utang na hindi mo kayang panindigan. Sana talaga makahanap siya ng paraan para mabayaran niya yung monthly.

As the eldest sibling, ako yung kinakabahan para sa kanya. Wala na ngang pakialam sa amin yung parents namin, tapos kung anu-ano pang dagdag sakit ng ulo yung ginagawa ng kapatid ko. Pampa-check up nga sa doctor kailangan pa niyang magmakaawa sa relative namin kasi hindi siya makakapag exam nang walang medical certificate dahil absent siya during exam week, tapos ngayon may panibago na naman siyang utang? Jusko talaga.

Doon ako mas nag-aalala kasi hindi naman ito simpleng luho lang. Nakakatakot na baka nasasanay siyang gumawa ng malalaking financial decisions nang wala namang maayos na plano kung paano babayaran. Hindi pwedeng puro “gagawan ko ng paraan” at “makakahanap ako ng way” kasi hindi naman kusang nawawala ang utang. Ayoko lang talagang matutunan niya yung mindset na okay lang umutang nang umutang at bahala na sa future ang problema. Ang hirap mabuhay nang may bitbit na utang, lalo na kung wala ka pang stable na source of income.
