Nextcloud Memories Questions
New to nextcloud. Couple questions.
Q1: Is there a way to upload folders rather than individual photos? How?
Q2: I'm using this mainly to store photo's. Do I just place them under files in the photo's folder?

I'm wanting to make sure this is a good storage solution as I want full control over it. So, bear with me while I explain.
I currently user Proton Drive and have been for the last 2 years. It's great. But, I have pictures that I want to archive and keep readily available. Pictures that are basically keepsakes. Proton is great at that, however due to the e2ee it makes it painfully slow. Now, over the 2 years of me being a user it has definitely improved. But, I have pictures and videos on there that take forever to load.
I plan on spinning up a Hetzner Storage Share account and use NextCloud. I plan to place it on a subdomain of the domain I own and have it accessed to the outside. From what I have read through some articles is that NextCloud provides a brute force protection and allows you a certain number attempts before it completely bans your IP and also allows you to allowlist an IP as well. My goal is to enable that and only allow at max, 2 attempts before it bans it. I'm also adding in TOTP as added on security.
Security wise, Tailscale would be preferred but I'm trying to make this less painful as possible.
To add, my main website is not a website that is visited. In fact, there is no traffic as it's password protected and mainly serves as informative site in the event that I passed away for my family. No, PII or passwords are located on it. Just mainly what my server rack and stuff does and all that it entails in managing it.
But, has anyone set up something similar? Have you had many people or bots try to brute force it? Does the protection work? TOTP is added on. I will be having Koofr locally backup everything which wouldn't cause too many issues if something happened. Worst case scenario. Ya'know.
I still plan to keep all my documents in proton drive as that is fine. I was looking for a photo the other day and it took forever to load the thumbnails.
So what are your thoughts, has anyone done this? Is it okay with the right measures in place?
I’m still in the planning stages, so bear with me. I’m also cross-posting this to a few other subreddits to get different perspectives.
Currently, I use the Proton Suite. Proton Drive handles all of my files and photos. For regular files, it works perfectly fine for me, but I haven’t been happy with the upload/download speeds when it comes to photos. I understand that E2EE adds some overhead, but in practice it just hasn’t worked well for how I manage my photo library.
For photos that I specifically want protected with E2EE, I’ll probably continue keeping those in Proton Drive. However, for family photos and other general photo storage, I’d like to find something better suited for managing a large photo library.
I’ve looked at Ente, Filen, pCloud, Icedrive, and Koofr. They all seem like good options in their own ways, but I haven’t been impressed with their photo organization/library features, or they simply don’t offer the kind of photo management I’m looking for.
That has me considering Hetzner Storage Share combined with something like Immich.
Has anyone set up something similar using Hetzner with Immich or Nextcloud? If so, how has the experience been? Reliability, performance, backups, maintenance, etc.?
From what I can tell, going this route could actually be cheaper than paying for another dedicated cloud photo provider.
The other thing I’m trying to decide is how I would access it remotely.
I’m not thrilled about creating a subdomain and exposing the service publicly, but I could lock it down as much as possible, enable 2FA, use strong authentication, and put additional restrictions in place.
For those of you running Immich or Nextcloud remotely, what are you doing?
Ideally, I want the service available 24/7 because phones and other devices will be constantly uploading new photos to it.
I’d appreciate hearing how others have approached this, especially anyone using Hetzner, Immich, Nextcloud, or a similar setup.
To add, Hetzner keeps 7 days of backups and I will also be offloading to koofr as I have a subscription with them.
I was wanting to run a weapon laser on my SP5. I bought into the AGM WLAD and its a little big for my liking.
However, It adds some nice weight to the platform. Nothing to complain about, it levels out.
I know yall prefer the original platform but what yall think about this weapon laser/light combo on it? Should I just run it like this or find a completely different combination?
I'm looking for an electric mini bike that is similar to the ebox dragster but something that has front and rear shocks. Looking for a 60V and above. Any recommendations before I settle for the ebox?
Anyone have issues with the device connected to the UDB-IOT going to sleep or just not responding after several pings? I'm also see inconsistent pings to the actual UDB while Wi-Fi is more than sufficient in the area.
This is a very niche case, but I have a fuelmaster unit that has a network expansion card in it and it takes at least 4-5 pings before I can actually ping it. I'm also noticing the UDB-IOT is dropping every few packets. This goes for anything else connected to it.
UDB-IOT has been fully updated and both addresses have been statically assigned.

Can someone please share some pictures on how you mounted your G6 PTZ to a utility post? Trying to see what mount fits best with it and if any other equipment was used to get the look you wanted.
Im not sure if this has been explained. But if the dirty bomb hit around our time period (irl). Shouldn't their systems/computers be a little more modern and sophisticated? I couldn't imagine the founders rounding up 90's/00's tech to implement in such a facility. I understand the thought of giving them older tech to limit their access but as someone in the IT field over 20 years. Its still just as dangerous and you can still implement safeguards to protect users abusing the system with newer technology with custom software.
Maybe im looking too deep into this...
Has anyone been able to successfully install this on Fedora 44 KDE? I can download ScreenConnect.ClientSetup.sh, make it into an executable and install it. But, the moment I try to access a computer, no window shows up.
What have you built for your company using Claude Code, AI agents, or similar tools? Whether it helps your users, automates tasks, or just makes your own job easier, I'd love to hear about what you've created and how it's working for you. I'm trying to get ideas.
I've created a Power Automate (PA) scheduled cloud flow that sends a list of my daily calendar events to a private Teams channel at 6:30 AM each morning and mentions me through a Teams workflow. The flow is working as expected; however, I'm having trouble formatting the output.
What I'd like is for the message to display like this:
Daily Schedule - 06/06/2026
08:00 AM - Meeting A
10:00 AM - Meeting B
01:00 PM - Meeting C
Instead, all of the events are being displayed as a single run-on line of text.
I've tried multiple approaches and have used Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot for troubleshooting, but I still haven't been able to get the formatting to display correctly in Teams. Does anyone have any ideas on how to format the output so that each event appears on its own line?
Any output from the LLM's above even copilot, when placed in the value box, it wants me to recreate the expression.
Here is what I have and a screenshot below.
concat(decodeUriComponent('%0A'), '• ', item()?['subject'], ' ⏰ ', formatDateTime(item()?['start'], 'hh:mm tt'), ' – ', formatDateTime(item()?['end'], 'hh:mm tt'), decodeUriComponent('%0A'))
I'm now seeing a lot more posts about Starlink jacking their prices. Here is what we got slammed with.
For the business side, went from 96k/year to almost 500k/year with pooled data. Insane.
Need Amazon Leo and other contenders in the sky.
I'm not selling, buying, or trading on here. Just looking to see if I'm offering this gun at the appropriate price on armslist.
I have a Staccato C24 with an Acro optic. Comes with the carrying case and extra mag.
Bought 1.5 years ago, shot maybe 7 rounds through it.
$2800? No defects. Clean. Fair price? Too much?
I got my son one of those little Razor 500 quads and I'm looking to get a ebox dragster to rip around with him on. Much better investment rather than something sitting in my safe.
I’m looking at getting an EBOX Dragster to cruise around my small neighborhood. As funny as it sounds, I ride with my son on his Razor dirt quad, and my tailbone is always killing me afterward. The quad is tiny, but somehow both of us still fit on it.
My main question is for current owners of the Dragster do you think both my son and I could comfortably fit on one together? I’m 6’9”, 240 lbs, with a stocky build, and my son is 3 years old. We love riding around together, and while we’d ideally get a golf cart or a larger bike someday, we just don’t have the space for one right now.
From what I’ve seen, the Dragster looks like a blast, but I’m worried it may not be big enough for the both of us. Any insight, pictures, or firsthand experience would be appreciated. The seat looks long enough and eventually i'll be able to trust my son to ride alone in the neighborhood but we are still practicing on listening and doing it in the backyard. I'd hate for an incident to happen.
