Meat cake

Made this a while ago, might be time to try another variation.

Smoked meat patties layered with cheese and bacon, iced with mashed potato, with a smoked cheese sauce drizzle

My gallstones - removed 6 weeks ago

https://imgur.com/a/n4ZYiZR

Originally declined for surgery (said I would benefit from it, but I’m not high enough priority, high pain tolerance).
Had an unrelated procedure recently and the specialist was horrified to hear I still had my gallbladder and referred me back to the surgeon essentially insisting.

Instant relief!

Anyone managed to learn to “love” cardio?

So I’m openly a cardio hater. I find it boring, I overthink too much, and as soon as I start, I’m counting the minutes until I can finish.

I’ve managed strength training really well for about 16 months, and about the 10 month mark I started to add in incline walking to the end of my workouts. But from all my previous attempts, cardio has been the killer, to the point I’ve given up the gym entirely because of how boring it is.

I know it’s important, and I desperately want to change, but I’m so nervous of hating it and quitting again.

I’ve tried watching movies/series, audiobook, different kinds of cardio. Just can’t find my thing.

I want to hear other people’s stories on how they got into it!

Adult position pillow - update

Well the pillow arrived the day I had surgery so have been patiently waiting to trial and update.

Got amazing suggestions but went with this one https://www.mightyape.co.nz/mn/buy/traderightnz-dreamz-bedding-wedge-pillow-memory-foam-cushion-back-neck-support-bamboo-25cm-eg0134-wh-25/ because of the price.

The foam is firm and doesn’t squish down under weight.
I can see how the shapes and curves of the more expensive ones would benefit, but I imagine practice makes perfect.
The cover is easy to remove and clean
Great height.

Wish I’d got one sooner! It made things easier, better angles, and just overall a whole lot of fun!!

12 weeks difference.

Forced into putting more thought into food and it’s made a huge difference. Down about 9kg.

The journey started over a year ago, and am down about 27kg overall with strength training and a slight alter to my diet

Low fat bbq and a “buckie”

Had surgery last week and am on an extremely low fat diet for a little while.
Not letting that stop me getting the bbq fired up!
Smoked cottage cheese and mushrooms on a chicken burger.
Can’t wait to have freedom to get some proper food back on here.
And a bucket bong or 2 while I waited.

Husband bought me post surgery munchies

Had my gallbladder out a couple of days ago and have to eat low fat. Husband wanted to make sure I could still satisfy the munchies

All the things, and the things to dip them in

Smoked lamb leg, crackers, chicken tenders, chips, Kranskys, fresh bread, cucumber.

Onion dip, gravy, aioli, tomato sauce, hummus and cheese sauce.

Kids put in requests and I just put it all together

A little nostalgia on a rainy Sunday.

Pulled out the Sega Megadrive and the N64, which haven’t been played much since childhood.

Kids are really into WWE so introduced them to WCW/nWo revenge
