A budding chaos army needs a chaos lord. WIP Urkhan
A glorious model either way
Everything is *almost finished* except this one Glutton!
Everything is so much of a joy to paint
First time painting faction terrain, looking forward to painting minis to rally around it!
Gonna be putting a cheap airbrush through its paces with lava bases (hopefully).
The Varanguard are sub assembly, as is Urkhan, any tips for assembling knights?
WIP: Not a huge fan of my progress on the Bloodpelt - but I do like his base
Bit more tundra than tiaga than I'd like - but the whole model is a test for the new release! Not used to painting skin, trying new things out, this is my model to make mistakes on for sure
Models for a beginner hobbyist
Hey all
My girlfriend has never painted any models, I paint and play a few armies and her dad always painted airfix, so shes got a broad range of knowledge of paint and brands glues and all that but never actually painted or assembled anything.
She loves night haunt, both the models and the ghostly paint vibes
Im ordering myself the new ogor army box when it comes out and I thought it would be nice to assemble and paint some things together
It would be contrast paint and the 'traditional' colors, so probably whatever warhipster has popped out
But i have no idea what models to get her.
I dont want to buy her a whole army, and one big thing seems a bit of a waste
What in the range is easy to put together (but not push fit if it can be helped) and clip out? My concern is a lot of spindly bits that may easily snap!
Dumb question regarding bases
Am I safe to assume the new army box will be using the same bases for the models as they are currently?
40s with 50s for the tyrant?
Any idea for the new mounted?
I have a bunch of spare bases after resin printed a fair few sculpted ones and was thinking about testing some schemes out
Does anyone have a size comparison of Ku'Gath, a GUO and the TW3 GUO?
Just out of curiosity, I assume the TW3 and GW GUO are similar sizes, but i am unsure about Kugath
SBG as a side project- Vengorian Lord!
Whenever im tired of painting dirty shabby mechanical failing bits of skaven i like digging into graves! Vengorian Lord, which was also nice practise on red armor for the Blood Knights!
Ever since I had a rheumatoid flare up in my knee - ive had a bald patch
[Online] [5e 2024] [Thursday 7pm GMT] [BiWeekly] 1 Player wanted for Dungeons of Drakkenheim
Hi! I’m looking for one additional player to join an barely started Dungeons & Dragons 2024 campaign: Dungeons of Drakkenheim.
We are currently one session in, so this is a great point to join without feeling dropped into the deep end.
The party has just arrived in Emberwood Village the last relatively safe settlement outside the ruins of Drakkenheim, a rough frontier town packed with treasure hunters, mercenaries, pilgrims, scholars, and opportunists all hoping to profit from the fallen city.
Campaign Details
• System: Dnd 5.5 2024 rules
• Campaign: Dungeons of Drakkenheim
• Schedule: Thursdays, biweekly
• Time: 7:00 PM GMT for 3 Hours
• Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord
• Tone: Dark fantasy, eldritch horror, faction intrigue, exploration
About the Setting
Drakkenheim was destroyed fifteen years ago when a meteor struck the city, covering it in toxic magical haze and mutating much of what remained. Now, countless factions fight over the ruins and the mysterious crystal substance known as delirium.
The campaign is heavily driven by faction politics and player choice. The five major factions currently active are:
• The Queen’s Men – Criminal gangs, smugglers, and thieves operating throughout the ruins.
• The Hooded Lanterns - Former city guards and soldiers trying to reclaim Drakkenheim and restore the rule of Law.
• The Amethyst Academy - Powerful mage faction seeking magical knowledge and control of delirium.
• The Followers of the Falling Fire - Religious pilgrims who believe the meteor was a divine event and delirium is sacred.
• The Silver Order - Fanatical holy knights determined to purge corruption and destroy the city if necessary.
At the moment, the party seems to be leaning toward working with the Queen’s Men, though nothing is locked in and alliances can absolutely change depending on player actions.
What to Expect
• Dangerous expeditions into the ruins
• Meaningful faction choices
• Horror and corruption mechanics
• Combat that can be deadly if approached recklessly
• A living world where choices matter
Looking For domeone who:
• Enjoys roleplay and collaborative storytelling
• Likes morally grey choices and faction intrigue
• Wants to build a character tied into the world
• Is comfortable with darker fantasy themes
You do not need prior knowledge of Drakkenheim to join.
If interested, please fill out the below form and ill contact someone this weekend!
https://forms.gle/rj6oXc31cZS1f6EL7
Even though the campaign has started ill happily go through S0 notes with you to help build a character that fits the setting and game
So far we have a druid, warlock, and rogue.
The haze is waiting.
A little rough- but the skaven are (mostly) done!
Minus Crixxit and the bomb rats, he needs a little more work!
Finished (almost) the new spearhead!
Crixxit needs finishing as does the both rats!
Aimed for tabletop quality, and the purple warpstone sludge (?) Is because im painting warpstone purple!
As title really
Im not sure if theres an easy *hack* for painting glass vials with a liquid in, every tutorial video seems to be about 8 different paints and more indepth than id like
If theres no easy fix, ill just paitnt them solid
Are they good on the tabletop? I want to find a reason to run more than one unit now!
