r/TheLastAirbender does not allow any images/video of alleged leaks from Avatar Seven Havens. This includes storyboards, concept art, and other kinds of art. Basically anything that is an image claiming to be real but not officially released.

You can still discuss rumors, and "leaked info", including info on what happens in storyboards or animatics. But you can cannot post the images/video here or provide any direct links to where they are posted elsewhere. Additionally we don't want the subreddit to be flooded with posts on this topic. Please keep your thoughts and discussion to this thread.

Do keep in mind that out of context development material may not be the best reflection of the series even if real. The episodes will begin to release in a little over a week anyway.

You may want to check out our sister sub r/AvatarSevenHavens or the small alternative sub r/AvatarLeaks which have different policies regarding leaks. That said still be careful about posting leaked images/video anywhere , as previously copyright removals were issued.

I) Intro & Notes

This is a collection of relatively recent mod-posted community discussion threads on tv shows & movies. From both our own subreddit as well as relevant sister subs.

• In regards to tv shows, typically the linked thread will be a hub of some kind which links to individual episode threads as well as a hub for the season. The hubs are usually spoiler free, though the actual discussions allow spoilers for the relevant project and all older content unless otherwise noted.
• For reference our sub ( r/TheLastAirbender ) is for the whole franchise & universe while r/ATLA is focused on the original cartoon and other ATLA-specific content. r/ATLAtv is narrowly for the Netflix ATLA. The rest I mention here should be self-explanatory.
• Also for brevity I'll mark discussions from our sub as "TLA", from r/legendofkorra as "LoK", and r/AvatarSevenHavens as "ASH".

• The ATLA rewatch in Summer 2020 was our most successful so far, and specifically designed to be friendly to fans new to Avatar. If you are a new fan yourself, or otherwise looking to read or engage with comments from an older event of this kind it is the one I most readily recommend.

Hey folks.

I) Spoilers

• The new animated film, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (AA:TLA) , has been officially available for more than two months now. As such you no longer need to spoiler mark posts about the film.
• Still don't go out of your way to spoil someone who has expressed they are new to Avatar or haven't seen the film yet. Especially in threads using the post flair "Original Series Only".

II) r/ATLA sub focus

• This subreddit is specifically focused on ATLA, not Avatar in general. So that means our topic is the original cartoon, ATLA comics, Netflix ATLA, the movie, and other stuff starring Aang and in his era.
• But NOT: Legend of Korra , various books set pre-ATLA, fan projects about some ancient/future avatar, or the new show Avatar Seven Havens. Do not post your reviews or thoughts or news on Seven Havens here, it will be removed.
• That said we do allow "crossover posts" (for lack of a better term). As in comparisons between Aang and Korra, discussions of how the ATLA characters were used in LoK, or art where Aang fights Amon.

III) Tweak/Clarification

• Some "crossover posts" have gotten some reports/complaints. In particular stuff that is mostly about something non-ATLA or looks at various parts of the universe, but something ATLA is mentioned in passing or makes up a small piece of the whole picture.
• Because of this I want to be clear moving forward. Posts have to be more significantly ATLA - specific. That all posts must in some way genuinely be focused on /about: "ATLA" or "ATLA and X" not "Avatar/X including ATLA". Or otherwise clearly aiming to spark discussion about ATLA.

IV) Other Subs

If your post isn't about ATLA you may want to consider the below subreddits.

• r/TheLastAirbender - Main sub for the whole franchise / universe
• r/AvatarSevenHavens - The specific spot for the new show.
• r/legendofkorra - Like us but for everything LoK.
• r/Avatar_Kyoshi- A sub for the novels, their protagonists, and more broadly a look at the lore/universe with an emphasis on written works which don't fall neatly within the banner of a show or movie.
• r/ATLAtv - Narrowly focused on Netflix's ATLA

I) "Avatar Aang The Last Airbender" Spoiler Period Over

• The film has been out for a month now so you can discuss it without restriction. In general no need to spoiler mark posts/comments about the movie.
• That said if someone you are replying to in a thread that's not about the movie clearly hasn't seen it (and hasn't said they are okay being spoiled) don't go out of your way to comment major spoilers.

II) Where to Watch AATLA

Streaming

• "Paramount +" anywhere it is available as an independent streaming service
• "Sky Showtime" in at least some of the European countries that have that service
• "Amazon Prime" in India
• "Neon" in New Zealand

Other Places to Watch

• PVOD (digital purchase) on platforms like Amazon at least in the US
• You can try using JustWatch to search for availability in your country.

Misc info

• As for DVD/Bluray there has not been official confirmation one way or the other.
• The movie has been dubbed/subbed in several different languages, but they are oddly region locked.

I) Join Our Mod Team!

Hey folks. The subreddit has continued to grow over the years, and with Seven Havens in October (plus more Avatar Studios projects on the horizon) we expect it become even more active in the coming months/years. As such we could use some extra hands on our mod team. Mods are responsible for enforcing the rules, responding to issues, and just helping our community to run smoothly.

Important Notes

• Our mod team uses discord to communicate with each other, so you must have or be willing to create a discord account.
• If you previously applied (or otherwise expressed interest) to be a mod here you are allowed/encouraged to re-apply.
• There is no specific timezone / availability requirement, and we are hoping to bring on a decent number of mods in general. But preference will be given to applicants who are available to help out when our American mods are generally asleep.
• Edit: Applications will remain open as long as this thread is pinned, which will be for another two weeks.

Rule One: Be Courteous

• Added new clause "Some fans like different aspects of the franchise or different kinds of fan content. The comments of a Fan Art (or other creative work) post is not an appropriate place to express your distaste for the type of content or subject matter. "
• The rest of the rule was reworded/condensed but essentially remains the same, encompassing a wide range of uncivil behavior.

Rule Two: Keep Content Avatar Related

• Added the clause "Posts simply complaining about or provoking issues with other subs/forums are banned.".

With all of that out of the way... "Avatar Aang The Last Airbender" (AATLA) is a feature length animated film, the first from Avatar Studios. The story is set around twelve years after the original cartoon.

• The film is available on the streaming service "Paramount +", and for those near NYC and LA there is a limited theatrical run.
