Watching a horror movie made me realize overtime (even paid) is not worth it
Aside from realizing I won’t freakin survive a zombie apocalypse after watching a horror movie, I FURTHER REALIZED my takeaway from the character extending his shift is FUCKING NOT SOMETHING I SHOULD DO EVER. 🤣 even if twice the pay lol
And how toxic my work is for me to realize that while watching a horror movie. 🤦

Asked for a raise was told to find another job. So I did
They then asked if on my last ship I could prep everything for a month and freeze it, so I didn’t show up and started my vacation early I start my new job Monday at $7/hr higher than what I asked them for

Jobs are a LUXURY now
Like it or not, having a job is a luxury now post covid-19. The difficult truth is that there are not enough jobs for everyone, and definitely not enough that can support a family. I won’t be surprised if homelessness starts dramatically increasing soon, especially for neurodivergent people.
My work quality has been great, but Ive been fired from 2 jobs this year alone due to corporate office politics aka “cultural fit”. You have to make it through all these interviews only to deal with more BS when actually getting hired…Proceed at your own caution through this recruiting hellscape. Good luck. I’m definitely changing industries and getting out of the corporate world.
PS: Do not work at companies with peer policing. It’s a lazy form of management that should be illegal.

I'm crashing out
18 months of unemployment and I've pretty much given up, even did this on a recent application. Also related - I have an interview with a temp agency on Monday... Maybe they'll find something for me even though the jobs they have listed don't match my skills

How aren’t we in a revolution or something yet
Everyday that I go to work. 10 hours a day 6x a week. Just to pay rent and barely have any fun. I feel like I’m gonna explode. And I know that many Americans are dealing with the same thing. How is the majority of the workforce not explode or burned out yet.
