Time for new tires/wheels?

Time for new tires/wheels?

Alright y'all I've had my RT615k+s for 2 years and 9000 miles... Tread is at 4/32 in the front (seen here) and 3/32 in the rear. SoCal is due for a very wet winter. New wheels and tires would cost me two grand....but I imagine I should pull the trigger soon? Probably worth putting the money forth to be safe than sorry. Thinking 205/45/16 Conti ECS02 with 16x8 Dekagrams. I would go 205/50 but I want to save as much unsprung weight as possible. Plus I love Continental tires.

How do my RT615k+s look?

These two have been on the front for about 1500 miles since last rotation. I do a lot of canyon driving and have about 9000 miles on my set. The rears are down to 3/32 and these are at 4/32. With a supposed wet autumn ahead should I consider replacement or are they good for a while longer?

I'm crashing out

18 months of unemployment and I've pretty much given up, even did this on a recent application. Also related - I have an interview with a temp agency on Monday... Maybe they'll find something for me even though the jobs they have listed don't match my skills

How does this rotor look?

The right rear seems to be the one in the worst shape. I'm not really noticing a decrease in brake performance yet but to me this looks a bit concerning. The right front isn't much better.

Dizzy burb/pop low setting?

Anyone have any sound clips of the dizzy burb or pop map with the low option? I'm contemplating getting it just for a little extra drama, but I don't want to blow out the cat or be obnoxious. The natural sound I get from my milltek non res race catback is nice I just want a little more without going crazy.

Nearing end of life after 8500 miles?

In order of photos - LF, RF, RR, LR

Fronts measure at ~4/32 and rears at 3/32 from what I could tell.

I drive my tuned Fiesta ST hard everywhere, and frequently have my tires rotated, thankfully. But I don't think these tires will last much longer. Especially thinking about replacement since I'm in SoCal and we're supposed to have a very wet fall/winter this year. How much longer you think these Falken RT615K's will last?

Think I'm going to go with Conti ECS02 next since they should last a ton longer, and do excellent in wet even with my aggressive driving style.

Crazy one month transformation!

These photos were taken one month apart. June 11 and today, July 11. Thai chili pepper that I accidentally used a f ton of fertilizer on cause I was being a dumb noob. Decided I should overwinter it and tried my absolute best to bring it back. I think it's safe to say I succeeded!

Interview - what to expect?

Hey all, my last job I had was with Lithia Motors as a parts driver but they let me go. I have an interview with a different smaller company (envision motors) coming up on Monday for a parts counter associate. Kind of a niche question, but has anyone worked for envision, or both Lithia and envision, and explain the differences between the two management wise? I wanted to be a parts counter guy at lithia but that never happened obviously. Any tips for interviewing would be appreciated too! Thanks.

Bloom booster experiment

I have these two thai chili plants in smaller containers. The one on the left is blooming already, with about a dozen flowers/buds. so I got the idea to experiment and give it some Alaska Morbloom, and leave the one on the right alone. Same size plant, different nutrients. Excited to see the results!

How does bitwarden protect me?

Hey all, about 7 hours ago, I started getting bombarded with emails about verification codes or password resets from about a dozen companies I have email logins to, and a hacker got a hold of two of them, but I was able to disable both of those accounts to prevent further breaching. I signed up for bitwarden afterwards and imported my passwords to every site have used. About 400 of them. Since I did that, the emails have stopped. How does bitwarden exactly work to stop these sort of hacks from happening again? Basically /ELI5

First time growing reapers!

Bought these two reapers from a nursery nearby. I picked off all buds and transplanted them today. Used foxfarm happy frog soil and a dose of 4-4-4 fertilizer. Each are in 5 gallon grow bags. Looking forward to seeing how these turn out!

OneUi 9 beta

Who's running the beta on their main device and how has the experience been? I've been on the fence about installing it but when I was an iPhone user I ran betas all the time. How is the latest build both bug and battery wise? On average I'm getting about 12 hours of use from 100 down to 20 percent with about 7 hours SOT with oneUI 8.5. Should I bite the bullet or nah?

B4P at $200 for Prime Day worth it?

Bit of context here. I recently switched from Apples Ecosystem to Samsung and have A S26U and galaxy watch. Only thing left in the ecosystem is earbuds. I have Airpods Pro 2 currently and they work just fine obviously but aren't seamless like they were with the iPhone. Is it Worth the switch? Let me know your thoughts.

How can I save this thai chili plant?

Hey everyone, I bought this plant from a nursery two weeks ago. It was actually a set of two plants but the other plant in there was dominated and killed by this one, so i transplanted this one into terracotta, watered it and it went into shock. Its been a week since I transplanted and moved to shade. I watered it yesterday for the first time since transplant. I am kinda lost on what to do next. I had pruned all the dead stuff off already and I see some new growth up top. Should i use fish emulsion? Or just leave it alone until it needs water? Again i'm kinda lost. Any advice would be appreciated.

Was this the right move?

Bought two birds eye chili plants and planted them in the same pot. They've been growing chilis but the plant itself is kinda stagnant, so i plucked all the chilis off to force new growth. I'm fairly new to plants and especially to pepper plants. Also used a very small amount of triple 16 after harvesting since these two plants seem low on nitrogen. I have a couple other young thai dragon plants as well that are the characteristic deep green. Haven't flowered yet.

Did I do the right thing?? Any tips would be appreciated.

What're we all doing to improve battery life?

I have already enabled the light performance profile, disabled apps running in the background, push notifications from most apps are disabled, among other things. According to digital wellbeing my current SOT for the day is 3h38m and i'm at 59 percent. Any suggestions?

Fast charging 3.0 options?

What charger is everyone using? I’ve been using an anker 737 GANprime 120 watt charger (since 2022) and can get super fast charging, but not 2.0 or 3.0 and am wondering what the best option for a brick would be. Currently looking at this one.

Want the fastest charging possible. With my current charger, peak is about 120% per hour

Switch from AW Ultra to GW7?

Would it be worth almost doing a direct trade? For context I just switched from iPhone to android and would love another smart warch/fitness/wellness tracker. I'm leaning toward the garmin Venu4 HOWEVER the GW7 is on sale at best buy for $199 and my trade in value is $185. They also have the 44mm one for $229 Would it be worth taking the minor $$ hit for basically a straight trade, or should I keep waiting for an offer on my AWU?

Apple watch ultra Android replacement

Hey all, first post here. I recently switched from Apple to android and am looking to replace my apple watch ultra since it's unusable with android. Im primarily looking for fitness/sleep/wellness tracking but being able to mirror notifications is nice too. I definitely don't want a fitbit. They're not really smart watches anyway. I'm trying to decide between the Garmin vivoactive 6, Venu 4, and even the galaxy watch 7 since it's cheaper, but battery life and price is a huge factor in my choices. Anyone with insight can chime in. Thanks.

iPhone to android after 15 years in the Apple ecosystem

Just got an S26U for under $700 for trading in my IPhone 15 pro max. Feels good to be back on android after 15 years. My last android was an HTC Evo 4G and since 2012 I’ve been Apple only. Feels good to be back! Just gonna have to figure out what to do with my Apple Watch Ultra now. Definitely gonna miss the watch, that’s for sure.
