Atwood parfum review ⛵

Atwood parfum is an indie/niche perfume brand inspired by Cape cod, specifically Provincetown! Provincetown is known for being an LBTQ+ hotspot and is overall just gorgeous.
My husband and I went to Cape Cod for our honeymoon so the area is near and dear to my heart. So onwards, to my newbie review!
Boy beach: Fig, dune grass, hot skin, salty sea breeze.
One me this one begins with something more woody and dry - almost scratchy. I assume it's the gune grass? It's not my favorite note. After about an hour though it settles down into a lovely sweet skin scent. The fig is there, smelling like nectar and there's a faint hint of sunscreen if you take a deep enough whiff. The salty breeze is very fresh, it's more ocean than bay if you know what I mean lol.
I love this one so much but it seems to fade faster on me. I'm really addicted to the hint of sunscreen in this! It makes me curious what the real life Boy Beach is like, but it's an adult nude beach so I'll have to pass 😝
Penuche: Salty breeze, leather grips, vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone.
A lot of reviews raved about the waffle cone note but unfortunately my nose doesn't pick it up really at all. But the *leather* note! I'm usually put off by leather notes but this is so smooth and warm. It reminds me of when I walked into a handmade leather store in Italy. The leather has an almost sweet quality to it which is hard to explain if you've never smelled this type of leather before. The owner cites bicycle seats as the inspiration but if you've ever been to Provincetown the first thing you might think of is the plethora of ahem...leather stores 🤭
I do really like this one. As it is it's a scent I would prefer to spritz on my husband than wear myself but I may try to layer it with more ice cream scents to see if I can coax out that waffle cone.
Beech Forest: Pitch pine, dry sandy forest floor, coyote musk, dry wood.
This scent gets a lot of hype for how realistic it is and I AGREE. Wow. He has absolutely without a doubt captured this place in a bottle. It is sitting in the shade of an evergreen forest in the afternoon when the temperature has just begun to drop. To me this scent leans very masculine with the heavy resinous woods and I am definitely considering full sizing this for my husband. Which I need to emphasize is a big deal because I've been in a loyal relationship with his Versace pour Homme, but this is the only scent I've ever smelled that has competed in my brain.
Overall. These scents are all beautiful. I had all the samples in a little baggy and they smell divine all mixed together! The owner really is capturing little pieces of cape cod and bottling them up. I was really skeptical at first because the marketing reminded me a lot of other companies out there promising to bottle up memories of places but not really living up to the idea. I'm really looking forward to following the creators journey as he adds more smells to his catalogue!
Yes I found a hydrangea bush to pick just for this little photo op. Do not tell my leasing office. I repeat. Do not tell my leasing office I damaged their landscaping.
