Atwood parfum review ⛵

Atwood parfum is an indie/niche perfume brand inspired by Cape cod, specifically Provincetown! Provincetown is known for being an LBTQ+ hotspot and is overall just gorgeous.

My husband and I went to Cape Cod for our honeymoon so the area is near and dear to my heart. So onwards, to my newbie review!

Boy beach: Fig, dune grass, hot skin, salty sea breeze.

One me this one begins with something more woody and dry - almost scratchy. I assume it's the gune grass? It's not my favorite note. After about an hour though it settles down into a lovely sweet skin scent. The fig is there, smelling like nectar and there's a faint hint of sunscreen if you take a deep enough whiff. The salty breeze is very fresh, it's more ocean than bay if you know what I mean lol.

I love this one so much but it seems to fade faster on me. I'm really addicted to the hint of sunscreen in this! It makes me curious what the real life Boy Beach is like, but it's an adult nude beach so I'll have to pass 😝

Penuche: Salty breeze, leather grips, vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone.

A lot of reviews raved about the waffle cone note but unfortunately my nose doesn't pick it up really at all. But the *leather* note! I'm usually put off by leather notes but this is so smooth and warm. It reminds me of when I walked into a handmade leather store in Italy. The leather has an almost sweet quality to it which is hard to explain if you've never smelled this type of leather before. The owner cites bicycle seats as the inspiration but if you've ever been to Provincetown the first thing you might think of is the plethora of ahem...leather stores 🤭

I do really like this one. As it is it's a scent I would prefer to spritz on my husband than wear myself but I may try to layer it with more ice cream scents to see if I can coax out that waffle cone.

Beech Forest: Pitch pine, dry sandy forest floor, coyote musk, dry wood.

This scent gets a lot of hype for how realistic it is and I AGREE. Wow. He has absolutely without a doubt captured this place in a bottle. It is sitting in the shade of an evergreen forest in the afternoon when the temperature has just begun to drop. To me this scent leans very masculine with the heavy resinous woods and I am definitely considering full sizing this for my husband. Which I need to emphasize is a big deal because I've been in a loyal relationship with his Versace pour Homme, but this is the only scent I've ever smelled that has competed in my brain.

Overall. These scents are all beautiful. I had all the samples in a little baggy and they smell divine all mixed together! The owner really is capturing little pieces of cape cod and bottling them up. I was really skeptical at first because the marketing reminded me a lot of other companies out there promising to bottle up memories of places but not really living up to the idea. I'm really looking forward to following the creators journey as he adds more smells to his catalogue!

Yes I found a hydrangea bush to pick just for this little photo op. Do not tell my leasing office. I repeat. Do not tell my leasing office I damaged their landscaping.

Laser tattoo removal?

Anyone know of a good laser tattoo removal place? I've heard mixed reviews about removery. Are the med spas a decent choice? I have a couple pieces I've been trying to fade for coverups.

Painted ceramic charms, but actually handmade?

I fell in love with some necklaces in this style at a craft fair recently, but it looks like they more than likely are just reselling these charms from shein.

Does anyone know of some artists selling their actual handmade ceramic jewelry in this style?

These light purple flowers? Southern New Hampshire

They're all along the highways right now. The stems are gone like and the leaves are the fern looking ones.

Sorce collection review! 🫈

With my personal Sorce collection almost complete I think it's a good time to ramble out my thoughts on each and every one!

These impressions are all for the oil perfumes. Sadly there is something in Sorce's alcohol based formula that causes my asthma to react to many of their scents, so oil it is!

Match made in heaven

This scent is addictive to me because it captures *the freezer smell*. When you were a kid did you ever play out in the hot summer sun for hours and hours, grass clipping sticking to your sweaty skin and cicadas screaming, to then come inside to grab a Popsicle only for that sweet sweet freezer air to smack you in the face? This perfume has that! And I love it. The other notes combine to remind me of a Starbucks green tea frappuccino. Delicious.

A witch's valentine

To me this one is comprised of three notes: rose, marshmallow and raspberry. They're all at the forefront like BAM, BAM, BAM. The vibes are sexy local witch foraging for raspberries with a coy smile on her face. Maybe she'll feed them to her lover tonight for valentines day? This is what I wear when I want to feel like a powerful witch babe.

Ephemera

My love my love. I originally tried out the alcohol base of this one which had a hint of something floral in the background along with the beautiful paper and pumpkin. The oil however doesn't seem to have that depth on my skin. This is one scent I will probably buy a travel spray of someday to layer it up!

Ephemera conjures up the image of a young lady sitting under a picnic blanket against a big oak tree as she shuffles through a bunch of notes studying for an exam. Where does the fresh pumpkin note come into play? Who knows, maybe she got frustrated in her studies and drop kicked a nearby gourd. Haven't we all been there?

Where the wild things grow I

Strawberry goodness! I've seen one of you lovelies describe the strawberry note as strawberry soda and I agree! It feels very strawberry Ramune to me. If you've never tried Ramune I highly recommend it! It's balanced really well with the green elements.

I will say I tried this one originally looking for the smell you get when you go berry picking, with the hot sun beating down on all those yummy berries all day and they just give off this delicious ripe scent. This is more like the day after they've been sitting in the A/C overnight and moms about to make a cobbler but you grab a few for a snack.

I DID get to try Where the wild things grow II in the Sorce store recently as a lot of people say that one smells more natural to them. Really it's just heavier on the green elements with less emphasis on the strawberry. Sort of like when you plant your own strawberry plants and it just started producing berries.

This is not a love spell

I am terrible at describing floral scents as I'm still testing them out! So as a newb I can't tell you which flowers I'm smelling, just that I love the balance of them. Like taking a walk through the botanical gardens when the summer blooms are out. Gosh I really like summer apparently?

English major

When I first put this one I smell delicious vanilla and paper but apparently my skin will amp up anything that could be considered a smokey note, so I have to really sniff to get the paper. It's very cozy though, like sitting by a fire reading a book in a dim study. It's probably what Beast's castle smells like in beauty and the beast.

And done!

Thanks for reading! I hope this helps someone pick out a scent someday 🙂‍↕️

Upcoming ride along suitcase

I'm thinking about picking this up tomorrow. If they've sold them before how have they held up? Think it could hold a 3yo lol?

Someone please help me with this obuhimo?

I feel like I need an obuhimo for dummies course. This is my 18mo in the Lenny lamb toddler obuhimo pro. She's sitting so low that the fabric is rubbing her chin. She can't really turn her head well and her neck is craned back. I can't figure out how to adjust it to make her sit higher? She meets all of the sizing requirements for the carrier!

Fuel tips?

I haven't finished a full playthrough of the year yet but I'm really struggling with fuel. Between the forge and the smokers it's hard to keep things going. I have 3 charcoal kilns that I keep running but it still isn't enough, and then I need logs.

Any fuel tips? Do y'all usually designate certain fuel types to certain machines? I almost exclusively use charcoal for the smelting but sometimes I use regular coal and it just feels like a waste..

I've seen comments saying you can when you're hunting for particular crafting recipes, but I've tried for a couple in game days now and haven't seen one chest on any of the floors containing an elevator?
