I use my Ralph's card at Ralph's but would like the best cash back card for the groceries category when I shop at non-Ralphs/Kroger stores. I do not show at club stores or warehouse stores. There aren't any in my area.

Second Sensor problem in a row-can I open another request with Abbott?

I experienced my first failed sensor on Sunday. I got the "replace sensor" pop-up (Your sensor runs continuous quality checks and it has shut itself down for your safety). I did report it to Abbott and a replacement is in process of being sent.

I placed another sensor on Sunday at 4pm. It's been over 24 hours since this placement and I'm getting a bunch of low glucose readings. When I get these, I do a finger stick to check and they are wildly off. I am not low and there can be a difference of 80 points between what the sensor is reporting and what the finger stick reading is. Finger stick being higher.

I'm looking at the Event log and it looks like I'm getting 57 several times a day, not just at the date/time I started the new sensor.

Can I report an issue with this sensor while there's still an open request on my last sensor or do I have to wait until I get a specific error message on this current one?

How common is being forced by management to hire a clients kid? Non-attorney for non-attorney full time job

I’m a business professional at a V50 firm. This is my first job in big law. Yesterday I was told my department is hiring a clients kid, who interned with us last summer, for a full time job that we needed to invent.

Just wondering how common this is in big law because I never ran across it in the other fields I’ve worked in.

What to do with visiting relatives on July 3?

My cousin (57) and his wife (56) are visiting for 4th of July weekend. My cousin grew up here. They are staying in West LA and I live in Beverly Grove. We will all have access to cars. Our plans for the 4th are set, but I need something interesting to do with them on the night of the 3rd. I've been looking for interesting events in all of the regular places, but just not seeing much for the 3rd. Has anyone seen anything cool happening the night of the 3rd? It doesn't need to be 4th of July related.

How many failed meters have you had?

I thought I was going to be lucky, but I just had my first fail. This was on my third meter (I’m new to using a CGM). I know everyone’s experience is different but I’m wondering if statistically I can expect one out of every three to fail?

Places to dispose of needles safely?

There used to be a drop box at the Sheriffs station but that’s no longer there. Can anyone recommend an alternative?

Is movement at the associate and counsel level normal?

I’m a business professional (non-lawyer) at an v50 firm. As part of my role I receive a daily report of terminations and hires. Lately it seems like a lot of Associates and Counsel are leaving the firm. I’m trying to determine if this is a sign that I need to start looking for a new job. I get especially nervous when I see Counsel-level people leaving for other firms. Do counsel level leave because it’s been made clear to them that they aren’t going to ever make partner?

I do also see a lot of hiring of new partners and counsel so maybe it just balances all out?

Should I give up on Target Credit Card every syncing with One Step Update?

It has been intermittently syncing over the past few years, mostly not, especially now that I think there's a new layer of 2FA. Has anyone been able to get this to work? It would sometimes prompt me for the 2FA code when it did sync but now it just doesn't update. Connection method is Express Web Connect. Is there another option (other than manual entry)?

Do you think your Teams chats are being monitored?

The other day a co-worker was venting to me on Teams about how they felt underappreciated and were going to start talking to the recruiters they keep hearing from. It got me wondering how much of our Teams chats/emails were being monitored.

SoundTouch® Portable system (2013) trying to pair the speaker via bluetooth from computer

There is no where on the device where I see a bluetooth button to hold down to get it to enter into pairing mode.

the device comes up as an option on my computer in the bluetooth section but there's no way to actually pair it. What am I missing?

Ride the D! Who is going to opening day?

I live in Mid City West so tomorrow is a really exciting day for my neighborhood. I'm taking a few hours off from work to go to opening day festivities. Are people outside of the neighborhood excited? I spoke with a neighbor yesterday, who is not public transit adverse, and she wasn't even aware of the opening, which I found boggling. She said it's because she doesn't get the LA Times anymore. Anyway, is anyone else excited and going on opening day or am I just a subway nerd? I'm not offended if you call me one.
