Just replaced a lost love
Some years ago things were a little tight and I had to thin out my watches. One of the ones I let go was a N.Y. Watch co. Coin Silver Hunter KW KS. I've regretted letting that one go ever since and have been watching for a suitable replacement for the last year or two. I've only rarely bought watches on ebay but this one popped up the other day priced reasonably from a seller with good feedback and good return policy so I took a shot. It's a N.Y. Watch Co Chester Woolworth grade 15j KW KS. My old case was a little nicer and wasn't polished, but this puppy found a home. I've had it about 48 hours and it's ± less than 2 minutes. The dial is flawless, the doors fit flush, the door spring is firm, the catch is perfect. I just wish it wasn't polished - but I'll keep looking and maybe find a mate for this one.

Tried two new (to us) varieties, and a new fertilizer, Espona organic liquid concentrated 1-3-1, this year. Proves the old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it.

On July 4, 1942, the first US bomber mission flown from England began.
Pictured is B-17G "Liberty Belle" (NOT the first mission as in the title - just an example of a B-17)
