A selfie with death

A small rodent smiles for a quick snap before becoming dinner for this white-tailed kite, a raptor native to south America!

If "Oh shit" had a face, it would look something like this guy.

September 20/21st 2012

I remember seeing this when it happened, by some absolute devine coincidence, this video appeared on on my youtube feed, did anyone else experience it? The reason I remember it was cause I was smoking outside with a friend whos 17th birthday it was!

We believed it to be a plane that had broken up in flight, one of the coolest things I've ever seen, naturally being that age I was high as a kite which compiled the experience 😂🌿

Video

Obviously not my footage, I seen it over Central Scotland *

Best view in Scotland?

Very possibly the most stunning view i have seen with my own eyes, imagine opening your curtains to this every morning! INCREDIBLE! Have never seen a beach so beautiful and so remote, the only person on the whole stretch (as far as i can remember) was 1 woman walking her dog!

Do i have the worlds friendliest betta?

Has anyone else had an unusually placid betta?

I've always heard bettas are aggressive and territorial, but mine is the complete opposite.

He never attacks or chases any of my other fish, is perfectly happy swimming into a crowd during feeding time, and doesn't even flare at his own reflection. I've tried showing him a mirror out of curiosity, and he just looks at it for a second before swimming away.

He's active, eats well, and otherwise seems perfectly healthy.. He just seems to have absolutely no aggression in him.

Has anyone else had a betta with a temperament like this, or have I just ended up with the chillest betta ever?

Lonely Tetra

Staying at a hotel for work tonight, noticed they had a tank in reception, literally the first thing you see as you walk in the main door, was looking forward to seeing it until I noticed this lone wolf neon tetra, id have liked to have taken him home if I had the means, maybe next time ill bring him a few mates... he was hiding in the corner when I arrived initially. Shame

Drone photos of our cracking countryside!

Here are some pictures I have taken over the past 5 years, mostly the northern coastal area. Ive had the privilege to be paid to work in places like this. Scotland truly is 1 of a kind, I urge anyone who hasn't ventured into the middle of nowhere to do it soon! Incredible to look at and definitely good for the soul!

Java browning?

As the title suggests, the java has a bit of browning which seems to be slowly spreading, some leafs with holes, mostly healthy, I have added liquid fertiliser, c02 running also
