Investing on the behalf of kids
My kids each have about $2k in their bank accounts, mostly from us forcibly banking a good amount of their Christmas/birthday money. It sits there accruing an essentially negligible amount of interest.
I see that Sharesies have kids accounts, and I wonder if it is prudent to put my kids money in one - I feel anxious about this, because investing money on someone else's behalf comes with added responsibility compared with investing your own.
Should I put my kids savings in a S&P 500 type managed index thing instead of just leaving it in the bank? For what it's worth I'm a novice at this, have never had spare money of my own to invest.
First time using Allen Bradley PLC
I have exclusively worked with Schneider and Crouzet smart relays and PLC's and HMI's up until now. I have a client who has an AB 2080-LC50-24QWB PLC attached to an AB Panelview 800 HMI. It looks like I can use standard USB-A and USB-B cables to connect to my laptop so won't need proprietary cables? The other question is what software do I need, I'm getting conflicting info online but it looks like the program I need to work with both is CCW?
Another Human Operative
My small AL force is slowly growing, unfortunately I paint very slow! Legs, arms and head are Solar Auxilia, Skitarii torso, cloak and backpack, Astartes scout shotgun.
I have the starter set from 2021 that has Drepur's Wraithcreepers and Storm of Celestus warbands in it. I understand that this is a stripped-down rule set that has no magic etc.
If I want to start playing the proper/full game of UW does anything from this box actually carry over? I assume the decks don't. How do I get into the full game, do I have to buy one of the full boxes like Emberguard?
Picked up Alpharius from a crate, but struggling to get even close to trigger his 16E card. Any tips? I have Hydran Exemplar and 2x 25-2 Rhino to generate traps, but it still hasn't worked for me.
As per title - I'm wanting to involve my kids more as they're showing interest, specifically M10.
I haven't played 40K since 4th edition, and haven't played any other game. I only model/paint currently, any have the following (or am building the following):
- Warhammer Underworlds 1st Edition Starter Set
- Several 40K killteams, which I could build up to combat patrol
- 1x AOS spearhead
There's a ton of games out there - 40K, AOS, Killteam, WarCry, Underworlds, Spearhead, Combat Patrol, Darktide, Quest, Blackstone Fortress, INQ etc, just not sure if any one is easier to understand than others? Length of game is probably also a factor (more concise being easier to hold a kid's attention).
I'm a 35M INFP, feel like I'm flailing about in life - I own a house, married with kids, but I feel nothing inside. Devoid of passion, no aspirations. I've never been one to set goals, and when I do I generally don't stick to them. When I think back on my life, almost every big decision e.g. vocation has just been something I've "fallen" into, not something I was passionate about or sought out.
Even the hobbies I enjoy feel hollow, and if I was never able to do them again I'd feel indifferent about that. Anyone here able to relate or give any advice? Specifically regarding goals, purpose, passion?
