Hey guys, completely new to XLR mics for gaming/ streaming / voiceovers. I have the Podmic, plugged in XLR to a focusrite scarlet solo.

Im trying to do a voiceover using voice recorder but the voice volume is so quiet. I have my gain knob at about 60/70 as if I crank it to 100, I feel like it picks up someone breathing from a few doors down.

Is it meant to be this quiet then I adjust gain on premiere / obs? Or am I missing a trick? I have the focusrite software but it seems heavily minimal and tbh i dont know what im doing. Ive moved from a lapel mic that picks up everything in the environment to a directional mic. But it feels like my lips have to be physically touching the metal to be anywhere near tangible.

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem im having with OBS. I have a 5090 and an i9 13900kf- I want to play and record games at their max resolution 4k/ultra graphics/120fps. I use source record to record grameplay at hevc nvenc, and the webcam at x264 (different encoders). I also try to multistream onto twitch at 1080p and use tiktok live studio (seperate app) to stream to tiktok. I think this uses H.265. I also try and make the main recording outside of the source recording to as little encoding and quality as possible so it is cbr at like 100kbps or something.so my pc isnt essentially rendering the main video but just the source records.

My main recordings (my game and my cam) which I upload to YouTube after editing on Premiere use these settings:- Game capture CQP 18 P1 SINGLE PASS, Webcam CRF 20 VERYFAST

Ive also noticed that when I try and play a game- let's say 007 First Light, I see that the FPS isnt up to scratch and hovers between 34/60 if i have it at 120 cap. I see zero dropped frames but obviously im ticking at half frame rate.If I bring it down to 60 cap, it actually stays at 60 for the most part and I havent seen any drops. My gameplay has limit frame rate on and my canvas is 4k output, 2k scaled, 60fps.

My main question here is is there any way to do all this and play my game at 120 without the frame dips that cause my game recording / streams to stutter? Essentially play my game at 120, record in 60 and actually keep a 60 fps recording / stream? Or is 60 cap literally my only option?

Ive been having an issue recently where obs works perfectly fine but then I go into virtual desktop and record to record either gameplay or my webcam whilst im playing, and the obs software becomes flickery and then non responsive and crashes. I would open it up 10 times and it would do this 10 times in a row. Does anyone know whats causing this?

I run 4k at 60 on obs. Even with everything turned off except my 1080p webcam, it still happens

Hi guys, as the title says, I wanted to know what settings are best such as video codec or format that people use to edit on premiere. Im normally on h264 but I hear it edits poorly. I then changed to av1 but then premiere doesnt like it. I know davinci is fine with it, but i dont really want to learn a whole new editing software lol

My smartube only buffers when im watching live streams like the current state of play. Nothing else buffers this much. Anyone know a fix? Im on shield pro, wired ethernet,

Hey guys im brand new and basically still have no idea what im doing. Managed to download a few videos before I start getting some sort of authentication error. I looked online and tried ai but even everything it said about downloading cookies and using that or just using cookies with browsers didnt seem to work and still refused to download. What am I doing wrong? Any help is welcome!

My intro for my youtube channel consists of gameplay being track matte keyed so you can see the gameplay through my title (video 2) but also, I alt- drag up to a different point so I copy it but it doesnt retain the same size and position of the original video. This also seems to be a heavily mixed bag where sometimes it would in fact keep the same position/ size but half the time it wont and I dont understand why. My title is only meant to show text in full colour (video 3) then pen tooled to turn down in opacity to show video 2 which is the see through text, and then video 1 is the gameplay underneathe but I dont understand what im doing differently sometimes for it to not keep the same size / position as when I click on them both, it says the same size and positions so I can't even copy attributes over but theyre obviously not the same size/ position! Please help lol

My premiere has an issue with files that were encoded in av1 and wondered if there was any fixes for this?

I'm currently capturing my gameplay as well as my webcam(plus audio and mic) using source record plugin. This is fine but sometimes I get horrific gpu encoding errors. Would it be more beneficial to record gameplay on my main pc and then record my webcam and mic from a (not great) laptop and just transfer over? I know some people capture their "face" footage from actual professional cameras and port them over but in terms of my webcam (insta360 link 2) and mic (lark m2) what would anyone suggest is the best step? My pc is high end

Hey guys, was wondering something in case anyone can shed some light. I want to get evil inside vr but it said it comes to psvr2 and quest may 7. What about steam? Does the base version have VR or is it just not available for pcvr? Thanks in advance

Ive set up source recording plugin and use openvr plugin and a webcam simultaneously but recently my vr recording just isn't saving. I make sure to choose its recording folder but it just doesn't turn up. It's nowhere so I assume it's not recording at all. Anyone know why this is or if there's a way to record vr in the best quality with stabilisation? Any help appreciated
