Update: they added flags to the 100-year old flag pole on my street. Thanks, NYC Parks and Mayor Mamdani!
Not sure what triggered it, but:
• I posted on Reddit about discovering this flag pole (with no flag) in LIC that dates back to 1919. Redditors have idea to raise $$ for a nice flag
• Last week, I filed a 311 report about adding a flag; that ticket remains open
• Today I walk by and see flags!
The flags are pretty small 😭 But this is definitely a step in the right direction. Thanks to NYC Parks and the Mayor for listening to constituents!

Multiple flights stranded at LGA
Been on the tarmac for hours (aa1942 - Google says we left. Not true!). Many planes waiting to leave. Wish we would give up and deplane, I already missed my connection.
UPDATE: in an Uber back to Queens now. Eventually deplaned so I canceled my trip and got a refund 😭

Best breakfast burrito in LIC?
Anyone have any leads? So far I've had:
• Partners: 1/5: Just awful. Very bland. No spice.
• Mexican Food truck at Court Square: 3.5/5. Good, but no twist to elevate as a great breakfast burrito or one I crave
